I have a scenario,consider I am creating the following objects using Windchill Custom API loader.EPMDocument -xyz.prt, versions A.1,B.1,C.1WTPart - abc, versions A.1,B.1,C.1I use the below static methods to initialize the objects.EPMDocument.newEPMDocument(docNumber, docName, authoringApp, docType, cadName) for epmdocumentWTPart.newWTPart(number,name) for wtpart My question:First, when A.1 instance is created, i believe the API also creates its master object in the background. What happens when i move to B.1 creation, with same API code? will it attempt re-creation of master object (or)override  existing master object during B.1 and C.1?    

Hello everyone,we introduced Windchill a few weeks ago. Now I have to create quite large assemblies, subassemblies, single parts and associated drawings from our migrated data. Some reference parts (phantoms) without linked WTParts are also components of the assembly which I want to copy. If I want to use the  "save as" function, I have two options. When I start from the top assembly and I do the collector I see all the files I needed. This includes also the phantoms. In the "As a Structure with Associated Objects" view, however, I miss the drawings. So I switch to "As a List", but the view is rather confusing because I can't expand and collapse the individual node of the sub assemblies. The second option: If I start from the WTPart,  then I have my CAD structure plus drawings visible under "As a Structure with Associated Objects", but logically the phantoms are missing here because they have no linked WTParts. I would like to have the "Structure with Asso

I have searched the community and only find wrapping long equation and not symbolic answers.  This works, but I was wondering if there was some built-in way to wrap symbolic answers similar to wrapping long equations, which I don't recall ever doing.  "No" is an acceptable answer.😄 Thanks as always.

I have been using Creo for a couple years. I recently replaced my hard drive several months ago and now am trying to reinstall Creo parametric. I installed Creo 9 by following the links for the Student Version (because I am still a student, after which I would become an educator). I installed Creo 9 and ran the program and it said that the Student License doesn’t support Creo 9 however the PTC website seems to indicate that it does.

Background:Although unimportant to my question, I am trying to resurrect a Filon Method of Fourier Transforms that I used over 30 years ago in a Fortran code (see my profile😕).  I am in the first steps, which require that I develop a polynomial fit to the function to be transformed.  Another function will not work in this method.My quandaries:Attached is a Mathcad 15 code for the first steps of this process.  You will also need the subroutine called; it is attached also.  I searched the PTC Community and found this reference:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/The-best-way-to-extract-polynomial-coefficients-and-form-an/m-p/345426#M135001It states that the coefficients of the polynomial fit are the result of the regress(x,y,order) function.  However, that cannot be correct as I show in my worksheet. Is this the difference between Mathcad 15 and Prime?  My Prime version is very old and and I not very experienced with it.If that is not the case, how do

I have six tests and I have done the calculation for one test I need to do the same calculation for the remaining five tests and I don't want to copy paste the calculation, I want to use the same sheet for all the tests with enabling all the functions and calculation to change according to the input values ( general calculation). I have Ignition connected to KepserverEX 6.13 as an OPC client. I'd like to build dashboards, reports and alarms in Ignition to monitor performance statistics as we scale out our system - adding more devices, channels and tags. I know most device drivers provide a count of active tags (e.g. <Channel Name>.<Device Name>._System._ActiveTagCount), but is there a way to access the total number of tags defined in the Kepserver Project, as displayed in the "Tags Defined" field Property Editor dialog for the Project? I'm looking at _System._ActiveTagCount at the root level, but this number is not matching what's displayed in the dialog box on Kepserver. For bonus points, is there a good post or white paper out there for best practices on dashboarding Kepware in general - what are the prudent metrics to be monitoring and thresholding for alarms, etc.?

Have any of you set up NX Reuse Library in Windchill? This is supported (apparently) and seems to work ok. Documentation is reasonably clear but I'm not sure about this line below here:If the recommended workflow is that the WGM generates a first pass ReuseLibraryFileTypes_vxxxx.xml and then the update preference is set to now, what is the process for updating the XML with data from the server after that? Does the preference need to be toggled or does the library update on it's own by virtue of it being connected to Windchill?

I converted a file from MathCad 15 to MathCad Prime 9. After the converting was made, MathCad Prime 9 is marking some of the variables with red Box saying that this variable is not defined (See screeshot). I noticed that the Problem is that Variable contains two level of subsripts and Mathcad Prime 9 cant see the second subscript. As a result all Variables will be seen as only one variable and not multiple diffrent variables. Can someone help me please? Thank you Greetings

I'm trying to read when a step is started in CWC, I'm reading when a tag of a smart tool is written and then sending trough MQTT to a subscriber client. The values that I'm writing in the smart tool are 1, 2, 3 sequentially on the same step.I've done a subscription datachange into the MQTT thing to the smart tool property and added the code:me.TesteProp = events["ST_StepCheckTool_DataChange_StepStart"].eventData.newValue.value;then publishing by the MQTT thing, I'm receiving (the increment can happen to the value 1 and 2 but not always): b'1.0'b'2.0'b'3.0'b'30.0'b'300.0'b'3000.0'b'30000.0' Then it's stops for a moment, prevents the sequence to go further and then continues the execution normally.The workaround was writing more information to the value, I did this:me.TesteProp = "" + events["ST_StepCheckTool_DataChange_StepStart"].eventData.newValue.value;then it works fine, I only  get 1, 2, 3 and there's no delay.The problem seems to be in the smart tool, because the "w

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0I would like to know if there is a way to extend the left hand side section of the browser window to maximum extent possible. We are not going to use the section with address bar. We would like the right hand side section to be as minimum as possible.I tried setting Navigation Window Width to 100% but it didn't work. I am setting up a GIT repository and creating a pipeline for Windchill . Customer is managing Customizations with SafeArea and Windchill has ThingWorx Navigate , Workers , Replica and all other Integrations. We are on github and using git hub action .Requirement is to manage a pipeline for building and managing the code deployment from Dev -> Test -> Preprod -> Prod environment .  Can you please help me with how to manage and create a pipeline? What should be my branching Stratergy ?When CPS or next Upgrade happens, this master repository should server as main .
