Software used: Mathcad Prime 10There are 2 Matrices defined as below: I want to create a function with these 2 matrices as input, to compare the values of 1 matrix to the other.How can i do this?I tried doing it like below, But it seems that a function depending on another variable (pnumber or row in this case) cannot be given as an input to another function.IsParamMatch(RBoM_fixed_params_list(pnumber),RParameter_fixed_params_list(row)) 

I want to move my Mathcad Prime 3.0 license from one machine to another. I have the Service Contract Number (SCN), but not the product code required to proceed. Can I retrieve the product code from the SCN? 

Electrical engneering uses RMS(Root Mean Square) values for the signal wave forms. Using the magnitude of the waveforms to be 1, rectangilar , sine and triangle waveforms show the RMS values 1/sqrt(1), 1/sqrt(2) and s1/qrt(3), respectively. So, find the 1/sqrt(4) and 1/sqrt(5) RMS waveforms with magnitudes = 1. Also find the average values of each wavefrom.  Advanced problem.Make the f(x,n). It provides the above answers.

I'm writing a journal article and importing lots of MathCAD equations into Word (.  There's three ways to show a MathCAD equation, colon, control-equals or equals.  Only the equals key gives me a publishable equals sign (colon gives a colon-equals, shift-colon a bold equals)., but I can't use the equals key to show variables on both sides without one of the variables turning red ("This variable is undefined"), or if defined, other problems. Any ideas? ...Larry

I am unable to install Mathcad Prime 11 on my Windows 11 PC. When I attempt the install, I get the following error message even though I already have .NET Framework 4.8.9 installed (apparently it is now part of Windows 11 and cannot be uninstalled):  Anyone have a fix/workaround for this? 

Hi, I am trying to make a calculation sheet however i have unit problems since mathcad doesn't seem to work correctly. First is calculating parallel resistance gives a weird result but can manually be corrected.  For example RPV should come as ohms then further down Ilimh*RPV should clearly come as volts.....

MathCAD seems to recognise milli-, kilo- and mega- versions of certain units (eg mW, kW, MW, mm, km) but not others (eg kJ, MJ, kmol).  I find that I am almost always having to start a worksheet by defining kJ or kmol ... which is a real nuisance and seems unneccesary. So:- what is the rationale behind the units that have kilo-, milli- or mega- versions?- is there a way of ensuring that these combos are defined for every worksheet (the new Prime 11 units change is no help here)? 

I have a version of Mathcad 5.0 which I downloaded in 2019.I would like to install and run on a new computer.Can you advise if this is possible?

Good morning, PTC Community:I am getting stuck in quite a simple solve block. See attached for pipe min wall thickness calculation.A sensible solution for OD is somewhere slightly greater than 0.60-inch.Is this related to TOL or CTOL commands? Even if I take the TOL or CTOL off, the solution gets stuck in the solver.Do I have too many items in the Guess block?I use Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0. Your review and suggestions for a fix will be appreciated. Regards,Joseph T.

Since @ttokoro  recently once again tried to take us into the world of riddles and puzzles (-> Find BC:CD - PTC Community), I thought I would follow up with a problem that I dealt with some time ago.   Its the 123 year old Haberdasher problem, posed originally by the famous puzzle inventor Henry Dudeney. Actually there are various different publishing dates around - 1902, 1903, 1907 ...   The task is to divide an equilateral triangle of side length 1 with three straight, but not necessarily continuous, cuts into four parts so that they can then be put together to form a square. Dudeney provided the solution only in the form of a drawing, but without specifying the exact dimensions. Let D and E be the midpoints of AC and AB. The first cut runs from E to a point F on AB. The other two cuts run from D and G perpedicular to EF. G is a point an AB and it can easily be seen that AG = AF+0.5 (or equivalent GB = 0.5-AF). The four pieces now can be assembled to form

I've been using Mathcad Prime 3.0 for a few years now.  With annual subscriptions, I'd expect that updates would keep me current, but seeing that there's a version 11.0 now, looks like I was wrong.   My IT department loaded 3.0 on my new laptop, which should have been the same as on my old desktop, but I cannot open the files created previously.  I get the message "This file is not compatible with your current version of Mathcad, because it is from a more recent version of Mathcad".   Any ideas on why this is happening?   What later versions of Prime would still be able to open these 3.0 files?

first time posting a question and I lack experience about using Mathcad Prime 9.I was trying to realize what I have done in MATLAB by using Mathcad prime 9. After judging the working range(time) , and calculating the corresponding currents, I hope to plot the result on a 2D sheet but find no solutions.

I have run into this "Bad_Solve_Body" unknown error in my first solve block in the attached.Just to make sure that I can indeed construct solve blocks correctly, I tried a second solve block, and all looks well. Could you please take a look at the first solve block and let me know what could be wrong?I use Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0. Thanks much.Joseph Thodiyil

After a computer crash, I tried to install Mathcad 14 (I have the license file and DVD) from the DVD on a spare computer running Windows 11 Home. The installation aborted with a message stating that not all files could be installed. What do I need to do to ensure a successful installation?

I have installed Matchcad 11.0.0.0 in my PC. I want to activate the purchased license.  When I want to get the mailed license, the system ask me to get product code for Mathcad 11.0.0.0.  Where can I get the code?Thanks Tim

I am trying to install Mathcad Prime trial. My problem is that I am ont receiving a installation email after submitting my information on your website. I have checked my spam folder and it is not there either.

So I have just installed MathCAD Prime 11 so that I can finally have custom units. So now I can get 'MPa' and mm as my preferred units, but how do I get MathCAD Prime 11 to evaluate a moment as 'kNm' instead of  'J' (joules)?

My Mathcad 15 license is no longer functions for last several days (offers to open License Wizard every time when starting. Despite pointing to correct license file, it does not work on next attempt to start). The same license file worked normally for years. The same license file works fine for Prime 5. cpuid.exe returns a HostID matching the license file. I downloaded a new license file, also not working. Nothing else changed on computer as far as I know. It does not appear I can get PTC support as a legacy user. Any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

People have been asking for this since at least 2013. Case in point: https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/Setting-default-units-in-Mathcad-Prime-3-0/m-p/59447#M23559   This seems like a pretty trivial thing, so it kinda just blows my mind that eight years later we STILL cannot modify the default units for results in Mathcad Prime, like we were able to in Mathcad 15.   To make it clear what I'm talking about: I understand that I can set the default unit SYSTEM, (to SI, USCS, or CGS) which is great and all.However, let's say for example I'd like for all pressure calculation results to have units of KSI by default. In Mathcad Prime, this very simple feature is not included. The program displays all USCS pressure calculation results in PSI. I can then manually change the units of the result to be whatever I'd like, of course. But imagine doing this over and over again while doing a series of lengthy calculations.
