Hi Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technology Students and Professionals,Earthing basic calculations focused at the earthing/grounding rod.You may use it for studying earthing. Large industrial facilities too require proper earthing for safety and proper operation of protection devices. For your use and or your associates.
Hi Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technology Students and Professionals,Substation grounding/earthing has an example at the end of IEEE Std 80.This example demonstrates the design steps in the earthing mat/grid in the substation. There are software for this purpose which build on this standard. You may use it for studying earthing. The standard is available through your institution electronic library or college.Large industrial facilities too require proper earthing for safety and proper operation of protection devices. For your use and or your associates.
Hello,I'm new to MathCAD and may have missed something obvious, but is it possible to count particular values in a matrix? For example, counting how many times the number "18" occurs in a 1 x 5 matrix. Thanks,Adrian
Hi Physics students and physicist.Part 2 of 2. Prime 2 file on how to create signals.Use it and or pass it on to who may need it.You can request the Prime file.
Easy question, is there anyway to add watermarks to a mathcad prime 3.1 report (like...confidential, private, or draft)?
This Excel file helps in creating the load behavior and sizing the generator capacity and number of generators - optimally. This file lends in the power plant design. For your use and or others you may know.
Preliminary design on the major plant of a diesel electric station. This is a Prime 2 file. For your use and or others you may know.
I am somewhat new to Mathcad and I was wondering if this was possible to do.I basically want to create a vector with stored functions.See the attached mathcad v15 file with comments. Thanks in advance for your comments!
Preliminary design on the major plant of a hydroelectric station. The units were hard for me to reduce to common units, leave that to you.For your use and or others you may know. You may request the Prime 2.0 File.
Basic first lessons on creating signals in Mathcad Prime.Part 2 of 2. For your use and or others you may know. You may request the Prime 2.0 File. When I have the time I plan to continue on to the frequency response.Which may not be soon.
I would like to do some practice with Mathcad Prime on numerical methods or optimization.I had done some basic to a little advance exercises using Excel. This worksheet has several tabs. The exercises mostly came from a book titled Engineering with Excel by Ronald W Larsen. I have the Kindle (ebook) 4th edition. You may use this worksheet for your study or pass it to a student or person who may need it.
As long term user of Mathcad, Prime is like hell for me. Could you please explain how to change the range (limits) for the axis', add legend text to be displayed instead the x and y terms and remove this red frame...thanks
worksheet is attached here. Thanks in advance.
As per manual calculation delta = 1.75 deg
Hello, please see attached simple example created for Creo. Does anyone have similar for SolidWorks?thanks in advance
I am trying to plot log-log plots of some equations that produce data in SI units. While the form of the plots appears correct, the Y values are way off. The tick mark values also contain multipliers of 10 in some positions. Here is the plot. I would rather not send the file. A plot should be a plot. The plotted equation evaluated at 100 km is shown. Also, I cannot adjust the size of the unreadable font on the axis values. What goes? I am now transcribing all of my MatCAD work to MathLab because MathCAD as become so poor.
Dear Community I need help on how to convert data that are coming from a function "150" point into a vector of one column, My target is that after I finish the function I need to process this data by comparing them to a constant and divide these data based on the comparisonMy work is as following 1) I have a range called z, this range is then used in a function2) this function e(z) outputs are a range based on z 3) I then need to compare all the values that are in the range of the fn e(z) to a constant c4) for the values that are less than c; I need to report them as is 5) for all the values that are greater than c I need to report them as c+16) then I want to combine all the values again in the order starting from values less than c to values greater than c Please guide Thanks
Hi, I am trying to solve the eigenvectors of matrix k-lambda*m, similar to [vec, val] = eig(k,m) in matllab. However, there is no such built in function in Mathcad. I write a similar equation in solve block, but mathcad tends to return to the trivial solution. Is there a way to restrain mathcad from producing trivial solutions?Thank you guys!BestShawn

Hi, Is it possible to do in Mathcad Prime an interactive template with action buttons (or if is possible if someone can share a sample template) where there could be a large set of formulae connected one after the other for specific types of scenarios. I would only go and click these action buttons and the formulae I need will be the ones displayed,I want to know if I can insert like an "action button" and be directed to the formulae I need. Is this possible in Mathcad prime? thanks
I suggest to add the function ctrl+enter to split an expression in Prime 3.1 like it is the case in Mathcad 15.
I'm trying to make a Mathcad file that can perform some basic statics calculations for a number of different load cases at once. I can get the solve block to work fine with single values for all my inputs, but once I try to start using arrays to run multiple situations at once, I keep getting a "This value must be an integer" error on one of the equations under the Given header. Any ideas, or am I just doing this the wrong way?
Good day all,I developed a stress analysis sheet however at the end there are some general equations that I have to represent some forces. However the plots have the corrct shape yet the axis values are off. For example my y-axis boundary conditions are 0 and about -80, yet the graph plots 0 and -800. My horizontal axis should be labelled from around 5 to 6 with 0.1 increments, yet shows 0.4 to around 0.52 with 0.1 increments. Can someone take a look and see if they can spot the problem ?
I have a problem in mathcad I do this problem -(100ohms/50ohms)tan^-1= Now when I try to add a degree sign at the end it errors out. I have done this problem and know it works however when trying to do it again this happens. I noticed the only difference between the one that works (formula) and the one that doesn't there is a shaded out box before the degree sign (one that doesn't work) I have tried to delete it no go. Any suggestions?
I would like to create an automatic index and titles in Mathcad Prime 3.1.
