Hi Bill, Reference topic  - https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Beam-bending-using-finite-differences/m-p/884208#M207256I was just wondering why I tend to get failures if I run this multiple times within the same MathCAD sheet (i.e. cut and paste it several times). Usually I can get away with running two different runs (usually x and y) but if I'm looking at multiple items, despite clearing what I think are the important variables, it always throws up an odd error? Do you know if there is a reason this would happen and good places to trouble shoot when it does?

Hi @TanmeyTWX , I'm pretty new to thingworx, I came across this post while searching for the ptc-grid edit, previously by using the legacy grid widget it was pretty easy to use the grid, after upgrading to the new widget finding very much difficult to get the edit cell values(text, number, boolean or any type) I'm able to get only single row from the EditedData property of the ptc-grid. If possible can you put your listings to know how you have achieved the edit options.   Thank You, Balu

I usually need to export dxf files. I would have a multisheet drawing file, and I would need to make a separate dxf from each sheet. Is there anyway I can do it automatically?  Any script or anything else? I want to export multiple dxf files with one click. Also can I export dxf without border line? I just need drawing view not borders. Is there anyway to stop borders being drawn in export dxf file?

Hello, This is a difficulty I have had with Creo for a long time, I always resort to adding a manual note to look as I want but I was wondering whether what I am trying is actually possible. I have a detail view but wish to have different layer settings for that particular view (compared to its parent) so changed the detail view type to 'General'. By making this a general view, the view label now defaults to the section view (&xsec_name). The detail view retains its name (C) but when I change the view label to say (&view_name), it just returns to the default &xsec_name. Simple question is; is it possible to create manual notes that are associated with specific views that will pull the relevant information from the view by adding the relevant &_x_ information? N.B. I am running Creo Parametric version 8.0.7.0

Hello,   I am having trouble finding the material ID for use in a note.  I have created a new parameter in my material called "SPEC" that I'd like to use in my note.  But I cannot find where to get the MTRL_ID   Thanks for any assistance.

Hopefully one of you can help me here. I need to make some custom toolkit buttons in Creo Parametric 8 but the PTC examples don't work and the documentation seems conflicting and is very unclear about how to start. I have created an async program in VB before, also with Creo Parametric 8, but this was a sort of background worker without UI involved. This program was pretty straightforward using the documentation. Linking VB.net to the Creo UI seems impossible at this point. Has anyone succeeded? Do you have a 'helloworld' example where the application is linked to Creo and a working custom button is added?

As per the original post.    Hi Tom,   I am in the process of upgrading from 12.0 to 12.1. I've done everything to install the target windchill system, including deploying customizations, running the custom column length command, and running the addcolumns tool. Our source database runs under schema user "WFUSER" and our target database was installed (on a separate host) under "WVUSER." I tried following the steps for importing to a different target schema username, but we keep running into issues with data being skipped. Any chance you know what the proper steps are here? Do I need to drop the "WVUSER" schema on the target (even though that's where our target application is installed to) and recreate using the <WT_HOME>/db/sql/create_user.sql? Should I be importing the source to the target under username "WFUSER" and do I need to use the create_user.sql script prior to doing that? The upgrade guides are extremely confusing to me on this subject. Any help is apprec

Hello, this is my first time using PTC. I was instructed to do a self guided class and I was wondering where do you go to open a task as shown in the student guide as it is telling me to do in Task 1? Please let me know. 

Has anyone found a way to set the default Bind DN for OpenDJ? It defaults to "CN=Directory Manager" and I would like it to default to "CN=Manager" instead. 

In our EDR change task workflow, there is a setup participants task where someone picks a review team and that team is properly restricted to those who can see the context.  But sometimes our users go to the Members list and add users directly to the review team role.  Adding on the Members is not restricted in the same way as the workflow and they could add someone they should not have been able to choose (the unsecure person could not see any details of the EDR or its objects, but they did get the task and could blindly approve it). Can the Members area be view-only?  Is there a permission to restrict it?  I setup a read-only user such that they can't edit a certain document but can still modify the Members list.

Creo 4.0 M070 Windchill 11.0 M030   We are getting a Windchill error when we want to upload a modified generic: Document does not have IBA definition: document=_instance_name_, column(item)=ARTIKELNUMMER   The error points to one of the instances and to one of the User Defined Parameters inside that part (our own "articlenumber"). "articlenumber" is one of the columns in our family table. "articlenumber" is also a designated parameter (and it is being used in thousands of other parts without any trouble).   So Windchill refuses to upload that part... So I remove that column from the family table...Windchill still refuses to upload that part. So I remove the parameter completely from that part...Windchill uploads that part with no issues! So I re-add the parameter to the part (marking it as designated), re-add it to the family table...Windchill uploads the part with no issues!   Does any one have any clue what is going on?   P.s. We do not use WTParts.

Hello guys, I have a small issue every time I run dynamic analysis in Creo Parametric. If I click the dynamic option, it always says "mechanism dynamics is required for this analysis type meaning". Do you guys know how to fix this or maybe there was a wrong joint or connection with the setting so the I couldn't run dynamic analysis. However, there's no problem with kinematic analysis. 

Hello!I have a problem with my drawings. So I have an assembly and a drawing. There are two sheets in the drawing - the first is in A1 format, the second is in A3 format. On the first sheet outside the drawing field there is a specification table and positions are placed based on its repeat region.The problem is that the ballons break, overlap each other, etc.For example:1). Being on the second sheet, I click “update sheets”. After that, I go to the first sheet and see that almost all the ballons have fallen apart. Like that:Ok, then I click “update sheets” on the first sheet and everything falls into place as it shouldBUT! When I switch to the second sheet, the positions break again, only now on the second sheet.It's a vicious circle... The interesting thing is that if I make the same format on the sheets, then everything is fine. But I need different formats!So far the problem is solved by redrawing the drawing, but this is not normal Creo 5.0.4.0.

Hello, On page 7 of the attached sheet, there is a solver that existed in the sheet i created in mathcad 15. When i converted it to Prime 9, it removed the syntax "Given" and it aslo  states undefined variables. I dont know how to fix it. Thanks,Sam  

I have a Spring scheduled method in Windchill and want to call some methods, but i get the erro that there is no active method context. So I tried to call the method via RemoteMethodServer.invoke(). There are multiple tables with LWC* in windchill db. Does any one has idea about those tables?

hi all we are facing a problem regarding some parts constraint within an assembly. when we constrain them in the first place, everything looks good (fully constraint, ok).if we then open the define window of that part again, the constraints are changed (as you can see in the picture).first there were 3 constraints: 1. coincident, 2 & 3. distance, after reopening the define window. the 2. & 3. constraints are changed to coincident with the target surface as "not in memory".same happens, if we reopen the whole assembly after saving and checking in.we are using Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0thanks in advance   

Are there any ideal parameter's that we need to pass from Creo Parametric to engineering notebook (Mathcad worksheet) and relatively the input parameter's from engineering book to Creo Parametric? I want to design helical gears and do the calculation part in engineering notebook can this be done? Design with engineering notebook 

Looking for others with AWS private cloud implementations,   We are experiencing the following failure and error message in the BGMS logs when attempting to ZIP a large Package Delivery. Hi. I have been trying to conduct flow analysis on a fan blade for quite a while now and I can't seem to get the right specifications. I have looked all over the internet and have only found flow analysis of internal structures, not external ones. I have tried so many things and can't seem to get it correctly.
