I like to keep a Notpad window open when I'm working to keep all my Relations info handy (I'm lazy and fingers never leave the the Ctrl C or V keys) but it would be nice to be able to have my Relations read from that .txt file and that way the same relations could be read throughout multiple parts. Dear PTC Arbortext ExpertsWhen I tried to publish a dynamic document from my Arbortext content mannager the words  "ATTENTION! Data marked not to be published or not published due to filter. No publishing will take place." came up. All that I have done to this point is1. create a book using the template sample for doc book2. save it a dynamic document on the content manager.3. try to send it to publishIf anyone can help I would like to know what and when this filter or mark was set, and how i can remove it. The Editor does not give the option to edit the document map, and only displays straight XML.How do I get the document map to show up again?

Hi,we have users who do not have access to PDMLink, but needs some documents stored in it.Those documents are stored in PDM and there is an approval workflows where the documents is reviewed and released.After the release process, messages are sent out to all related people, who needs to view the file.However, there are colleagues who do not have access.For them I would like to store the released document on a certain file server and send them the link to the file server.Is there any smart way to send the document (= primary contents) to one or more file servers after successful release process AUTOMATICALLY?Every help would be fine.Kind regards.

Hey guys,I am a grad student that is brand new to mathcad.  I've tried looking at other solutions, but unfortunately, I just can not find what I am doing wrong.  I am looking at an example problem that was  done in class and am trying to recreate it (a pic is attached).  As far as I can tell, I have exactly the same program this far (my sheet is attached), but mine gives an error of "this variable is undefined." Hi, I am using arbortext 5.4 and want to search tags like comment, heading, table, etc in a document.I have used the Go to dialog box option to search the tag such as  heading, table and other all working fine. i can find the tags using the  Next and Previous button but for comment tag, this is not working well.

Hi all.I'm always annoyed by the generation of pdf files from arbortext editor 5.4.I begin to believe that compose a batch of pdf files is impossible unless you know to program in ACL.So, when I compose a pdf file, I can choose 2 options:Use of distiller set to off and I generate my pdf file with the standard.pdfcf fileUse of distiller set to on and I generate my pdf with the PS printer wich is Adobe pdf.I don't understand why my generated pdf files are always in 216 x 279 mm.I want them in A4.Whatever the setting of the useditiller option, I always have 216 x 279 mm files.The comic part of the history is:1) It's impossible to generate pdf files by batch instead of one by one2) I've always 216 x 279 mm pdf files3) I must gather them in one pdf files (publication of amount XML files)4) I must create all the bookmarks manually and one by one5) When I did all these steps, if the content of one of my XML file has changed, I must incorporate it in the pdf publication and I have to resize th

I have created a custom content pipeline for htmlfile.ccf, i have added a filter in that. i have also added the corresponding .ent for the custom filter which call the filter class implemented in java. The new filter/content pipeline is working fine in Arbortext editor but not in Arbortext Publishing Engine. I really need to solve this problem. I hope someone here will be able to answer my question.

Can anyone tell me how difficult is it to allow access to Windchill 10.1 for users on another domain?We now have a parent company with users on other domains that we need to allow access to Windchill.We are on a global network, and we have multiple domains for our different companies. Our ADs are on different domains for each company so I am unable to add users from other domains that need access.Our current users can access windchill from any of the domains, but I cannot add users from the other domains. I can however add users from the other domains into security groups in our current AD, but I cannot add them as users to windchill.Is it possible to give access ti users from another domain?Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi everybody,I need to set up a Windchill PDMLink test system. So I´m trying to install windchill on a local machine (don´t want to touch the prod server ).As manual serves this http://ark-plm.com/monolithic-installation-windchill-pdmlink-10-2-windows-server-2012/When using the PTC sollution installer, I´m getting a problem: "Connection with HTTP-port not possible" (not sure about the correct translation - message is in german). I've been able to do this under actions->new->new graphic information element. However, my purpose is to use this image as a decal in Creo, and even though I can locate the file in Windchilll cabinets it does not show up as a decal. I can get the decal to work when I browse for it on my local computer, but the image disappears every time I close the program. That's why I'd like to pull it into Windchill. Is there a better way to set up decals to be permanent across sessions?

Hi,In this case,we would like to get the customer behavior,like add,modify,delete ,any configurations in the runtime.We try to use the service-GetLogEntries  in Configuration Log,but it just log all the message that ThingWorx generates in regards to any create, modify, and delete function performed in the ThingWorx Platform.Is there any way to solve this problem?

To community:The attached worksheet shows two programs.The one on the left shows one way of repeating a calculation that works and accomplishes what it is supposed to do.The one on the right is an attempt to0 do the same by iterating the calculations but only goes into a recursive mode.Would like help in the proper programming procedure.Thanks for any help

Hi I am working on a machined casting model with detail drawing. I would like to know if I can create a dimension line ( In annotation, create Dimension), the dimension line of cylinder will be used as to attach datum symbol ( the certer axis of the cylinder), however the cylinder is NOT machined, so I would like to del dimension data, only shown witness line and dimension line, NOT data. I try several times and search all community can not find any similar situation. could you please help me.up to now I do NOT want to use creating new customized symbol solution. Hello, I need help with settings Mathcad Prime 3.1. How I can improve visibility grid of the worksheet?I can change the background color of the worksheet?

We are just getting started using a Workgroup Manager and our first CAD tool is NX.  During the installation/configuration of the WGM client, we registered our Windchill server.  The url to our Windchill installation is something like https://www.myCompany.com/Windchill. The installer took the www.myCompany.com and put it in the "Server Name" field.  This didn't work because this is actually our reverse-proxy name.  We had to add the real server name in the Workgroup Manager: myServer.domain.net.  Since the server is really behind a firewall, we don't want every engineer on the project to have the name of the server.  Can we do something so that the WGM uses the www.myCompany.com reference?

I am trying to install Creo 3.0 in E:\Program Files\PTC, but it keeps defaulting to my C:\ drive. The only time I can see it prompting for a install location is here:No matter what I put in the "Installation path for all applications" box, it ALWAYS installs in C:\Program Files\PTC (after trying three times now). Any way to either reinstall to the proper location, or perhaps move the existing install without manually redirecting all the shortcut paths and registry entries?Maybe related or not, but if I try to just delete the whole PTC folder, there are a few lingering files that cannot be deleted because they are in use by the MSI service.Unfortunately every time I try to contact support on this, it says I do not have access to those privileges and redirects me to this forum, which seems to not really fit my problem. I have a few basic (I think) questions - A part on which I am working requires a certain area to be left with an as-machined finish while the rest is brushed. On the detail drawing I am trying to add a dashed line parallel to the part to indicate the as-machined region. However:While I can sketch a line on the drawing, I cannot find a way to add constraints to make the sketched line parallel to the part. Furthermore, when I try to dimension from the part to the line, the dimensions are driven. Thus there is no direct way to control the length of the line. Even if I get it close to the right length by dragging the ends of the line around, the dimension displays the exact value for the line length, not the exact value I want. It will not let me override the dimension to display the value I want. I would also like a way to dimension from the part to the line to lock it in the right position with respect to the view, but then hide the dimension so that it does not show up on the drawing. A
