Hi Folksjust tried doing the walkthrough for the Mould cavity and came up with this problem 'Cannot merge a packaged component. select again'. now the parts have been made up in a mould form ie. base (mould1A), part and top (mould2A) but it wont let me form the cavity. Now it must be something pretty obvious but I can't figure it out.can anyone please help?Jeremy

Trying to import an .xmct template into Mathcad Prime 3 I got stuck because the xmcd button is grayed out.It seems that I need a copy of Mathcad 15 to access that functionality. Is there a way I can convert that template without the need of installing the old program version?Thank you for your suggestions.Chris

Awaiting PTC to identify my issue and thought I would post to community for anyone experiencing same issue.Environment:WC 9.1.M060Creo Elements/Pro 5.0.M180Model Check turned on for Save.Model Check GateKeeper configured but not turned on.For all sense and purpose to make this issue repeatable, all settings are OOTB.Issue:1. Add to Local Workspace an assembly and open in Creo Elements/Pro>Save - message states "not saved as model not changed, expected results2. Do another Save - Conflict window appears asking for you to set check out, read only or continue on all the components (nothing was modified).I have looked at and tested several configurations that affect save operations to no avail. When I disable MC I do not get behavior. In the attached MathCAD 14 worksheet I am attempting to solve for the embedment length for multiple sets of variables ( concrete dimensions a,b,ma,mb) using the Given command/block. Is it possible to pass multiple groups of variables in these three equations and solve for the single variable E using the Given block? For each set of variables only one equation is solvable for E while the other two will not be solveable. The solvable equation changes as the dimensions changes. If the equation is not solvable, is it possible to for MathCAD to return a zero or unsolveable response instead of turning red?

I am very new to Creo 2.0 and I am having trouble importing a drawing from Autocad that includes Blocks. When I import a .dxf into Creo all the blocks are individual lines. Is there a certain method that should be used when importing different formats from other drawing software, i.e. Solid Edge, Autocad, etc., into Creo 2.0 in order to maintain all the attributes as they were in the original software used to create the drawing?

Whenever i convert the creo drawing into Autocad the text style and dimensions style changes and notes which i have writtne in drawing they also change and some times they go out from the template boundry , then i have to manually change those all things which is really annoying and lot of waste of time Is their any way so that when i convert DRW into DWG their shouldn't be any change in dim style or text style. and one more thing what is the standard procedure to convert the DRW into DWG?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I saved an assembly in WF4 as a .PVZ and opened it up in Creo View 2. I was just beginning to think 'This is pretty good! It understands Simplified Reps.', when I noticed that all the Geometric Tolerances show up in Creo View 2. There are yellow splodges all over my assembly. This despite the fact that they are not visible on the screen in Pro/E. My immediate reaction was to go into Pro/E and turn off 3D annotations, using the icon, and save it again. Sadly, there was no change. The GTols still showed in Creo View 2. I downloaded the free version of Creo Modelling Direct in January 2013 with the objective of producing a few simple models of steam engines aimed at encouraging and inspiring young people to consider engineering as a career. The program worked fine and I started a couple of models, however my work commitments preveneted me using Creo since March. With the coming new year I decided to try and make time to get a few models prepared and have been unable to start Creo on my machine. Hi everybody. I am part of my school's RWDC team, and am having trouble fully opening the RWDC parts files on Creo Simulate 2.0. When I open the assembly of the model, it gives me a message that says, "unable to get required Creo simulate license. Please contact your sales representitive."Here is a screenshot of the problem.Do I really need to contact a sales rep? Or can I fix this by myself ? Thanks.

Hello and a happy New Year to you. I have a few users who have difficulty with red and green, so they use a special syscol.scl file, tailored to their needs. I have called it syscolredgreen, so we know which is which. We are still using WF4. I know the colours have all changed in Creo Parametric 2, so has anyone managed to produce an equivalent file? I am working towards a change to CP2 later this year, so I want to get all my ducks in a row in readiness. Hello, I have a strange problem with Pro/E WF4 and Ilink 3.4: It used to be that, when I wanted to change the Intralink workspace my Pro/E session was linked to, I clicked 'Tools', 'Server Manager' and double-clicked the required workspace in the window that popped up. Today, when I click on 'Tools', 'Server Manager', no window pops up. I have to close Pro/E and re-launch it from the Intralink menu. That way, I can launch Pro/ in whichever workspace I like.   I'm not certain whether this is a Pro/E problem or an Intralink problem. I'll maybe post it in the Windchill community as well, just to make sure.   Any suggestions? I have already tried a re-boot. and yes, we will move to Creo P2/PDMLink 10 at some time in the future. Hi, I'm trying to model the internal surface of the mouse http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/53769i14FB8210D5BCAA52/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1, I have this model which I've solidified because the rest feels solid:http://imgur.com/5nZxPh7 but I want to extrude the top surface down and cut out the material between to make the inner surface. Hi all,we have two assembly models A & B. One sub assembly ( called as C) is placed in both A & B.Drawing of assembly 'A' contains muiltple sheets.
