Hello...All I'm trying to do is plot a plaine, old cylinder in MC 15 in 3D. There is nothing about it, and what I have found anywhere, including PTC is not explained, discussed or elaborated upon.Can SOMEONE tell me how in the world to plot a 3D cylinder in Mathcad 15 please.Thank you

I am using Mathcad Express Prime 3.0 however some of my calculation blocks are greyed out and are not evaluating. This happened after I changed some variable names. Does anyone have a solution As nobody else uses Mathcad in my office?

Hi,I currently use a scripted function that redefines the earlier variable if it was undefined because of any reason. Please have a look at the attached file, and while opening the file, make sure you say "No" in the dialogue box that prompts you to disable the macros.While this function works well for single line variables as is evident, but I can't use it in a variable that has more than one lines. Is there a way to solve this problem?ThanksOmkarPS: I found the redefining function somewhere in the forums.

I'm trying to create a batch file to export an .xml to a .html file.In Arbortext Editor 6.0 M100 there's a feature that allows you to export a file to .htmFile->Save as HTMLIn a batch file I simply used:"editor.exe" -c "FileSaveAsHTML" "file.xml"It essentially opens the xml file and a dialog appears to save as an html file.Is there a way to have this command in silent mode that allows the file to save?Using the argument "-b" doesn't allow overwrites, which I think the dialog is messing up.Is there another way to go about doing this? Perhaps a macro would be used instead?Any suggestions are welcomed.

Want to know if anyone knows how to have the link that emailadvance.js sends in the body of the email to point back to the actual URL: location that the email was sent from.In other words if I have an email rule that sends an email to someone from the staging server, I want the link to point back to the staging server not the production. It appears this is a hard coded process from the parameters passed in to the script. This causes issues when testing and the test causes the trigger to fire it sends and email pointing to production instead of test. I know it can be done some way because if I use a link from the Issue number, ie. User id, on the staging side it sends the link pointing to the staging server not production

I am plotting the velocity in a line verse the diameter of the line. I have a vector of temperatures and pressures. I am wondering if it is possible to automatically add more plot lines to a 2D plot if I add another entry in the temperature and pressure vectors. The velocity is currently a function of the mass flow, diameter, temperature and pressure.

Hi guys,I may be reaching back to another release of Windchill, but shouldn't we be able to set the "Number" to the same thing as the "File Name" when doing a rename? Is that a Windchill preference? If so, can we set it for all team members, or does each team member have to change their own?Thanks,Josh

HiI have revently starting using Mathcad and am a bit novice in it. I have a simple query regarding precision. Have a look at the image:Apparently beta being of the order of 10e-4 is rounded to zero and hence the calculation gives wrong result. Can someone please help me understand where I can make Mathcad calculate in larger precision but display in 3 decimals? Just like excel!ThanksOmkar

I am trying to hide the datum planes in my model and keep them viewable in my drawing. In Wildfire 4 I was able to hide them by layer in the model and they still showed up in my drawing. Now, in Wildfire 5, when I hide the layer in the model, it also hides them in the drawing. I have these two sets of data one a vector being the length of particles(L),and the other a vector of the number of particles of a particular length(N). I can plot N versus L alright but the problem is the points in L are not equally spaced, therefore the N (Vs.)L plot is not exactly a histogram. My question is how to convert these two sets of data into a histogram?making a single vector out of L and N ( a vector of length where each particular Li is repeated Ni times) is out of question since the elements in N are in the order of millions and the produced vector will be bigger than what mathcad can handle.

Good Day All,--- Analysis that works----I have a mount sub assembly (just 3 components) in which I'm able to run a Hyperelasticity analysis with out any issues.This assembly contains one part with Hyperelastic material properties and 2 parts with non-Hyperelastic properties. The assembly also includes the following bonded, contact constraints and ground springs.---Analyis with Problem Not Solved---When trying to set-up a Static analysis on a higher level assembly with the same mount sub assembly included, I'm not allowed to select Hperelasticity in the Static Analysis Definition dialog box. This level of the assembly includes additional components, mechanica Fastener definitions, ground springs, multiple force definitons and displacement constraints, and additonal non Hyperelastic materials and some surface regions.So my question is What would prevent you from selecting Hyperelasticity in the Static Analysis dialog box?Thanks for any help you can send my way,Don AndersonThis thread is

Hey Gurus',I have created a part wizard having bought-out / inhouse , plate thickness, customer type, plate series as the attributes.Now on selection of the above attributes, it should auto generate the partnumber with the last 5 digit as the running sequence.for example, the attribute selection is as follows:in-house (2), 5mm (50, international (3), 234, running sequence (6789)so it should generate the partnumber as 2532346789.Any ideas?

Received this question from an FTC team that created their lift sub-assembly from all custom designed parts...When they tried to then include the lift onto the robot, it turned out that the lift is much-much bigger in size than the robot... so somewhere we messed up the dimensions/scales...What can we do now? Can we re-scale the lift? so we do not have to redraw every part?I how can I make sure that the dimension/units for the tetrix parts are the same than the ones I use for the custom parts?The image shows a tetrix flat bar next to the bottom of our lift...

Hello,I did a mass properties calculation with assigned material. When I was finished I removed the material assiged but the density under "Mass Properties" was still filled in. I need to remove all material data on my part before I can check it in do to company standards. However, I cannot enter the value 0 into the density dialog box.If anyone can help me with this problem I would be very grateful./Emma

In previous release we were able to change the Letter of a dimension to bold (filled) that had a tolerance without changing the tolerance also.{0:@O}{1:L}{2: # .02}Selecting the "L" to change the style to filled results in the entire line changing to "filled". Hello, I have a drawing format to which I want to add a table. I want the new table (a single cell) to align exactly with an existing table. How can I establish the precise coordinates of the existing table? I can click and drag and increase the zoom, then click and drag again, etc. but that is at best time-consuming and tricky. If I were making a new format, I might place all the tables relative to an absolute coordinate system, but whoever created this one didn't do so. I therefore need to measure where the table is and replicate that position.   WF4, m220   Am I the only one to wonder whether the fact that Pro/Detail has no 'Sub-Space' of its own on this website is down to PTC embarrassment at how awful it is? I'm attempting to take an igs file and build a mold around it in Creo 1.0, but when I use the cutout tool it doesn't actually remove any material to the other part in the assembly. I can see the outline of the first part outlined afterwards and the software says "Cut out has been created successfully." But when I do a volume check the second part hasn't lost material - and if I cut away part of that piece the cutout doesn't go with it.
