Hello All,I been using Creo Manikin to simulate vision in and around an operator environment, such as looking out the window of a truck to see what part of the surroundings are obscured by parts of the vehicle. I would really like to be able to use the manikin vision window to "see" what is in the mirrors that are placed both inside and outside of the vehicle. With just the basic rendering package that comes with Creo, I have tried to apply a 100% reflection to the mirror's surface and render the manikin vision window, but so far all I can get for output is a solid dark image. Rendering normally, outside the manikin vision window, seems to work, but this is not from the manikin's viewpoint. Anyone have any experience with this, or suggestions? Thanks in advance... (btw: I did review the mirror analysis presentation that was on the PTC site, which shows the area on the ground covered by the mirror, but while quite helpful is not exactly what I am looking for...)

Hi I want to use trail files for converting files. Right now every time I issue a trail command which opens the file dialog it starts up always inside /users/<name of user>/documents   Is there a way to avoid and have creo use the directory form which it was run from, or maybe even specify the directory from where file open will start. When I start creo using the command line, its working directory is the local directory from which the executable was called but the file open command always opens up inside /users/<name of user>/documents which makes it impossible to choose local files.   Thanks in advance DimiThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Has anyone noticed the Reorient button is missing from Creo Parametric 2.0 (m090)?If you use the search area, the search tells you it is not located on the ribbon menu. Using Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 M210   Is there a way to make a draft like shown on picture ?   If i use front plane as draft hinge for splitting. When you want to duplicate a checked out CAD Document you can choose between "Export from WSP" in Windchill and "Save As" in the CAD Tools (Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks, NX). Is there any significant difference between those options?

Hi All, I am new to Mathcad and i am trying to design a framework for absorber modelling. With a simple function i am able to solve the mass and energy balance for the absorber on a vertical slice of the packing with 3 horizontal sections.But when i try to do the same for the vertical section. Is there a trick to having more than one Creo View session open at once. Every time we are view an assembly and want to look at a drawing quickly, we have to start a new session...then go back to the assembly after we view the drawing. PAIN!!!!!

My goal is to delete the DXF and DWG export log files that get created. If anyone knows of a setting to prevent them from even being created, that would be appreciated. However, I don't think there is. So I'm trying to do it using a mapkey. The location of the log files is the working directory. If I use the full path in the mapkey, it works. Hi,I'm working on Windchill 10.1 M030 PDM Essentials instance.My requirement is I have Multiple Folder structure into my Folders in the product and I want my viewer group to see only particular folder and sub folders that are available from the entire list. (refere my attachment where you would be able to see 10 Folders and I want my people in the user group to see only some 2 folders).What I had been trying to do is: > I tried creating a new policy rule for Folders in the specific product context and set it to Deny for the Viewer group - But after doing so even if I allot Read permission in the security access of the specific by doing "Right Click - Manage Security" for the specific group/a user - It didn't work.Can someone suggest me what is the best way to do this?I'm ready for doing a screen share at a convenient time too..regards,Amarkarthi.

Hi,I am evaluationg creao using the 30 day trial version. I used the web installer but after installation it does not start.After pressing the program icon I get a "The program cant start because utfstrmt.dll is missing". Hello again community,I have another question regarding the MathCad program. This time it is regarding the bounding of multiple functions of the same variable. Please see the attached spreadsheet.I have notated on the side what the bounds of each function are for when it is true. I can see that the functions look to be in the right direction for the problem. I would however, like a neat way to bound each function on the graph so that TL is just on the negative side and TR is only on the right side of zero. I'm not sure if this is possible in the given format.Any help is appreciated.

I have found posts on the customization of the initial name of the PR, but I'm looking for something different.I'd like to edit the Promotion Request name in a Workflow expression, I'd like to add the value of a workflow variable to the Promotion Request name; so in the users task list the task Subject tells them the variable name.Can anyone point me to a post on this, or have a solution to share?Thanks!Vaughn (WC10.1 M040)
