I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.7.0I'm trying to import some component from Solidworks Toolbox. When the component has a configuration name different from "Default", the asm.mbr.name attribute and the name in the tree of the component is "NAME(CONFIGURATION)". I can never manage this name and also appear in the attribute of the BOM table

Hi,  According to the explanation of the help document :  . "A federation is a concept to enable offloading a large solution workload between ThingWorx servers" . "A primary use case for a federation is off-loading high volume disk IO (such as high frequency stream writes) to a persistence optimized server"   to offload the IO workload , I think a PersistentenceProviderPackage  on  a SSD can also solve the primary use case.  to offload the CPU workload, active-active cluster can solve it.    so what's the real necessary use case for Federation ? or is it still necessary for 9.3+ ?

Hello all, as I have learned here in the forum 😀, and which also works very well 👍, if I want to show only a small area of a model, I proceed as follows: 1. I define a 3D page and place the model next to it. Then I create a detail that I place on the 3D page. I hide the connecting line. My problem now: I want to show an enlargement (detail) of this section. 2. I can now show a detail, but the detail aerea is on the model next to my page. 3. when I move the detail area to my detail, it is empty. Question: Is it possible to create a detail view of a detail view? I am learning Creo 9 and are trying to make a BOM list with balloons to the assembly. However, I am unable to add balloons. I press on create balloons - all, and nothing happens. No error message and no balloons! I attach a picture.  Also i would like to show the exploded lines that I have created. they are visible when the assy is shaded but not in wireframe. Is it possible?        

In Thingworx  9.3.0-b20 the grid widget offers editedData as well as deletedData as source bindable properties. In prior versions the grid had the data property bindable both ways, but now this is lost. It was very convenient to bind to the data property as a source so that one had an exact view of the data by creating just one binding. Is there a plan to bring back this feature, or even easier, can I bind the current state of the infotable as a source with just one connection so that I can use the current state of the grid without having to implement the data manipulation services (edited, deleted)? 

Is there a way that we can create and configure email alerts in Windchill when the vault status becomes inactive? Thanks in advance! -Amar

HelloI'm trying to remove 2 parts from my Creo 2.0 workspace, but Windchill insists that they cannot be removed without also removing the parent object.  The parent object does not use these 2 parts.  How can I break the link between the parent and children?Thank you

How can we pass dynamic values for the "ValuesTooltip" attribute in Line chart? I have a multi line chart which has the data from multiple source. I used the below code, But It requires the specific data source Number, I cant mention a specific data source number, coz I required the customized tooltip for all the lines not a single line. ${DataSourceN:<Infotable-field>}  Someone please help me to achieve this requirement. Thank you.

Hi all, As the subject suggests, I have a problem with the explode lines being hidden in drawing view. They can be seen as offset lines in the assembly. The only layer hidden in the drawing is 03___PRT_ALL_CURVES. When I try showing this, the hidden lines still do not show up.  Any help with this would be much appreciate. Thank you!

I have user defined parameters in some parts and want to create a report in the report builder that displays the specific parameter in the output excel file.  How can I link these parameters in an EPM Document to display them?  I have the EPM document joined by the context, but am having trouble finding where these parameters are in the criteria.

Can we use WBM Extractor to extract data(CAD, parts,Documents) from Windchill system--> put the data into WBM Staging DB--> Export Staging table's data in CSV format--> Load the CSV data into either TeamCenter or 3DExperience. Is this scenario possible?If not  what options are available to extract data from Windchill and migrate into other major PLM systems like Teamcenter or 3DExperience or AutoDesk?

Hi Everyone. I Would love to hear any and all feedback regarding two current hangups on my Attribute and Node layout. First the problems:1. The Organization would like to give "Parts Link Administration" power to a subset of librarians. This Librarian would be responsible for entering parameters specific to geometry ie: length, size, threads etc... To facilitate this, a "Real Number" Data Type will be used. Personally I would use a "String" and Legal value list. This list will hold specific values that can then be managed. Question: At your organizations, which direction did you go or how did you handle this? 2. Node structure and layout. How are you handling IN and MM parts? Do you create separate nodes at each level or did you create this delineation at the top level? (see image for node specific example) thanks for any ideas or input you might have. Hello Community, If I open an assembly from Windchill in Creo View and add annotations and/or save annotation sets to the assembly: Will the engineer see these annotations/sets in his Creo Parametric when he continues to work on the assembly? RegardsDavid
