I have been looking at some of your post and learned a lot. I am new to mathcad 15 and i have come across a problem with units. I have a program which gives me a matrix and that matrix has different units. how do i assign the different units within that program

It doesn't allow me to fix and I don't know how am I supposed to fix it.  (it is strain, so, it is unitless, or in/in is also fine)

Hi  My problem is to plot angular velocity as function of time. I get the message "this variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly" for the variable t - well - it's a variable defined in the function? -  Tips would be much appreciated.

And why is my second equation doesn't work but it worked in the simpler line below?   Thank you very much!

Hi,   I'm new to Mathcad, so i'm following some tutorials. However, I'm getting stuck with this basic one:   https://learningconnector.ptc.com/content/tut-162/plotting-data?isNew=false   I'm reproducing the exact same input in Mathcad 6.0, but it's not working for me. It's telling me that x needs to be a scalar or a matrix. See the attached screenshot.   Please note that it does work when I evaluate the x=1..10 function. However, that creates a messy vector in my sheet, which I would like to hide... Can I get the plot to work without evaluating this function?

Hello everyonean unusual and old mechanical problem. Unfortunately there is no animation.The parameters - however - are not the right ones to obtain oscillations.  After a lot of work - I can't even do the animation. I would be very happy if someone completed the job. Thank you very much.

I'm trying to create a unit label (done this thousands of times over 25 years) with, for example:       where MathCAD recognizes pA as a picoampere unit, but not fA as femtoamperes.... (gotta fix that, PTC)   Prime threw in a label distinction in the math menu tab.  However, applying the unit label does absolutely nothing, and fA remains unrecognized as a unit.  This sometimes works, and sometimes not... Anyone else have this problem?

I have a set of data (x and y coordinates) from excel (see top of attached file), and when excel didn't want to give me the function for the data, I had to use a website to get a working onw. I am now trying to work my way from the data to the function in Mathcad 15, but I cannot get expfit to work. The guess values is where it goes wrong (probably just confusing me). I have the working function and coefficients at the bottom of the attached file, everything else is trial and error. Can somebody help getting those coefficients from expfit? Thanks in advance!

hi,   i'm assuming this is a known issue, but i'm wondering what the status of this is. if you paste an image into matchad or mathcad prime, different things happen. prime seems much better at handling images, but i don't like prime. so i use classic mathcad. in classic mathcad, if you paste an image that is 8 inches wide, it looks ok. but if you save as pdf it looks terrible. so you have to paste in something much larger than 8 inches wide, then use the handles to shrink it down to 8 inches. if you save that as pdf it looks fine. however, in mathcad it looks terrible and blurry. you can barely see the image. in smath you can paste in an image very easily. if it's bigger than 8inches it easily and automatically is re-scaled to fit the page width. it also looks amazing. better than mathcad or prime. however, i don't care for smath. it would be great if classic mathcad could handle images much better than it currently does. what i do is create documentation where i place math symbol

I don't know if this has been noted before, but I managed (by accident) to suppress the display of a symbolic solve in M15 [Mathcad 15.0 (M030 [MC15_M030_20131216])]Does this work in other versions of Mathcad?Stuart

The solveblock for this mathcad sheet will not work and would appreciate if any one could tell me why. Many thanks. 

Hi. Iv been trying to solve this question using solve blocks for quite some time with no success. It would be great to receive some help if possible.

I'm trying to use on odesolve command in order to create variables allowing me to graph Time v height & acceleration v time of a parachutist falling from stratosphere but I can't figure out why the it can't solve. Is it the equations? or is there a certain order I have to insert the odesolve? Any guidance is appreciated thanks.

Hi I'm having some problems in Mathcad 15 using Given/Find to solve 4 equations with 4 variables, but I can't get the results. It says: This variable is undefined. The symbolic result returned is too large to display, but it can be used in subsequent calculations if assigned to a function or variable. It's about quater way down the worksheet.   Please help, I's so frustrated and confused. It has never been this dead-locked before.

Hi, I`m trying to get tangent stiffness matrix of 6 nodes triangular finite element. Beginning part of code contains symbolic calculation and very simple operations such as getting one element of vector or transpose are very very slow. So I can`t to continue.Thanks in advance for any advice. File is attached.

Hello,  I have a chaotic graph with the x-axis ranging from 0 to 200 increments. I would like to increase the increments of the x-axis to 20000 without that affecting the graph shape. 

Hi everyone.   I have a little problem with an interpollation data. When i start to use cspline the program give return error "The elements in this vector must be in ascending order."   Mathcad 14. P.S. Sorry for bad english.

In the attached file, the Maximise Function is used against an 5 x 1 Array and is manully repeated 5 times, using a different guess for each case.Trying to streamline the process, tried to do the five steps with a program but the program fails.It looks like the maximise function inside the Program is not accepting the Guess value assigned within the program and is picking up the a Global Value for the guess, outside of the program, different from the assign value inside the program.What would be the proper way to use Maximize within a Program>Thank youLaurent

Hi,   I am trying to model a moving fluid interface in an annular pipe for a varying cross-section. My model is based on a modified Poiseuille equation. If I use a constant cross-section, then MathCAD solves my linear ODE just fine and I get results as expected. If I consider a varying cross-section however, then my ODE becomes non-linear and I'm unclear on which format MathCAD requires to solve this.   All unknowns in my attached file are constants, except L(t).   I'd be very thankful for any help on how to format a non-linear ODE of this form within a solve block.   Regards, Alex
