I recently solved a problem I had in J-Link that could be of interest to others.I wanted to use a library as part of my J-Link program. The library is org.netbeans.swing.outline . My program uses somewhere deep down the class ETable, which has an initialization that uses a resourcebundle for localization. Specifically it sets up a field for a sting that directly loads a resource Bundle.properties.private String selectVisibleColumnsLabel = java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundle("org/netbeans/swing/etable/Bundle").getString("LBL_SelectVisibleColumns"); At first this gave me an error,java.util.MissingResourceExceptionbecause it could not find the resource. The library itself loaded fine, as I have been repackaging my jar to include all libraries. (Not the best practice, but easier than adding many libraries to the protk.dat) Using Creo 8.0.8.0 and Java 11.

Hi folks, I just have a simple question in hand, why should we have a middleware in place when Windchill is being integrated with a downstream system. I know that it has the below advantages, are there any other points that speaks to the merit of using a middleware. i) System configurations does not need any update between different Windchill servers as the source and target system mapping can be done with a middleware.ii) The formatting and translation of the transferred content can be done and maintained in middleware. Any inputs is appreciated. TIA.

Hi Community! As per https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS416999 in order to be able to modify the sheetmetal parts' thickness easily after creating them, we choose to "Unlink from Part" by default (in our start part). But it seems it solved one problem while created another: The problem is that the SMT_THICKNESS parameter is not updated after altering the model thickness. Therefore extracting the material thickness is not possible now 😕Is there another parameter we can use in order to display the thickness? Thanks in advance!-Tibor

Hello, community. I’m experiencing an issue while transferring a KepserverEx 5.3 license on an offline computer. When I try to 'Transfer a Product Activation' using the License Utility, I receive the following error: 'Virtual Machine Detected: Transfers Disabled.'  Has anyone encountered this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!  

i'm completely new to this but i have connected a machine to kepware and i read its PLC data. Now i want to get this through Thingworx , any guidance on how to do this ? thanks 

This request is more fully explained in the attached file. The request is for a way to take two single column vectors or matrices that are effectively two columns of a table when augmented (i.e., namely matrix A and matrix B). The first matrix "A" has several rows that have repeated values. A function has been run to create a new matrix "C" that has removed the duplicate rows.Please help to write a function that will create matrix "D" such that "D" contains the minimum values from the second matrix "B" pertaining to rows that had the same value in matrix A. Thus, matrix D ensures that removal of duplicate rows from A does not lose the minimum associated values in "B". I think the details in the attached Mathcad Prime 10 file will help clarify this request.   

Creo 10 C++ OTK  Situation is like that: I want to give the enduser possibility of select csys and highlight specific points which are refering to that csys. I can see all points attached to given csys thrugh the reference virewer. How can I achive this via API?In other words - user cliks cysy and some points (of curve) becomes highlighted 🙂 Many thanks!

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Need same date in all released drawings whenever it gets released through promotion request.Description: As of now, we are getting last modified date in Creo drawing which is through Windchill attribute set in drawing template. Problem here is, a drawing which is last modified on 5th October 2024 is getting released on 10th November 2024. After changing the state from In work to Released, it prints the date 05th October 2024 in creo drawing.Ideally shopfloow guys will be confused with the date, as it is released today and date it is showing is older one.So to overcome this, is there a way to show released date or Promotion request completion date in Creo Drawing through any attribute mapping. If yes, then what and where should i get that attribute and how can i push inside Creo file?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Create an Actions on the folder browser page, but the action must only be visible when any objects are selected in the folder contents table using the checkbox.Description: I don't understand how to retrieve the objects which are selected on the folder contents page before even clicking any action because I only want the action to be visible when an object is selected using the checkbox, else I don't want it to be visible.

