My software won't load and a message comes up saying 'connection failed' and it asks for proxy server details - it never used to do this.  Does anyone know how I can overcome it?

I use a copy geometry to get planes from my skeleton. Now I have a lot of planes in my model. It makes it hard to find the plane that I need on the screen. I want to use layers to only show the planes that I want to use as references for my desired feature. But, when I try to select a plane from a copy geometry for creation of a layer, it selects all the planes from that copy geometry. Is there maybe a way to use just a selected few of the planes from a copy geometry in a layer? Thanks a lot for ideas and answers!

Hi,I recently faced this issue, that whenever i import a step file, it mostly imported as surface with geometry error. But same .step imported with solidworks, showing no error and imported as a clean 3D model. If I save that model into whatever files .iges, .stp and re import with creo, still facing same geometry errors like this.In Solidworks, i save the file as creo .prt file. That model is solid in creo. How and why the file works well with solidworks not with creo 7.0 ? This is not only for a single .step file but almost all of my .step models i have so many errors. 

I have created a one thing, inside that thing one service is created and I want to use this service in my react application.         I used the following format of API 'http://localhost/Thingworx/Things/ThingWorxTrainingMaintenanceBlog/Services/GetBlogEntriesWithComments' but still facing issue.         Please suggest me the correct way of doing this.         I'm using Thingworx 9.3

 I have problem when running my mechanism analysis it says "The mechanism could not be assembled because some mechanism constraints weren't met". Is it because the joint/assembly isn't properly constraint or what ? Whats the easiest way to know if my parts are connected incorrectly? 

Hello Communtiy, For some time now I have been using the "Export as Source Control Entities" function and SourceTree when I want to save something in our internal source control system. However some of my colleagues use the PTC(?) built Git Mashup for the same functionality. What I have noticed is that when someone has used the Git Mashup for source control, the XML contains a "password" in the <Entities> universal tag.But when I have exported it using the Source Control Entities function the <Entities> universal tag is empty. This causes some quite annoying issues when trying to actually see what has been changed between commits as every single entity now looks changed. Does anyone have any ideas on what causes this? I suppose as a workaround I could add the "password" value in the tags manually. But if possible I would rather not. Thanks,Jens

Hi, today I tried to install free trial version of Mathcad Prime 9.0. Instalation was succesfull, but i can't activate my license. Every time when I try to acquire my license it shows me this message "You have reached the maximum number license requests for your product type". What should I do?

Hi,I created a student account about a week ago to get the 30-day free trial of Mathcad Prime, but I never received the email with the license.

I have a drawing with multiple dashed line fonts. In Creo Parametric, the spacing of these line fonts changes dynamically as I zoom in and out so that they are always readable. When I publish the file to a DXF or DWG format, Creo appears to be assigning a linetype scale factor that I cannot control. When I import the resultant DWG file to AutoCAD, I can use the LTSCALE command to enter a new scale factor. I see when I do this that Creo has assigned the factor 2.585 for this particular drawing. Other drawings have their own scale factors applied, I assume based on the size of the drawing sheet (larger sheets get larger scale factors, resulting in wider spacing). Is there any way within Creo to pre-assign the scale so that we do not have to post-process it in AutoCAD?

Hi Team, I am looking to better understand/ best practice of storing PLC tag data from the machine,I am using Azure SQL as a persistence provider. Current architecture.We are logging roughly 100 tags (might scale to ~500) from one machine into the value streamWe have 10 such machines (planning to scale to ~50).We are logging the data in value stream to show data in the dashboard for monitoring like temp, head pressure etcDashboard can show data for 2days Then pushing rest of the data to datalake to have more historical data.With above configuration, we are getting around 3500 tags every min for 1 machine, When we scale to multiple and more tags, this number will surely grow and value stream being a table isn't able to handle. What are the different logic you use for this architecture ?What are best practises?Is having only parallel Azure IOT event hub to push data to datalake? Please suggest!

Dear member and adminWhat kepserver version which has multiple column mappings editing and also Siemens S7 PLus connectivity feature? I'm check V6.5 has feature multiple columns mappings editing which i can delete Itemid, Numericid and soon which i don't need but it doesn't have S7Plus connectivity.While in V6.13 it doesn't have multiple columns mappings editing.i need feature multiple columns mappings editing otherwise is painstaking job to delete one by one. 

We recently completed an upgrade from Creo 6 to Creo 10. One of the items I failed to test/verify was our custom symbols. After all, decades of using .sym files for symbols and all that. Now I can't see any of the .sym files.Drag and drop doesn't work (not a recognized file type). I can open the 'Define Symbols' menu through the annotate tab and I can edit symbols through what looks like the old interface. Saving them just iterates the .sym file and still doesn't allow me to use them on drawings. I've been searching, and will continue to search, for instructions on what to do. I'm just sure PTC would have had the foresight to provide with this change. /s What am I missing? Anyone have a quick link or easy fix for my predicament? Was it some config I scrubbed out during the upgrade?

Is it possible to locate a reference file in the right margin of the document?  The intent is to utilize the reference information in calculations but not show as part of the printed document.  An alternative seems to be including the reference file in a collapsed area; however, that results in a solid line across the page when printed.  If this is the best option to include but hide a reference file, is it possible to disable printing of this region?  Again, I'm not wanting this line visible when printing formal presentation documents.  In Mathcad 15, I could turn of the time line, date, etc. and then highlight the region with a light color that wasn't visible on the printed document. Thanks,

Hello,I would like to add thickness to an imported surface in creo to make it a solid model. I couldn't do it with the Thicken command because the shape is too complex and some surfaces can't be offset so I built the inner surface with less offset. I managed to merge a model with an internal thickness of closed surfaces, but the solidify command won't do it because the surface connection is not watertight. In the surface connection analysis, it shows red in a few places and the maximum gap is 0,035 mm. My question is, how can I set it to ignore these small errors and do the solidify command?

HiI have creo 7 installed in my system. In it i am missing a set of icons in the quick access toolbar which is regularly needed for me. All my colleagues have those. i tried copying there confi.pro and other folders but nothing seemed to work. These are the icons that i need. Can anyone help?

I wanted to provide runtime permission to non admin and non member of ComposerUsers group to view the mashup and able to run the application. I have created Organization, in that organization, I have added user group which consists of the user for whom the app should be visible and executable. So as per the article - https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS341872  I have applied the required permissions. But for that user getting error as - Exception in WHR.EngPortal.Base.Thing::GetAdminPanelSections:TypeError: Cannot call method "CreateInfoTableFromDataShape" of null Note - for the Thing - WHR.EngPortal.Base.Thing I have provided the visibility permission, runtime permission and design time permission for that organization and user group. PFA screenshot of the same, but still I am getting this error. And for admin user, it is working fine. Also even when I add this user group or user to the ComposerUsers group at that time also It is working fine. Unable
