Mathcad

We are unable to load images - started with Prime 3.1 so I installed Prime 4.0 - still can't load image. I click Ctrl+4 and it opens the dialog to search for image file - select file click open and only thing in the file is the dialog box 'Browse for image' I tried .jpg & .gif images same result. Any help?

I am currently using IE11 and most often (like now, but not always !) when trying to access Communities from PTC Mathcad page I get the message “HTTP 500 Internal Server Error” / “This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying”. Have someone happened the same or have any idea why ? (I’m posting now within Chrome).   Best regards, Liv.

Hello,   Does Mathcad have any function to integrate an array without doing a polyfit? If you see attached, I have a 14 point array and would like to find the area under the curve. What would be the best and cleanest way to accomplish this? (Note: I had to attach a picture because it wasn't letting me attach a mathcad file for some reason)

Is there a way to read an mp3 file into Mathcad?   I don't mean a Mathcad Prime 3 file, but I do mean an audio mp3 file, like as in compressed audio.   I can convert it to wav or ascii with some other app and then read it, but I really want to bypass that step and just read the mp3 file in directly.   I'm using Mathcad11 & 14.   Thanks.

I use my uniform load as kip/ft, and try to calculate my moment using kip*in. But somehow ptc didn't give me a right answer. Can anyone tell me what should I do?

I have Mathcad Prime Express 3.1 installed on my computer, and I'm trying to download and install 4.0 - i.e. upgrading.I have downloaded a file 'pim_installmgr_mathcad.exe' and try to run it. It opens up, the PTC Installation Assistant runs up to 100%, Windows pops up to ask me to allow this program to make changes, I say yes - and then nothing. Nothing more happens. It just stops.I have Windows 10 Home 64-bit as my OS.I have tried running it as Administrator - same non-resuslt.Please help - I'm absolutely flummoxed.

Hello,   I write a complex model of a batch reactor. Main goal is to model a thermal runaway of a reaction (adiabtic reactor). In a further step I want to predict the kinetic parameters of the reaction, like k0_1,k0_2, Ea_1, Ea_2 and reaction enthalpie. Therefore I will write a least-square method with minimize or minerr. The unlinear regression needs several measured temperature curves an the temperature curve of the model. The regression part is not implemented yet. My first idea was to write an odesolve function, so that I can solve the DAE-system for different reactor volumes an initial guesses like mass and Temeprature (The measured curves, have different volumes, startmasses and temperatures). Therefore i write a function Startbed. Another part are variable component data, like density, heat capacities etc. This functions interpolate between different temperature steps. Also there ist an UV-Flash calculation. I need it to predict the mass in gas and liquid phase (p

Hi,   I am using MC Prime 3. I am trying to see if it is possible to interpret various points using indexes as per the attached.    Basically I have defined various matrixes and interpreted lines between them as a function of z. Then I have used solve blocks to find the z value when the two lines interpreted from my matrixes meet. However, as I am doing many iterations of the same thing I want to know if it is possible using indexes or if there is a better approach? I have never got into MC Programming but guess that might be an approach?   Thanks,   Andy.

I have a variable defined as the result of a function. Worked perfectly the first time. A few lines further down the page, I use the same variable but define it as the result of that same function, only with a different argument. Now it presents me with the mentioned error "This value must be a function".    

user installed new version of MathCAD 15-050 from SCCM Upon launch they receive Flexnet Licensing error  15,10. System error 10061 "winsock connection refused" I installed on an image and did not receive an error. Any solution?  

Situation: I'm calling a solve block (prime 4.0) multiple times for a variety of conditions.  Unfortunately, some of those calls don't converge, so I get no results.  I understand why it doesn't converge for some cases and that's not a big deal - if I can just get mathcad to move onto the next step.  So, what's a good approach for this?  I didn't have any luck using TRY since a failure to converge apparently isn't an error.     General question - so no examples attached.  But here's a simple hypothetical - solving for flow conditions along a pipe.  Each call would be at a different location along the pipe length.  If 10% don't converge I can still see the trend of parameters, so I'm happy to just ignore those failed cases.     Just looking for some ideas to try. Why does a 2 page Mathcad Prime worksheet create a 80 MB pdf document? I can get an entire book into 80 MB. Also when I zip it it shrinks down to 88 KB. What's going on here?

Dear friends,   This could be a little academic question 🙂   for optimization purposes, would it be possible to compute some precalculations inside a function only the first time it is called? As an example, the attached generalized interpolation function works fine, but to me it is a pity that the vector "vs" get recalculated anytime it is called.  To produce the plot, vs will be calculated hundred of times, all the times identical.  Let say that I "know" that vx and vy will remain the same.   I am perfectly aware that I could compute vs "outside" the function, making it a "global variable". But I would like to incapsulate this in the function itself.  In good old times 🙂 of FORTRAN programming, there was, I believe to remember, a trick based on a DATA statement that preloaded a variable at compile time.  At the first execution of a subroutine one could check if the value was the preloaded one, the subroutine knew it was being

I'm having some difficulty making a simple 2D plot.  Deleting all units permits this to be plotted, but I can't find the error when I do have units introduced.  I tried making a range variable, with no success.  I bet someone can take a glance at this and point out what I've done wrong pretty quickly.
