I have a drawing which I copied and renamed.   We are currently creating a development drawing and then later a production drawing in which we use a different drawing number.     I want to replace the model in which the views are created from with an identical model assembly with a slightly different part number.  I've tried the "Drawing Models" commands and I've added the model, so it shows up in my list of models.  I've tried to use "Replace" but it doesn't seem to work.   How would I go about doing this and preserving my views and dimensions, etc.?   Thanks

I know this has been covered before, but seems it's been a while and I'm confused again. I have uploaded a Creo part that has not been checked-out; lucky, for then few days later I unintentionally saved over my local workspace copy with a version from another local backup.  So now I want to get back the version that I uploaded to the server-side workspace.   I managed to do this by launching new Creo session (after renaming my local cache folder and basically forcing the rebuild of the cache in the new folder), and then doing a save-as-backup.  Luckily I did this before I attempted the "Add function" and "download" which ended up bringing in the previous version of the object from the commonspace (not the server-side workspace)...     So, was there an easier way of getting the latest uploaded server-side workspace version of the object back into the local workspace?  And am I abusing the upload to server function as a means of a undo?

Hi Guys I have the following scenario: Imagine a "complex box", with about 50parts, inside that box is "content", also 50parts (a few of each are subassemblies. some are long, straight cables, usually hidden/excluded) I created a simplified representations to exclude the cables anyway (since those are in subassemblies, it doesn't change the BOM) A) But if I'd explode all 100 parts, then it's a big mess... therefore I only explode the complex box (and show how you build it around the inner content)B) Then, as if it were a detail view, I created another simplified representations and excluded everything but the inner content and exploded it to show some details (and have space to label them proper) -> Sadly It seems that it is inevitable, that this creates two different BOMS (and I spent quite some time in the forum). Everything seems fine but when I try to import it I have the following error:zip4jExplorer/ZipExplorerThingTemplate has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 61.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0Here are my settings for the Java compiler: I use JavaSE-1.8 which correspond to JavaRuntime 52.0 according to the documentationI use gradle to build the extension.Any Idea about what I am doing wrong? Best regards

Hi all, its been a while! Does anyone know if its possible to change the cross height of a Z-radius dimension? The default height appears to be 5mm & is annoyingly large. I have been searching for a possible config option but have drawn a blank thus far. RegardsJohn 

Why does Windchill 12.1.0.x have such a short support life? 12.1.0.5 is scheduled for release on Aug 17 yet all 12.1.0.x have an end of support date of Sep 30, 2022. Is it even worth considering this release if we are upgrading from 11.0 or 11.1? Even 12.1.1 only has a 9 month support. It looks like 12.0.2.5 or .6 will be the best upgrade path for now with 12.1.2.x sometime in 2023 or early  2024, unless Windchill 12.2.x or Windchill 13 comes out in 2023.

We are working on going from Creo 6 to Creo 8, and the first engineer I have testing the program has run into an issue. After you create your first Extrude, none of the options become available like Flat, Flange, Flat Pattern, etc... I'm in IT and not fluent at all in the actual modeling portion, so trying to figure out what might be causing this?

Hello everybody,I describe the problem I am encountering:1. in a product context I create a linked part and cad:- 1234 v -.1- 1234.ASM v -.12. send to project context and check out PDM and get:- 1234 v -1.1- 1234.ASM v -1.13. in the project context I modify the files, check-in and send to PDM (with the right permissions)4. in the product context I get:- 1234 v -.2- 1234.ASM v -.25. if, in java code, i try to find last iteration, queryresult returns "--1" (from the project context?) and not the -.2 from the product context.The problem goes away if I check out - check in.NB:- version "--1" does not exists i nboth project context and product context;- if I delete part and CAD in project context I obtain the same result. Question: Is it possible to limit the queryspec to all libraries and all products so as not to search in project contexts?Thank You

Hello ,  I have a file wihout extension, but according to my researches it is ME10 file with (.mi) extension. Firstly I tried to open it by changing name and extension. As a result I wrote (.mi) and opened it on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". So it is succesfull method to open 2d ME10 file. Also I have an another file that it is without extension too. But this file is not working with (.mi) extension on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". The reason of this problem that probably this file was created by ME30. It is 3d model. I tried a lot of extension to open it on the program but failed. I cannot drop this file here because of company's policies. Years ago, files as these files without extension created on HP-UX OS. By years by as technology changes, ME30 became Creo Elements/Direct Modelling. I made a deep research in internet and found this kind of knowledges. Can anybody help me to open this "ME30 file" ? I need to be able to make a table through which, if there is changes in data, the no of rows and columns should be flexible enough to change, which currently is not possible if you create a table via data shapes.  I wish to know if it is possible to create a table which has flexible of no of rows.

Hi everyone,I would like to show a different jpg image depending on a certain result.Say for example that I have three sketches, saved in the active directory:sketchA.jpgsketchB.jpgsketchC.jpgThe three sketches have similar but not perfectly identical pixel number. I perform a certain calculation, that e.g. produces x as a result.Is it possible, using for example a conditional READ_IMAGE(), to let appear e.g. sketchA if x<=0, sketchB if 0<x<1 and sketchC if x>=1 ?I am actually using MathCAD 15.0.  But would this functionality be available also in MathCAD Prime?How would you implement this functionality?Thanks a lot for any hintBest regardsClaudio

As per the original Post    Hi I was using Isodraw 7.0 from long time. We have updated to Isodraw 7.3 and I have a problem enabling the cursor info in Isodraw 7.3 on windows 10.   "Use buffer drawing" option is not freed up. I tried the below methods but was unsuccessful. I tried to modify the "IsoDraw 7.3 Preferences" file in the local directory, but was unable to do so. I closed all the open files and try to check the options, but still was unable to do so. as per a suggestion, I even tried with a basic theme of windows, unsuccessful. Even tried to reinstall, but 😞 .   Could you please help me to get rid of this problem.   Thanks in advance,    

It appears that this may not be possible, but has anyone successfully copied a feature out of one part by editing the pro/program, copying the feature, and then pasting it into a new part?   When I try and do this it complains saying that there is no internal feature ID that matches the one that I copied and pasted from another part.   I understand that there are more convenient ways to copy and past features, but for my own reasons if possible I would like to do it using Pro/Program. I know that Pro/Program can read in a design "from file" which made me think that this might have been possible. Maybe it can only change existing features though and not add new ones.

We just acquired the PDF Collaboration license for 11.1 system (CPS 12). This enables PDF mark ups in Creo View. It appears as " ptc_wnc_pdf_collab_n" in license management or "Windchill PDF Collaboration" online. It was missing its group and was not recognized when we loaded it to our test server.   I saw this in the knowledge base: cs344466  cs348787    Does this mean I am s.o.l. until CPS 18+ or Windchill 12?  They seemed to classify this as an SPR oopsie, but it truly cannot work before that CPS, they should declare clearly that there is a minimum CPS required. Any one come across this before? Any chance there is a side patch so as to not have to do an entire CPS update for this feature?

I wrote and attached a basic worksheet to demonstrate what I am trying to achieve. I can get the solution by defining each part one-by-one like you will see on the attached sheet, but that is going to be too tedious on my main worksheet. A program or other built in function would be ideal.  Thanks in advance for the help.

I am getting this message - "Your account currently does not have a hosted server. Please create one by pressing the button below" -- but i am not seeing any button there so that I can start my trial server.
