Hi,I have a situation where I need to express a number to 8 decimal places in a drawing. I have created a parameter in the model as a string due to the number of digits in the raw number.Unfortunately when attempting in the standard approach in the drawing [.8] does not work after the &parameter, is there another syntax I need to use with this not being a real number?The number is: 0.00654322641148869I cannot enter the parameter as a real number due to the precision limitation on these values, hence using string.Hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction.

ok.  something you just need to reach out to the power users.   I'm working in Prime 8 and have a simple spread sheet.  not knowing all the available size if I enter a number, I should get the nearest available number to pull data.    This should be simple right.

We have a requirement to extract the part structure from a PVZ file. While we are currently able to display it using the ThingView widget, the goal is to extract the part structure from the PVZ file and present it in a tree grid.Additionally, upon selecting a part in the grid, the corresponding part should be highlighted in the 3D view. I would like to understand:Is this functionality achievable in ThingWorx?Is there a way to read the PVZ file and extract its structure?Can this be accomplished using any existing extensions or OOTB (Out-Of-The-Box) functions, or will we need to develop custom extensions? Thanks in advance!

I was following Getting Started with Creo Parametric Toolkit but something failed and I don´t know how to solve it.I tried to open make_install.sln through Visual Studio 2022 and build the solution, but an error occurred.It says "Cannot open include file: 'stdio.h'". I searched info about that bug and tried many things like uninstall VS, install other libraries. However, nothing works.I also built "Hello World" in VS to check if "stdio.h" is avalaible, and nothing failed.I will really appreciate if someone could help me.Thanks!

Hi.I have now managed to store the data selected in the graph in a list. By extracting the selectedItems from the list, the following INFOTABLE was obtained.I would like to create a function that uses these selectedItems as input.In this case, how do you create a data shape to be applied to the input InfoTable?I tried creating a data shape like this but it didn't work...  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0HI, the question came up, if there are any downsides, when i define my assembly-relations with driven-dimensions (eg. 3D-Annotations) instead of the dimensions of the component (driving dimensions).

I'm trying to install PTC Modeler 8.5 in standalone mode on a Windows 11 PC. The installation fails. This also occurs for a server-only installation. Client installation works ok. The installation is run 'As Admin'.The log file error appears to be something to do with the operation ARTAddOMSUser.I've attached a log file for an example server installation that shows the error.Can you shed any light on this error and how it could be resolved.Thanks.

Defects are normally either standalone items or are downstream references from test runs where a test run has been executed and a defect has occurred during that execution.  The traceability browser reflects these in reverse, as the defect appears upstream from the test run which is logically incorrect. We believe this error should be corrected; how are other life science companies addressing this?

I just started playing with WWGM and MathCAD. I am seeing if this can help us with our conversion to Prime. First question is why PTC decided to do this in the WWGM at all? Why not follow Creo with embedded browser? Second is more troubling and tech support did not have a good answer. I have thousands of files. The import to workspace does not appear to show MathCAD files. I've done this with Solidworks data and it worked great. Am I missing something? The answer I got back was that it doesn't support MathCAD and I would need to use a 3rd party loader or write my own.  This cannot be true can it? Anyone have experience on this before? 

I (was) using Windchill PDMLink Release 10.2 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS28General question, and yes we know that version 10.2 is no longer supported. We just recently upgraded. My question is, for any of the upgrade steps from 10.2 to 11.x, then to 12.x, then to 13.x, is it required that the CAD publisher queues be emptied first? Or if we have jobs in those queues that we are holding on to for purposes of trying to fix them, will the contents of the publisher queues be brought forward into the new version so that they are not lost? We are being requested to provide an estimated clamp tonnage from our mold sampling department. Has anyone used Creo Tool Design to calculate clamp tonnage? Is there a feature for this? I  know Creo understands molding surfaces versus molding surfaces, parting line, and the molding part has the material assigned to it. Therefore, It would be nice for Creo to provide the user a estimate as  to how many ton (force) to keep the mold closed during injection.

Considering a double hop upgrade from 12.02. to 13.1. I need to stop briefly at 13.0.2 before continuing on but seeing if we can chain this together.  What are some things to look out for? I believe I would need to plan for two target hosts and databases right? Is it just as straight forward as running the upgrade manager twice or should there be deep validation in the intermediate upgrade? In people's experience who've done this, is it 2X or 1.2x harder?

Ok, so, for a LOOOOONG time I've wanted to make 7 other iso views like the Default Orientation, but never was able to find actual information to make it work.  There was some numbers I found here some time ago based on Radians....but they weren't quite correct, and that bugged the cr@p out of me.  since we're revising our start models and I REALLY finally wanted to put this to bed, I FINALLY was able to find the info that I needed.  In looking at it, I figured the rotation angle around the Y axis (relative to the screen) HAD to be 45deg (+ or - depending)...and it is, but what was the horizontal angle?  I found the last clue here for the "True" representation (FINALLY!): https://support.ptc.com/help//creo/ced_modeling/r20.5.0.0/en/index.html#page/ced_modeling/OSDM_Annotation/am_settings_isometric_view.html   I've attached the Word doc I made, but for, say, Iso-Front-Left-Top orientation, the angles when starting from the FRONT view are: (DEFAULT TYPE ISO VIEWS

In the attached file below if i give sub = stack(sub,RA) at the end of program, it gives same options multiple times. could someone please explain, why the program does that?can't attach Mathcad sheet.
