I have assemblies with many versions of an assembly in one large file. Is it possible to use a list of part numbers in an excel sheet to activate/select the parts needed to create a simplified rep. All of the parts exist in the assembly, it is just time consuming searching through the model tree trying to find the 50 to 100 parts I need out of the thousand or so parts in the top assembly. I have used excel in the past to calculate values to build shafts from so I can do the interface part, I just need it as an advanced "selection" tool. The existing method of picking parts to create a rep are limited. Thanks for any help, Gary-

I recently had another ticket that got me connected to the java hosted trial but now I am getting this error associated with the ThingName I am creating. com.thingworx.common.exceptions.GenericHTTPException: Entity ExampleThing_1 does not exist or is not yet associated with a Thing   Here is the line that creates the ThingName. private static String ThingName = "ExampleThing_1";   What am I doing wrong here?

Is there a way to create an annotation feature using a driven dimension?Apparently the function ProAnnotationfeatCreate() and ProAnnotationfeatElementAdd() only allow to add an annotation element to an annotation feature. A driven dimension annotation is not an annotation element and I don't see a function to convert it into one. So how does one create an annotation feature using a driven dimension?

Hello I have a system user that needs to create pragmatically things based on template "MYTemplate"   I gave visibility and service exec permission to EntityServices->CreateThing I gave permission to Create on "things collection" the User has also visibility to all things based on MYTemplate (it is set visibility at template level)   That user can run the service CreateThing, no errors like serviceinvoke or not allowed to Create ... but I get the error JavaException: java.lang.NullPointerException: null at the CreateThing call. NOTE that the thing was created however !   I solve only if I give to User the visibility permission to all the "things collection", seems the permission only on the template is not enough for creating things.   It seems like if for an instant the Service creates the thing, but he can't see it after all , because it still don't know that is based on the MYTemplate that instead makes it visible to that user. &n

Hello,    I have setup the andriod studio and followed the steps as per link below https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Getting-Started-with-Vuforia-for-Android-Development   result directly        and imported the project updated as shown below             but never found a directory called libs in the folder structure.       Result is this,    not able to set up a sample project, I am a mechanical engineer so may not have a complete background of android studio and other stuff.   please someone guide me out to setup the sample application and make a new application in android studio and publish (Demo)

HI,    I have developed an vuforia project with a 3D model and animation but when it comes to deployment it required vuforia view all the time, but I would like to make this as a sperate Android applciation. could you please someone explain me how to import all vuforia finished stuff into android studio to build an APK.

Hello everyone,   today i discovered a little problem. When i tried to save a part to JPEG file, it apeared that it has purple gradient in the picture even though i have my background set to pure white color. I have also discovered that it only appear when i set my resolution to anything higher that 100 DPI, everything higher what 100 DPI will include the gradient colors in the picture.   Thanks in advance.

Hi gurus,   May I know if 3D model files with photorealistic rendering can retain their rendering upon importing into Vuforia Studio? I have a customer who is using Keyshot to design its 3D model appearance and would like to use that 3D model (with specified 3D rendering) for AR experience development. Is this possible?

Is there a simple way to gather a list of all permission that a specific User, User Group, or Organization (or Org Unit) has been granted?  By this I'm suggesting a Service that takes a user, group, or org as input and returns a list of the Run time permissions, Design time permissions, and Visibility permissions that have been granted to that entity. The purpose of this service would be to quickly see everything a user has access to without having to manually check every entity.  This could also help diagnosing issues with permissions.   One idea to accomplish this is to loop through all entities on the platform, run the "Get permissions for user/group/org" services against each one, and return the list of all permissions.  I know this isn't impossible, but it also doesn't seem efficient.  However, I can't think of any other way to do this.  Ideas or insight?

It has been a while since I had to rehost my production machine to a test server, but I recently upgraded to 10.2 and would like my test server to reflect the 10.2 production server so that I have a fresh start. I would like to use the Rehost 2.0 tool to help me since I do not want to go through a manual rehost. I do have Solr turned on, some customization and connect to our corporate LDAP. I have an app server and a database server in production and am moving to the same on two virtual servers. I am currently stuck on step 3 of the java SDK tutorial. The java code can't connect to the hosted trial server. I have tried many different things but it should be pretty straight forward. What am I doing wrong. I have followed the instructions exactly.   Hi,   I had ThingWorx version 7.2 with which my dot net sdk working. Now since i updated to ThingWorx 9 the same sdk fails. Is their anything specific i need to look in.     Hi  I had upgraded to ThingWorx 9. I have imported entities from older ThingWorx 7.2. Now when i opened Mashup in Composer it keeps on loading with Warning Message that Mashup has deprecated widgets. I can upgrade them. Initially i did not want to that, so i cancelled the upgrade. Mashup keeps on loading forever. Then next time i did upgrade, i can see widget list upgraded with new widgets but still Mashup screen keeps on loading and never opens up.   Note: I was able to open other Mashups.   Any pointers on what i can look into for more information. I do not see any specific error in Application log.   I was using Label/Text Box/ Check Box/ Radio button on that page.   Regards Vaibhav
