Creo Parametric 7   I have multiple designs in process that will have thread milled holes in them. What is the best practice for standard thread milled features in Creo? The standard tapped holes are not out of the box configured to deal with these features.   Is anyone aware of the existence of an open-source custom hole chart for thread milled holes for UNC/UNF threads? Would custom hole charts be capable of dealing with thread milled holes?   I am open to other solutions (UDFs) etc. if there is an advantage to using them.        

When you first open a Database or JavaScript thing you can create or duplicate services. If you view a service you can't create or duplicate unless you close the Thing and reopen it. I am sure there is a shortcut somewhere i am missing as this is annoying. Using ThingWorx Composer 9.3x 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0We know support for DIAGRAMS (.dgm files) is all but gone but we we do have a pertpetual license (54) and have been continuing to use them, with parameter 'enable_obsolete_modes=True'. But now we can't open the .dgm files any more and we are not sure what changed. Looking at the settings with Creo we see that enable_obsolete_modes has a 'stop' icon next to it (see attached). Doe this mean it is no longer working?

             

Hi there, for some reason, when I run interactive ModelCheck within an assembly and select "All Levels",ModelCheck still only checks the top level assembly.To check all components, I have to run MC on each single component manually.This is quite time consuming, when there are 50+ parts to check. Any ideas, what could be wrong? Using Creo 8.0.7.0 

Hello I am using Thingworx 9.3 and I am wondering if formatting a graph like this is possible?    

I'm attempting a study of a Macpherson strut and struggling to figure out how to input the damping characteristics.  I have the Creo Mechanism dynamics option but as far as I can tell the damping coefficient would be the same in both compression and rebound.  I'm wondering if there is a better way to represent the damper.  Anyone have experience with this?     

Hello Experts  What are views in Pdmlink? Are these similar to "Bom" views in other PLM systems?  I can see the same Part can be in both views with same item number and revision. On a side note, the Rest Api doesnt seem to have a filter on View Thanks

When creating a CustomTableBuilder with "return new WTArrayList(PersistenceHelper.manager.find((StatementSpec) querySpec)" for the OOTB Default tables, am I able to add custom columns and how? The question aims to the return value not the TableConfig and ColumnConfig, but rather how to fill the columns.   

Hi!Assume the following simple equations, which I want first to define x=b+5 and later solve the second equation for b.How can I do that?  The same question when we add units as well. Here, I think I need a symbolic variable (a) defined first and then solve Z for a to find the a.Any help is much appreciated.     

My Worksheet Converter in M-C Prime 8.0 for some unknown reason got grayed out and I cannot access it.A note says "Worksheet converter is not installed. Run setup to add the installation."Can somebody tell me how to do it. I tried to search for it but I could find nothing about running setup and reinstalling the Converter.

Hello Community,   I just finished federating data from one TWX instance to another. On the new instance I keep getting this error in the application log:  << Error [authenticating connection], Server websocket will be closed. cause: Missing application key!. >>   This error appears every millisecond.  I tried to stop and start Thingworx by using a tomact start and stop, this restarted the server but did not eliminate the error. I am TWX version 9.3.8   Any ideas on how to tackle the problem. Regards, TB

I have imported excel data and made column vectors from data. When I try to multiply elements with an index beginning somewhere in the range I get this.Why do I get zero values and how might I eliminate this behavior?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to mass set effectivity (Date Effectivity) across my system. Is the correct API the following?wt.effectivity.EffectivityHelper.setEffectivityTarget(wt.effectivity.Effectivity effectivity, wt.effectivity.EffectivityHoldereffectivityHolder) I would provide a version of a WTPart (holder) and an Effectivityinstance (WTDatedEffectivity), assuming that this method does the storefor me. Another question, would I be responsible for providing the proper enddate when creating the WTDatedEffectivity? For example, if I had a partwith multiple revisions and I was setting effectivity on all of them,when I apply the effectivity to version B after A was defined asopen-ended, would it update the end date of A to the start date of B?

Hi there I am using Mathcad Prime 8.0 and Excel 365 32-bit. I have a Mathcad Prime 8.0 sheet (converted from Mathcad 15.0) that sends input e.g. NPS:=2.5 into an Excel component and extracts dependent output data. It appears that if I change the Mathcad parameter to e.g. NPS:=8, Mathcad updates the input inside Excel, but Excel does not auto-calculate. Excel apparently only auto-calculates if I force re-calculation through CTRL+F5 from Mathcad, or if I open the Excel component and force re-calculation (e.g. Calculate Now) I have Auto Calculation and multi-threading enabled in Mathcad, and Calculation Options set to Automatic in the Excel component. Has anyone seen this before and know how to enforce auto-calculation without using CTRL+F5? E.g. write a macro inside the Excel component that triggers auto-calculation? However, it looks like a bug. Thanks.

Hello,I have a question about the "Remove from Cache" and "Purge Paticipant Cache" actions on Windchill's Participant Administration menu.If I execute those actions, what will the consequences be?Does the user's workspaces get cleared out?  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Hi, So I went through and changed some of the screw/bolt names within the family table, though I made sure not to change the name of the generics or the heads of each sub family table. I've done this in the past and it worked fine. It also still recognizes all the new names and pulls in the correct bolts with the correct names upon startup. I am also able to open up the top level generic part and all lower level generic parts, as well as the renamed parts just fine.My issue is now that when I go to use the intelligent fastener tool it tells me that a model cannot be found. The way it names the model is very odd too, it seems the model has the same name as a file path, and the file path it gives never held the part in it anyway (the csff.prt file is not located in the "ifx_fastener_data" folder, it is located in the prolibrary folder, and I made sure of that on a differerent machine that had not yet updated their ifx prolibrary).

I want to create a symbol with 3 colors, Red, white and blue. I am using Creo 6.I use a filled hatch pattern. When I make for blue and red, no problem, but the white are is printed in black. When I modify the white scale to a little less white, it pops up ok.How to print fully white area?I know this is pentable related but I can't find the issue.

I am using the Creo Harness Manufacturing Extension to create a wire harness manufacturing drawing. I am trying to populate the cavity tables for each connector with terminal and seal names. I am under the assumption that HMX pulls terminal names from a terminator table. I tried to import a terminator table into Creo Schematics from a csv file that I created but I am getting an error that reads "Failed reading file terminatortable.csv, line 1 is invalid." I created the csv file by exporting a sample terminator table text file from PTC into a csv file. Shown below is a screenshot of the csv file I tried to import. Help would be much appreciated!
