Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: Need to restore the Demo data. Currently in WC instance it's not showing any CAD documents and other data.Description: Hello Experts,We have some issue with the DEMO data which has been loaded during the installation.Somehow the data is not showing in the WC. I am following PTC's documentation, and have pretty much copied the exact BOM_RELEASE_RULE. The difference is only that we have not specified <objectContainerPath>. The rule loads correctly into our Promotion Notice rule set. We have other rules within the rule set (attribute rules) that all work correctly. However, the BOM release rule does not seem to trigger a conflict when a BOM component is obsolete. We use the object CAD/Dynamic Documents to associate the part 3D model to them. Can there be circular dependencies among rules in Windchill or Creo.Example: If rule R0: if A>5 THEN B=4 and rule R1: if B<5 THEN A=4 is an example of circular dependency. It implies that it can be hard to evaluate the order in which rules should be executed and, also, that we may have oscillating values and rule execution that never ends. The rules in Windchill are not SQL Procedures, but stored in SQL tables and exportable to various formats, for example, XML. We are starting to create configurable products and would like to handle the whole chain from EBOM to MBOM to Process Plan in Windchill before sending the MBOM and Process Plan to our ERP.Is here anyone who has implemented some form of automation for creating Process Plans for configurable products? It seems that you can filter the Process Plan with a Variant Specification, but for some reason I cannot use the same VarSpec that was used in generating the EBOM and MBOM variants. I need to create a new Variant Specification inside the Process Plan Structure browser to get some different type of Variant Specification that can be used to filter the Process Plan. Here are the different Variant Specification types as described in the Windchill Help Center:The top most type is created when you configure a configurable product and the second one is created when you create a new Variant Specification from Process Plan Structure browser.Also just filtering the Process Plan is not enoug

This would include help tutorial pages on how to do common business specific tasks, using business specific language. The idea of this is to reduce the amount of time it takes to bring new users up to speed, and to reduce the amount of time spent supporting users on tasks that they don't do very often. Hello,I would like to know if anybody tried to use Windchill with docker containers?I saw last year PTC event in Boston that R&D is thinking about it, but did not get any feedback yet.Today we are using a lot of VM for developers and tests systems.Painful part with VM is that if I want to be sure that all VM are up2date with OS patches, Oracle patches, Windchill content ... I need to ask all people to checkout the new VM every month.The idea will be to create docker containers, probably 8, like that :This will allow me to distribute OS update, Oracle update, new windchill content through Oracle datafiles update easily.People will just have to update their dependencies and the update will be invisible for them.Any idea, comment is welcomed.Thanks,Morgan

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS16We have a Windchill Clustered environment having 4 different nodes (Windows based servers) forming the cluster. We are experiencing an INTERMITTENT issue, wherein some of the users are complaining about not being able to view the information about the tasks assigned to them, Wherein the information is masked with text "Secured Information". We believe this is happening due to the reason that the task assigned to the user involves a document which is protected by some Security Labels because when we navigate to the document and check Access (Actions -> Edit Access Control) we observed that access is restricted by the Security Label. Now, we have double checked each of the agreements related to the document and observed that the concerned users are in the list of Authorised Participants (being part of a user group) for each agreement and the document (relevant Latest Version) exists as Authorised Objects for tho
