Mathcad

I entered registration data to obtain a download link, received the link, and downloaded the installer. When I run the installer, it starts unpacking, but at the end of the unpacking process, the installer simply closes, and that's it.I tried extracting the installer and looking for the files mentioned on forum, but the only executable file in the installer is setup.exe.I also followed the advice from: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs200121?_gl=1*1vpgx6s*_gcl_au*MTU0MDU5NTUzNy4xNzUwMDU1NTA3*_ga*NjYzMzMxOTgzLjE3NTAwNTU1MDQ.*_ga_7NMP2MSYPM*czE3NTAwNTU1MDUkbzEkZzEkdDE3NTAwNTk4MDEkajYkbDAkaDA.

Hello mathcad 10.0 Prime User,I wanted to ask if someone knows how to use the the "solve-block" to find two missing variables in an equation. Or if there might be a different way? I have previously installed Mathcad on my computer a few times over the last few years, when a class required it. I am trying to install the free version because I am teaching a class, and although I have entered my credentials several times, clicked download and waited a few hours (checking spam too) I haven't received a download link. Any ideas on how to get access to the free version? Thanks!

Hello everyoneI've had the same problem as descripted here twice this week:Unable to activate Excel componentI work with an embedded excel table which contains a function. At a certain point I get the error message "Excel is busy; can't activate Excel. Make sure that cells are not being edited in Excel and try again in a few seconds." but there is no instance of excel open. Upon restarting mathcad and/or my computer the problem remains.Does anyone know how to solve this problem?Could someone please check the appended file so I can exclude an error of my sytem?Cheers!

Does FIND stop searching for a more accurate solution when it finds a solution satisfying CTOL?  For example suppose I want to find temperature to within .5 F and I set CTOL to .5.  Will Mathcad stop searching when CTOL is met or will it continue searching until some smaller CTOL is achieved?  Note: my Solve Block is solving for 1 unknown with units (BTU/min).  My constraint has units of degF.  I found that units can be applied to CTOL but then FIND does not work.  Also I have a case where I set CTOL to .4, but the FIND solve block found an answer (solution) at which the error is .53733 which is larger than CTOL.  So why is FIND returning a solution? PS:  My constraint is 0 =ABS(T1-T1x)  +  ABS(T2-T2x) 

Hello! I am working in mathcad prime 9.0.0.0 and am wondering why mathcad calculates end result units like this:why do the units on the results automatically display as such? To me it would be logical for it to display kip x ft as the unit since those are the units of the values being multiplied and is also a commonly used unit for moments or torques. Is there a way to get it to automatically show kip x ft as the units?

Hello people 🤗 Mathcad 10 Prime User here,In my picture below you will see that the equation is giving me a very weird answer. I guess it has something to do with a vector problem, but I tried everything and can't figure out what the problem might be. And I also don't understand why my "header" is showing an error. The table from Excel should be my answer. Don't get confused by "yi"and "y" - it's the same thing, it can be ignored. I also send the mathcad pdf (i don't know why I can't send the actual file but anyways - it always said error) - all the equations are correctly written. Thanks for any help.Saro

Hi Folks, I have a system of three coupled ODEs that I'm trying to solve in Prime 10.  I seem to have a  syntax error, but the help files are so terse, I can find an example to follow.  I'm sure I'm making a basic mistake, but I can't figure it out from the documentation. I'd be most obliged if someone could point me in the right direction. The attached file actually has two different solution attempts in it.  The first is a state space solution with rkfixed.  I followed a short example from the documentation, but it doesn't work.  The second is the uses odesolve in a solve block.  I'd be happy if I could get either one to work, but the solve block version seems like it takes better advantage of Prime's features. Edit:  I figured out the problem with the odesolve solution.  I defined three of the initial conditions incorrectly.  I wrote x1'(t)=0  rather than x1'(0)=0.  That just leaves the state space

Hi,I have a load of legacy MCD files that I wanted to convert to the new format to use. In the trial version I don't appear to have access to the full functionality of Mathcad Prime.To help me evaluate the software is there anyway I can use the XMCD, MCD converter tab to automate this? Otherwise I'm not really sure how I can use the trial to evaluate the software without the original files?Any help you could give would be apricated.Regards,Steve Fay

Hello newbie here, (user of Mathcad Prime 10.0)I wanted to ask if anyone can explain how to use normal Iteration in Mathcad. Like, I have different equations and I want to create 5 loops or "intervals" to get my answer. I always used "solve block" for iteration, but now this won't work. I want to create something like this: I tried asking AI but it only gave me nonsense. How do I copy paste large data in first column of combo box? Rest columns I am able to copy paste the data but first column how to do that? 

I have three stacked blocks with widths denoted as B1, B2, and B3. Each block is 4 feet high, and the bottom elevation of the lowest block is defined by BotEL.The ground surface is represented by a set of known points with X and Y coordinates describing its sloping geometry.For each block, I need to determine the coordinates of two intersection points with the ground surface. These are labeled a1 and b1 for the first block, a2 and b2 for the second, and so on.The "a" points correspond to the vertical lines at the right edge of each block, where the X-coordinate aligns with the block’s right edge. The corresponding Y-coordinate must be interpolated from the ground profile at that X-location, The "b" points correspond to lines forming an angle θ (theta) with the ground as shown. There are no errors, they are well written, but Mathcad does not recognize formulas or numbers, it pastes them as text... Is there any way to solve this? Hello everyone,eff.K shown in picture is radius of curvature along beam length and X is the array for sectional points.I have to double integrate eff.K to get deflection. How can i do it in Mathcad? Attached Mathcad 10 sheet.  

I would like to write a program to create a nested array. I have a column vector containing angle values. I want to iterate through this vector and create an array of arrays with each element being [cos(angle) sin(angle)]. I am sure this is not difficult, but the syntax is not clear to me at present. I am trying to reinstall MATHCAD 15 (JA150006E3006-Q3PF-8VYW)on a new WINDOWS 11 computer. The installation fails by telling me that MSXML 4.0 SP2 is required. The link provided is dead and Microsoft tells me that MSXML 4.0 SP2 is no longer available.What should I do?Best regards,Rich
