Background:Although unimportant to my question, I am trying to resurrect a Filon Method of Fourier Transforms that I used over 30 years ago in a Fortran code (see my profile😕).  I am in the first steps, which require that I develop a polynomial fit to the function to be transformed.  Another function will not work in this method.My quandaries:Attached is a Mathcad 15 code for the first steps of this process.  You will also need the subroutine called; it is attached also.  I searched the PTC Community and found this reference:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/The-best-way-to-extract-polynomial-coefficients-and-form-an/m-p/345426#M135001It states that the coefficients of the polynomial fit are the result of the regress(x,y,order) function.  However, that cannot be correct as I show in my worksheet. Is this the difference between Mathcad 15 and Prime?  My Prime version is very old and and I not very experienced with it.If that is not the case, how do

I have six tests and I have done the calculation for one test I need to do the same calculation for the remaining five tests and I don't want to copy paste the calculation, I want to use the same sheet for all the tests with enabling all the functions and calculation to change according to the input values ( general calculation). Hi, I have converted a calculation sheet from MathCAD 15 to MathCAD Prime 8. However, the macros embedded excel file is not working. I was prompted the message "macros is disabled". I have chosen the enables macros function in excel, but it is not working. I have to save the excel file separately to update the calculation but this will not reflect in the MathCAD,    Please help.

It's a new, 2024 version of our "Happy Easter!" Easter Egg!What's different from the previous years' eggs is that this one is in Mathcad Prime 9, which allows us to use the "More Colors..." custom colour picker, for a far wider range of designs than before. The attached worksheet predominantly uses PTC's colour palette, which requires use of the custom colour picker... but there are some extra fun (non-PTC), previously unusable colours too, like pure green (0,255,0) and pink.   Happy Easter 2024!

I converted a file from MathCad 15 to MathCad Prime 9. After the converting was made, MathCad Prime 9 is marking some of the variables with red Box saying that this variable is not defined (See screeshot). I noticed that the Problem is that Variable contains two level of subsripts and Mathcad Prime 9 cant see the second subscript. As a result all Variables will be seen as only one variable and not multiple diffrent variables. Can someone help me please? Thank you Greetings

In old Mathcad versions, the program performed calculation step by step, during the visualization of the page. Thus if you changed the value of a variable that was involved in a lot of formulas in the sheet, this action did not lead to a lot of calcs that you didn't need in that moment but only to the ones that you were interested in.Prime versions, perform all the calcs where the variable is involved, even those you are not visualizing and therefore are useless for you in that moment.This behaviour is strongly disappointing for long spreadsheets, where old Mathcad versions are much more satisfying.I wonder why this this behaviour has been changed moving from Mathcad to Prime. Hi Folks, Here's a problem I saw on Dell laptop a while back and now have on my new desktop - a Dell running Windows 11.  I made a simple function of x and y.  It looks fine as a contour plot, but the 3D plot won't render.  Has anyone else seen this? This is the only graphics related problem I've had with either machine, so it doesn't feel like a driver issue. Thanks for your attention 🙂 Mark  

I have several measured data sets.  Each dataset will result in a curve with y-axis (ordinate) is its magnitude (in dB) and with x-axis (abscissa) is angle (in degrees).  There is fairly large equal spacing between points along their respective abscissa axis, and with accuracy important for this work, interpolation was necessary.  I chose to work with a cubic spline to avoid the Runge issue near boundaries.  As you'll see in the attached worksheet, each curve is not perfectly symmetric about zero.  Some peak near zero, and some curve's peak is much further away.  The goal is to automatically determine an accurate estimate of the angle where the curve's value is 3 dB below the level of the maximum.  There should be two such angles - one on either side of zero.  Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty making the symbolic solve and/or solve block to work on just one dataset.  But the goal of course is to potentially program this to autom

Hello everyone, I am encountering difficulties setting up a 2D interpolation in Mathcad. My objective is to determine the parameters A, B, C, and D for two given inputs: ratio "r" and delta "δ." The dataset is categorized into four groups based on Ratios: 0.25, 0.5, 2, and 4. Each group is associated with a specific set of Deltas and corresponding parameters A through D. While I have managed to interpolate within a single Ratio group, my challenge arises when attempting to interpolate for a ratio value that falls outside these defined groups, such as 3.5. Attached is my Mathcad Prime 7 worksheet for reference. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Note: When the delta input "δ" exceeds the highest Delta value in a given Ratio group, the output should correspond to the highest Delta record's values, as extrapolation beyond this point is not allowed.  

I was looking at Wikipedia to find out if a given type of matrix had a particular name (like the Zero or Pascal matrices do).  At the end of one article, there was a link to the category of Array Languages, so I had a quick look and ... Mathcad wasn't on it.    In fact, there are are a plethora of places, inside and outside of Wikipedia, that I would expect Mathcad to show up, but it rarely does.   Even the Infobox on the Mathcad Wikipedia article isn't up to date - it's showing Prime 5.0 as the latest release.   I was wondering if PTC's marketing people had any kind of remit to keep the most common websites, etc up to date and to ensure that Mathcad has a reasonable web presence?   Stuart   PS. I am trying to solve a simple expression using a solve block with units.  By inspection, all the units are consistent and the solver should work, but I get a message "These units are not compatible".  Any assistance in getting the syntax/format correct would be appreciated.

Tells me I have reached the maximum number of licenses. I have prime 7 exress and would like to install prime 9 express. It keeps asking me for some license everytime I install the free version. I also cannot load the knowledge articles below. The links don't work, it jsut does some funny animations and does not load the community pages.
