I am working on a new instance of composer, 6.5.  I went to export my Things to move to another instance and cant seem to get it to work like it used to.  I used to select my application tag, click export, and then it would download to my downloads folder.  Now it wants me to point it to a repository.  I can't find a whole lot of info on this, and I was hoping someone would cover the best way of exporting now that it seems to have changed.  Thanks for the help!

I just reinstalled my Creo 2 and my datum display filter is not working! there is nothing hidden in layers. Hi there,For example I have a project with 2 file members named "fileéè.txt" "fileàâç.txt"  using accented characters in their file names.Is there available some kind of  internal unique numeric id for these two file members ?The CLI console doesn't display well names with accented characters,  I see question marks ???? instead of the real characters, but the Java API is fine in this regard.Therefore I am thinking to match the "altered" file member names received from CLI with the correct names received by using the Java API,based on a common internal unique numeric id that these members might have.

Hi,When I save my Creo model in my local directory, it works fine. But when I tried to migrate to the Windchill workspace, it says that the parts I use already exist and that I would be overwriting them by saving again, does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I'm a MathCAD 15 user. Does MathCAD have logical indexing function? In other words I want to find the indices in a matrix where the values of the matrix are within some criteria. For instance I would like to find the row and column numbers in the matrix below that are between -3.8 < G(i,j) < 2.3? Sure I could write a small function to do this but if I were using Matlab A=G(G<2.3 & G>-3.8) would get me what I need.

Hi, Scott,I watched your concurrent design video. Love it. My team is used to Github for sharing Java code. This will be a very good analogy for the CAD model development. I am wondering if the same holds true for subassembly. If one team member is working on chassis subassembly and another team member is working on electrical systems (such as controllers, PDM and etc). The second team members will place the electrical systems on to the chassis. If the first team member updated the chassis, I assume the second team member can get the updated chassis subassembly in the same way. And if the original parts in the chassis where the controllers were placed on is gone, Creo will report error so the second team member can place the controller onto a new place on the chassis. Is this correct expectation? We are trying to divide the work among several team members. Thanks.Fang

Hello,I am doing a shock analysis introducing as input a response spectre of a sismic event, function of frequency and acceleratio Se(T) [g].The idealization of a chemical reactor with the heat exchanger welded above it, is a series of beam of different section.I have to insert a series of mass idealization, for the mass located in the axis of the beam there aren't problem.But I wont to intruduce a mass at a "X" distance from beam axis and I don't know how to join the mass to the beams.I tried by rigid link or weighted link but a message says that the indipendent side element is has several point collinear.Anyone know how to resolve this problem please?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I created a custom symbol for a flag note (flag_note.sym) and it is working fine for me but I want to be able to embed it inside the Drawing Notes on the drawing.  When I attempt to insert them using &sym(flag_note) the symbol shows up extremely small.  When using it outside of a note it shows up the correct size so I've been just putting them next to the drawing notes for the time being.  Is there a way to make the symbol have the same size font when inserted into the drawing notes?  Or is my method of inserting the symbol into the note incorrect?  The custom symbol I created is attached for reference.   Thanks, Joseph SeymourThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We have purchased and started using IMSpost and would like to change the load point when clicking on "Post a CL File" to IMS instead of Gpost. Hello,I have noticed a difference in the syle of texts between drawings opened in Creo Parametric and drawings opened in Creo View. Here below an example comparison:the first is opened in Parametric, the second in View. The fact is that as you see, apart from the color, the text style changes and the View one is less nice and above all phrases are larger making the text emerge from the title block boxes...It's a pity because View is very confortable for employees who don't have Parametric but need to print drawings.Anyone knows whether or not it is possible to make View follow the fonts of the native .drw and/or to change the default one in View?Versions:Parametric 2.0 M110View: Lite 3.0 M020 build 23thanksbye

In all of those I tried bring the Color column and assign a color from the list. Nothing happens: The cable sticks with the default colorTried to apply a material from the Appearance editor. I am new to the "fun" world of Family Table parts/ assemblies. I've got the general scheme down pat but I am confused about Renaming the "Generic" file and the associated files of the "Instances".My situation has the added wrinkle of using Windchill-based PRO/Intralink as my PDM.SITUATIONCurrent Filenames:Generic Filename = Widget_generic.asmInstance 1 Filename = Widget_inst1.asmInstance 2 Filename = Widget_inst2.asmI want to Rename those files as shown here:Generic Filename = Bracket_generic.asmInstance 1 Filename = Bracket_inst1.asmInstance 2 Filename = Bracket_inst2.asmFirst thing I did in my Renaming process was to Rename the Generic file in Windchill. Hi, everyone,Is there a way to find the value of lambda using the eigenvals function in Mathcad?What have I done wrong such that it cannot return to the numerical solution such as the polyroots results?For this simple question, the polyroots function is acceptable,but I assume using the eigenvals be more convenience when there are much bigger matrix that needs programming. BTW, is there any recommendations for the method to use, when say there is a N Degree of Freedom vibration system, that N is the input of a function, that returns to the eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Is the built in Eigenvals function convenient to use?Thank you!Shawn

For some reason we do not pay much attention to the attribute PTC Common name in Creo/Windchill. But, when I do a quick search in Windchill this is one of the attributes that is searched upon. Now the question, can I change these preferences and for example make the search for filename instead? Is this possible?
