Is there a good way to compare two assemblies' geometry?  I have an assembly that we sent to an outside firm for modifications.  Those modifications were sent back to us as a step file.  The BOM is different and difficult to compare, but the geometries look nearly identical.  Is there a good way to compare model Geometry?Ideally it would be a transparent model with removed geometry in red (solid) and added geometry in green (solid).  That way I can quickly identify differences in the models. 

The attached small system of ordinary differential equations cannot be solved, I need help. With the help of gdg solver I have had success so far. There must be a harmless error somewhere that I can't find.

Hello everybody,   is there a way how I can use complex parameters (INFOTABLE or JSON) for SQL Query/Commands? Normally i need to add all columns I need as parameter. For large tables with many columns this can be really annoying. In the script I can use "<< >>" or "[[ ]]" to substitute parameters, but how can I do it, when the parameter is a JSON? e.g.: entry = { "id": 1, "val": "Hello" }. Every try of an SQL script trying to access "entry.val" does not work for me ...    Greetings   Andreas

When displaying the DB Properties window some attributes cannot be seen well due to the text color. Some texts/attributes in the window are shown in grey color and the background color is almost similar.   Now we need to do a "Edit" to see the details clear instead of just look to the fields.

Hi,I do problems that produce a square matrix in the s domain multiplied by a vector this is equal to a driver vector (circuit analysis).  I build a matrix with constants R,C,L and s as the complex frequency.  I invert this matrix and multiply by vector.  I use symbolics to generate the vector.  I then copy this result manually to a function and do my calculations in the s domain.   My problem is the copy and paste.  If I change something in the matrix (add a resistor) then it changes and I have to manually repeat the copy and paste. Is there a way to do this automatically.   I'm using 7.0 version now. Thanks for the helpAndy    

I have a node locked license of creo 3.0. My computer died and I am having trouble downloading and licensing the software on my new computer. Creo support is refusing to help because I don't have an active maintenance subscription. I was finally able to download the software when I found a link to the educational install - I'm hoping its the same. I downloaded my license file from ptc.com but it still has the mac address of my old computer. The installation software wouldn't let me license it. I tried putting the license file into the ptc folder mauall but that didn't work. I tried to manually change the mac address to match my new computer but I get the same error. What am I supposed to do?

I am trying to plot a function in respect to a defined domain.  However, the function states that domain variable is undefined.  I do get discrete values when I remove the label for the function I do get a set of discrete values.  I feel like my issue is syntax, what am I doing wrong?    

I saw this briefly in my rehearsals but it seemed to go away on its own. Not sure where to look for the issue. Normally, in our old system, when you browse a classification and then get directed to the search results, the attributes of that node display in the search results at the far right. I know I saw it during the upgrade that it stopped at the classification path but somehow, when I checked later, it resolved itself. Not sure I did anything to fix it.  Facets work find and I am able to use them to filter further but I am not sure why it would not show the attributes. I am using the "Default Part View" I do not believe there were edits to it. This is version 12.0 and we upgraded from 11.1.

I have a user who has Windchill Advanced license and does not have any other assigned profile. They reported that they cannot see the actions under Manage Replacements to create a substitute. I can but I am admin. They could before in 11.1 system so I suspect something with licensing or upgrade.  We turned on jcaDebug and saw this: and I looked up the following article: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS309967?source=search I will check logs and but for the resolution on this, you can't edit the license profiles if that truly was the cause. I am sure the user has rights to create subs. They did check out the Assembly Part. Any other places to try?

I am using Mathcad Prime 7 and I am having an issue where if I put US temperature units in the denominator of a fraction, it says the value must be a scalar or a matrix.  This does not happen with Kelvin or Rankine units.  I tried writing it different ways and that did not help either.  I tried selecting it directly from the units list as opposed to typing it in.  I tried converting the kelvin equivalent to Fahrenheit and still no luck.  Does anyone know what is going on or how to get this to work?        

Hi friends!  I have a question/doubt about IoT Gateway's REST Client:     How can I make a GET request from REST Client in order to retrieve some data from an external API (e.g. Weather, web application, etc)?.   As you know, it only supports PUT & POST method and it's fine but what about if I want to connect to Google Maps, Open Trivia  or AccuWeather  and retrieve/handle some values??   Even, I have a Google sheet's script deployed as web application listening external calls to log data in my sheet and I just need a simple GET request to achieve it but I can't find a way to do it from IoT Gateway module. My URL to get this is:  "https://script.google.com/macros/s/ SCRIPT_ID/exec?temp1=1234&level=122&pressure=88"   What would be the procedure or module to achieve it?   Thanks in advance for your prompt reply and help,   Saludos!

Hello, Line charts cannot be displayed in the mashup with respect to date and time even if it is designed according to PTC guide as a reference. Below is the example to display the temperature with respect to present date and time and how it is binded with and the result after saving the mashup is displayed as an error in the next image   •The Date/Time Property is not considering the Present date time and year , even if we set the Property to the today’s date and save it and once if we refresh the page by default it will take it as 1970 /01/01 . IT is shown in the below image please help to get the proper line chart with respect to time and date.

Hi,how to add parameters in model automatically? We have alot of old parts on the server. Our machines are always updating so all the old parts are edited/used each year. This year because of technology we need to add new parameter to each part. Is there any way how to add it on checkout or with the help of modelcheck or other way how to add parameters without manual work?   

i got free 30 day mathcad installed but it will not start.

I have revised a part that was perfectly fine. Now it is hollow on the inside after adding 2 features. Any ideas how to fix this?
