I realize that there is a new advanced(?) plotting function in Prime but some of us are constrained to Express. In Prime 6 Express, define TT as a range variable for plotting 120 deg F,119 deg F . . 103 deg F. Plot TT vs TT. get Plot function against TT, get:
I would like to shift the values of the last part of a table. Is that possible?
What more constants will be good to have here?
Hi, I encountered an error when I tried to plot a graph including arguments (t and Δ(t)). The error says:This function has the form:f(f(Unitless)->Unitless)->Unitless, but must have the form:f(any1)->any2. I have attached the file. Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot.
I queried Mathcad Prime 3.0 for the number of cubic inches in a gallon and got 231. I wondered to myself if this was an exact conversion so I increased the displayed decimal points to 15 and realized it is not exact. I did some internet research to find where this weird number came from and found that it should be exactly 231 in^3. Is this a mistake in Mathcad or am I missing something?
Hello everyone, does anyone have an idea, how to push results calculated in CREO MDO to Mathcad, using the parameter transfer/engineering notebook functionality? I know, it is possible to transfer one value, but what, if the value change? E.g. an angle within a MDO Simulation or a resulatant force in a bearing in MDO. Best thing would be, to transfer the different results and name them as X1, X2, X3,... The workaround, to export the MDO results to Excel and import them into Mathcad is not the way I would like to use. Thank you for any help. Axel
Hello,Is there any possibility to plot a diagram formed by vectors representing complex numbers? (see attached file).I want to visualize the vectors in this file (e.g. in cartesian coordinates). Notice that V1 = V2 + V3, that means all three vectors form a triangle; and I want to visualize this triangle.I have to tell Mathcad that vector V3 does not start from the origin of the cartesian coordinates, but instead starts from the end of vector V2. Same thing for V4, V5 and V6.Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi, I am looking for a solution to my question, "can the coefficients be evaluated/shown as numbers in an equation?" example) a:= 3 b:=3 c:=7 2a (x^2) + 3b (x) - (a+b+c) = 0 can the obove be shown as: 6(x^2) + 9x - 13 = 0
Whenever I Return the value for the program I created, It gives me the error. Kindly help me out . Thanks in Advance
I'm attempting to deploy lmgrd and ptc_d on a linux (Centos 7) machine, and have provided my server's host id to PTC for a license. The host id in this case is the MAC address: 70-85-...redacted....the license file came to me with some parts missing, specifically __HOSTNAME__ and __PTCD_PATH__I have replaced __HOSTNAME__ with my server's correct name, and I have replaced __PTCD_PATH__ with a simple period (.) to indicate "current directory", and located all the files including the license all together in one place under /usr/local/mathcad.When I attempt to start the licence manager: ./lmgrd -c mathcad.lic it will not start, the error given from ptc_d is that the host id is incorrect. The license SERVER line has my correct MAC 70-85-...redacted.... but ptc_d is complaining it has "detected" a host id 06-00-00-00-00-00. None of the server's ethernet interfaces have a MAC address like this. I would be grateful for any assistance here!Precise error shown:
Hello, community! So far faced nonsymmetric matrix. Normally diagonalization of this kind matrices goes through transposed left and nontransposed right eigenvectors. With the command L=eigenvecs(A,"L") and R=eigenvecs(A,"R") we are supposed to get orthogonal eigen space. This functions do not provide orthogonality in some cases. But if restoring the eigenvectors by each eigenvalue, it is. Does anyone know if there is something special I'm missing about left-right eigenvectors commands?
question: In MathCad Prime 3.1, my first plot uses N-values. I want to overlay a second plot that uses M-values for visual comparison. I cannot enter the 2nd plot using its scale as Plotting Function wants to use 1st scale. How can I add two different scaled plots to the same plot image?
I have been looking at some of your post and learned a lot. I am new to mathcad 15 and i have come across a problem with units. I have a program which gives me a matrix and that matrix has different units. how do i assign the different units within that program
It doesn't allow me to fix and I don't know how am I supposed to fix it. (it is strain, so, it is unitless, or in/in is also fine)
Hi My problem is to plot angular velocity as function of time. I get the message "this variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly" for the variable t - well - it's a variable defined in the function? - Tips would be much appreciated.
And why is my second equation doesn't work but it worked in the simpler line below? Thank you very much!
Hi, I would like to know, what should I do to make the 3D graphics of Mathcad 15 identical to those of Prime? I attach the two files.
Hi, I'm new to Mathcad, so i'm following some tutorials. However, I'm getting stuck with this basic one: https://learningconnector.ptc.com/content/tut-162/plotting-data?isNew=false I'm reproducing the exact same input in Mathcad 6.0, but it's not working for me. It's telling me that x needs to be a scalar or a matrix. See the attached screenshot. Please note that it does work when I evaluate the x=1..10 function. However, that creates a messy vector in my sheet, which I would like to hide... Can I get the plot to work without evaluating this function?
Hello everyonean unusual and old mechanical problem. Unfortunately there is no animation. The parameters - however - are not the right ones to obtain oscillations. After a lot of work - I can't even do the animation. I would be very happy if someone completed the job. Thank you very much.
How to prepare the graph as per the attachment version mathcad prime 3.1 Regards, Robert
I'm trying to create a unit label (done this thousands of times over 25 years) with, for example: where MathCAD recognizes pA as a picoampere unit, but not fA as femtoamperes.... (gotta fix that, PTC) Prime threw in a label distinction in the math menu tab. However, applying the unit label does absolutely nothing, and fA remains unrecognized as a unit. This sometimes works, and sometimes not... Anyone else have this problem?
I have a set of data (x and y coordinates) from excel (see top of attached file), and when excel didn't want to give me the function for the data, I had to use a website to get a working onw. I am now trying to work my way from the data to the function in Mathcad 15, but I cannot get expfit to work. The guess values is where it goes wrong (probably just confusing me). I have the working function and coefficients at the bottom of the attached file, everything else is trial and error. Can somebody help getting those coefficients from expfit? Thanks in advance!
hi, i'm assuming this is a known issue, but i'm wondering what the status of this is. if you paste an image into matchad or mathcad prime, different things happen. prime seems much better at handling images, but i don't like prime. so i use classic mathcad. in classic mathcad, if you paste an image that is 8 inches wide, it looks ok. but if you save as pdf it looks terrible. so you have to paste in something much larger than 8 inches wide, then use the handles to shrink it down to 8 inches. if you save that as pdf it looks fine. however, in mathcad it looks terrible and blurry. you can barely see the image. in smath you can paste in an image very easily. if it's bigger than 8inches it easily and automatically is re-scaled to fit the page width. it also looks amazing. better than mathcad or prime. however, i don't care for smath. it would be great if classic mathcad could handle images much better than it currently does. what i do is create documentation where i place math symbol
I don't know if this has been noted before, but I managed (by accident) to suppress the display of a symbolic solve in M15 [Mathcad 15.0 (M030 [MC15_M030_20131216])]Does this work in other versions of Mathcad?Stuart
The solveblock for this mathcad sheet will not work and would appreciate if any one could tell me why. Many thanks.
