Mathcad

Hi guys, i have some complex IMPRODUCT combined with some if statements within excel. I have inserted and excel element into mathcad. I am trying to strip out the excel elements and cant see to find the mathcad version of these excel functions. sheet is attached 🙂  thanks guys

To allI was writing a couple of simple transfer functions in a document when it crossed my mind to check if Mathcad 15 could change the fraction to a partial fraction form - some kind of intellectual (professional?) curiosity more than anything. Of particular interest was to check if I could get the residual (of the fraction).Well it does not quite work out-of-the box. Most likely a reflection of me not using the defined keywords correctly but I expected mcad 15 to return a better partial fraction (based on the examples).What is wrong syntax-wise?thanks

Has anyone come up with a simple approach to handling values with units that are then used in an expression that has exponents on the values.  For example, I know there has been previous discussion of concrete compressive strength, f"c being used in an expression where the square root of f'c is used.  The solution seems to be to divide out the units under the radical. In the case of a fractional exponent, i.e., (12 in) ^1.5, I am dividing the value by the units (inches in this case) and the result is acceptable. Thank you for your input and suggestions.  Perhaps the people at PTC can issue an instruction paper on handling units and exponentiation.

I would like to solve one ODEs boundary problem (find v) with using user functions based on the Odesolve function. But 1. Cannot use root or Find functions 2. Very slowly calculation 3. I must restart my Prime 6 etc Help please! PS I cannot write this problem in Polar coordinates! See attach.

So I have a hw problem that doesn't need to be solved this way but I have a feeling I will be using the Modified bishops method on a future project so I wanna take my time on this. Basically, I have two equations :This is a function to find the Factor of Safety for a slope under certain conditions. In the actual psi equation, the F is The same FS in the upper eq. This requires an iterative process where you guess a F run it through psi and then the FS function. You then compare F to the resulting FS to see how close they are. You continue guessing F until F and FS converge to a similar number. The summations with the variable I represent the 7 different vertical slices that are being summed to form the whole slope. I want to write a program where I can input F as a sequence like 1,2 .. n. It then should pick the first F and run it through psi summing over the 7 slices. Does anyone know how I can read a binary comtrade data file.  In this case "File.dat"What is comtrade? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comtrade.I am interested in displaying the File.dat The others are easy to open in mathcad.Once I can view it then I can do further processing to it in mathcadThanks.

Hi!So probably a pretty stupid and basic question.The function. All functions are linear btw.f0(x) := C(x)*f1(x)+f2(x)And i want to solve for x when f0 = 5 (just a random number) Hope it makes sense. Thanks in advance

Hello everyone.  I'm trying to make a spreadsheet that graphs partial uniform loads and seem to have run into an issue. It all works for the most part. However, when trying to graph, the graph typically "fails" in certain places. See my attached file and notice the missing portion of the graph at x=8.4ft.  Is there any way to fix this? Note that I've already tried messing with the TOL global variable to no avail. It usually causes the break to move to a different place in the graph and doesn't actually fix anything. If it does fix it then it is usually just for that one case and if you put in different loads/locations it'll break again. What should I do?

After windows update, i can no longer use the CTRL+SHIFT+M shortcut to add a math region on the canvas or in a text region. I use this shortcut heavily every day, anyone else have the same issue?

To all,   Note a mathematical question per say but one about “shortand” with Mathcad 15. Is there a way of defining the coefficient of a polynome (say as a vector) and tell Mathcad that I want a full polynome like this: P(x)=a0+a1x+a2*x^2 + …. + an*x^n   (= SUM (an*x^n)) I can see the factor and expand commands but cannot find anything that does what I want/looking for.   Thanks

I am looking for a tool that allows me to access the edit or save history of a file in Mathcad Prime, much like what is found in Creo. I cannot find what I am looking for in Mathcad Prime. Any clues? Regards,/Mark

Hello everyone  I'm very new to Mathcad and I'm trying to learn my way through it so excuse me if my question seems kinda obvious.I've been trying to make Mathcad rewrite an equation for me.Here I want to rewrite the equation in terms of l but I can't figure out how, could someone help with that please?

Instead of the current way:L :=10ftF:= 5000 lbfM=F*L=50,000 ft-lbf It would solve like this:L :=10ftF:= 5000 lbfM=F*L= (5000 lbf)(10ft) = 50,000 ft-lbf It would help checking calculation packages especially if defined variables are coming from a referenced  worksheet file or 50 pages earlier.

Example. I have to pay tax, but naturally I don’t want to do it. I believe that the state is spending my money incorrectly. I will "cheat" (похимичу - do chemistry) a little and pay less than required by law. Chemist's Day, October 23rd, is also my birthday. Today I turned exactly 73 years old. It is easy to remember - in SI there are 7 basic units of measurement, and in the CGS - three. PS By the way, the word mol (моль) in Russian is both the amount of a substance and an insect that flies in the house and can eat a fur coat. This insect does not like chemistry - naphthalene.