Hi, we use Thingworx 9.5.1 With SSO login and that works good , all parameters for reverse proxy we implemented like in the CS : CS327279 - "Incoming SAML message is invalid" "Endpoint with message binding <Binding> and URL <URL> wasn't found in local metadata" is logged in the SecurityLog when authenticating to ThingWorx Platform with Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled    Now we upgraded in our DTA to 9.6.1 , with LDAP all works fine, when we test with SSO then the application returns the HOME URL in HTTP://Thingworx/Runtime/index.html?mashup=MSU.Mainmashup=MSU.Main and lands in a Loop to go to a https url,  Where 9.5.1 returns the URL Relative like this  //Thingworx/Runtime/index.html?mashup=MSU.Main. Does anyone has an idea?

Which is best device as AR goggles to use for Vuforia Studio in future ?We have Hololens2 and Magic Leap2.Hololens2 can be use until 2027 as you know. I think Goggles with enough performance for check weld point to body in white is Magic Leap 2 or Apple Vision Pro . We have plan for introduce new AR goggles at 2nd Quarter 2025. What goggles are more likely to be compatible with Studio?Vuforia Studio & View is very good solution for us.I want to use Vuforia Studio also AR goggles.

Hi, I am having a strange issue here that I don't know how to investigate, I created thingshape then a template that has this thingshape, then I created 7 things driven from this template.inside the thingshape i have a subscription that calls a service within the same thing shape, lets call it service 1 , this service 1 do some calculation and then calls service 2 and service 3 ,the issue is: service 1 and 2 works fine on all the 7 things with no issues, but service it is rarely works for all the 7 things, most of the time works for one or two things only,I tried to check the script log errors but nothing there, and when i run this service manually inside the thing it works fine with no issues.I don't know what should i share else but the issue is not related to whatever the code written in any of the services (from my testing).thanks

I want to highlight autocomplete widget border colour based on few conditions. ex: if(cond==true) Output=""; else Output="ui-autocomplete-input"; css code: .ui-autocomplete-input { border: 1px solid red !important; }   This css code showing border in red for both true and false conditions.  What is the correct code??      

I know this is a future question but perhaps a PTC PLM can chime in. I see that Cadence released version 24.1 last year. I was curious if Creo View Adapters 12 will support this version. The 11.1 version only supports up to 23.1. 

Hello Team, I am facing drawing layer issue in my drawing. i have hidden all the layers and isolate drawing display layers but when i try to save status, doesn't allow me and asking to check out the loverlevel assembly which is released. the lower-level components are released, and layers are not hidden for axis.can we control those layers in Creo drawing layers?

When exporting to a word document I am using the item.description MergeField to identify where I want to the description to be placed in my template. For some reason, all my merge fields match the formatting in my word document, except for item.description. Is there a way I can modify the formatting for this within my word template? Specifically, I want the text bolded, and center aligned, but it comes unbolded and left aligned every time I export. I have already tried switching the formatting from \* MERGEFORMAT to \* CHARFORMAT to no avail.

I have a customer requirement document that has the following format:Heading 1[Some description]Heading 2[Some description]Heading 3[Some description][requirementId-101] text description for requirement[requirementId-102] text description for requirement So when I import the document, I end up getting Heading 3 in its own requirement, which in this case it includes the description and the 2 requirements (Customer specification sometimes even has 10 of these requirements). So my question is, how can I import each [requirementId-XXX] into its own requirement in the tracker. Having too many requirements from the customer into a single requirement in Codebeamer is making it difficult to accurately track traceability. The customer document is in Word and won't be sending us any intermediate files btw. And a side question... can the requirements not have a Summary?

I  have  Thingworx Kepawre Server 6 and i want to read PLC data. First thing i added a channel in kepware (device information, communication protocol: Ethernet TCP/IP , S7 300..) then added tags. When i launch OPC Quick Client, i seed "bad" in Qaulity column. When i ping the PLC ip it responds. What is the thing i'm missing here ?  Thanks 

Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to show annotations (such as dimensions) in an AR experience made with Vuforia Studio. For example, I save a PVZ file from creo view and import said PVZ file into the experience and, along with the model, the dimensions related to that pvz are shown too.Thanks in advance
