Mathcad

I come across these type of equations all the times where I have to find a variable displayed on both sides of an equation and if derived can lead to a quadratic or cubic.However I would like to know if there is any way without deriving the equation, to find the value for me? I try to do this but it does not work. see image below.I also would like to Know if Mathcad does algebraic operations and can cancel out variables or convert complex equations into their simplest forms?Thanks

Hi All, I have a simple summing circuit. Two sources  are the inputs via two resistors to generate a weighted signal Vref. Then this Vref is multiplying by a constant number "ratio" to get a Vout. The details of my circuit can be seen here:My target V1,V2 are within 0 to 5.3V, and target 10>"ratio">1, and all resistors should be between 10K to 1M ohm.  Right now I am not able to use if condition to solve the equation array to figure out what V1,V2,R1,R2 are. I have uploaded my worksheet in the attachment. Would anyone teach me how can I calculate these values within the reasonable range, by maintaining the other two parameters "ratio" and "Rsum1" within their reasonable range? Thank you!

Hello EverybodyI use MATHCAD PRIME 3.0.Does some one coulp help me with the syntax to set a value to a matrix' element in an array of matrix?On this example AA is an array/vector of 2 matrix 5x80.I can access to an element to get his value (67.34) but I am not able to set a value to this same element.Maybe the syntax I use is incorrect..Please Help !!!

I have issues updating results. No matter how many times I hit ctr+F9. I have tried moving the equation above the predecessor and sometime it works but sometime I have to close the application and seems to solve the problem.Please see attached.

In Matlab, when I plan to extract a submatrix from a large matrix in the following situation:Say I want to extract row and column 1 and 4 from K, I can create an index matrix and do this:idx = [4 1; 1 2; 2 3; 3 5];k = K(idx(1,:),idx(1,:));But in Mathcad, the built in function submatrix can only extract continuous row and column ranges.Is there a way to let Mathcad do the same job as in Matlab?BestShawn

The mathcad is unable to solve definite integral to yield array output. The input is also in array form. Even if I put limits in the closed form of integral it yields only a single value instead of array. Please solve this problem. The integral and other steps with problems are highlighted.

I'm sure this is pretty simple but for some reason I can't make sense of the help files.  I'm not sure what the proper terminology is so here's an example of what I'm trying to do:  I would like to have Mathcad tell me that f = .055P  (i.e. P/18).  How do I do that?  Right now it tells me that P is undefined; do I just need to define it, and if so, how do I do that?Thanks in advance!

Hello,In the derivation of the Gamma function, in its integral representation, you get an unusual result shown in the figure in the green rectangle. What to do to not generate it?The result is correct, but the fact that Mathcad, in representing the generalized integral with the limit, has changed the variable of integration, assigning any, in the example X253, surprises me somewhat.Thanks for the attentionWith best regards

My Prime 2 (student academic version) had stopped working. Its on my computer which is the backup now used predominantly. It had a downloaded Windchill ProductPoint Client Manager, then reloaded Prime 2, and had the latest license email dat file placed in the same folder as the drive the program is installed in, and also tired with the older license dat file. Failed. I get an error message each time that changes its number its 'An Unhandled exception occured on the dispatcher thread. See C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\Mathcad  Prime_Exception_20160914_214823.log. Academic license so please help. I need to get it running asap. If  you are with PTC please help also I had spent hours with different configurations.

The attached Mathcad prime 3.1 file and jpg is attempting to make a vector using a counter but I get the error as shown. Why does Prime not let me make the results a vector? My ultimate goal is to find local and global max/min of the resulting vector.Also, is there a way to display the vectors horizontally? The transpose command doesn't appear to work on i.

Hello,I am trying to do a 3d plot of an m x n matrix. I know that each point is plotted as an elevation on the z axe versus its respecctive row (x axis) and column y axis index. The values in the matrix are very diffrent, i mean i have -62 1.2 1 and 5.7 *10^9,  and i don't find for example the poin (1,1,-62) on the plot. Is it because the max values are so diffrent from the min values? Thank you

‌Can someone at PTC explain to us why Mathsoft that had a revenue of only $20 million was able to deliver a Mathcad product that is superior in just about everway to Mathcad Prime 3.1? If you recall, before PTC purchased Mathsoft for $62 million (yes they got a bargain) we had a Mathcad version with scriptable objects, Mathcad web server, flexible plotting with grid lines and dual y, legends and so on, the choice of solvers in the solve blocks, a faster interface, less ugly solve blocks, and the ability to save in a MS Word format. Probably the only thing missing was the units in solve blocks and auto numbering of equations as is done in Maple. Now we are told that probably not even version 5 of Mathcad will not have all these misting features That we had ten years ago. According to what I read PTC has revenues of 1.5 Billion per year. So the real question that one has to ask is how can a company 75 times the size of the original Mathsoft be so incompetent? What did happen to the origi

I am able to have units show up correctly in the y-axis but when I put seconds in the x-axis, it adds 1/s to it.  Does the x-axis have to remain unitless?
