My issue is similar to this thread, however I have followed the documentation I believe: https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Issues-installing-Analytics-Setup-ERLANG-HOME/m-p/655100   I have Thingworx Foundation installed, now I need to install Analytics.   Analytics installation fails. Specifically, "ERLANG_HOME system environment variable is not set correctly. Set ERLANG_HOME to point to where Erlang software is located, for example, C:\Program Files\erl10.0"   I do have installed Erlang and set the environment variable for the system. The installation of Analytics still fails. Possibly relevant: I have not yet installed Analytics Server, as I don't think that is required.   To troubleshoot this issue I have done the following: I have set the environment variable to C:\Program Files\erl10.0\ C:\Program Files\erl10.0 C:\Program Files\erl10.0\bin\ C:\Program Files\erl10.0\bin   I have uninstalled and reinstalled Erlang.  I have tried ver

I want to highlight a datum plane or datum axis in my model by selecting them from the model tree. They do not show in the model when selected from the tree unless I unhide/show all the datum planes/axes. Is there a setting that can be changed so that datums become highlighted when clicking on them from the model tree?   Many thanks, David

Hi,   I have a edge device where ems/lua is running in a docker container. The edge device is a gateway, what mean other devices are connected to the edge device. EMS is quite normally connected with thingworx. On Thingworx I will add new devices (what mean I will update the config.json) via code. To do this I will use the REST Services that EMS supports ( http://support.ptc.com/help/edge_microserver/r5.4.7/en/index.html#page/edge_microserver%2Fc_ems_wsems_rest_api_details.html%23 ). I test the REST-Calls via curl on the console where EMS is running (in the docker container). In most case of the calls I get error codes back. For example this call   curl -d '{name:EMSBox__DARI}' http://localhost:8000/Thingworx/Things/LocalEms/Services/Restart -v   gives me a 403 Forbidden (note: EMSBox__DARI is my thing based on RemoteThingWithTunnelsAndFileTransfer which is connected to EMS). Other calls like   curl -d '{name:EMSBox__DARI}' http://localhost:8000/Thingworx/Thing

Hey,   What I am reporting used to work and within the space of roughly 1-3 weeks it no longer works.   I ran though the Fundamentals of AR Development course in PTC University and managed to complete the IoT Robot Arm Repair Project. The Project worked nicely where it was pulling IoT data from the RoboArm1 Thing on the ThingWorx Platform. For some reason now, the 3D gauge never updates with new values... Even though the service configuration is correct, see below     Any help please? Did the Vuforia Studio update affect this? 

Hi,   I have a quick query to be asked, I am creating a condition statement or a if/else condition dynamically and this statement is being stored in a property for testing purpose. I wanted to know how to use the expression stored inside the property for the if/else conditions because if I use the property directly it is evaluating if there is a value in the property and returning always true. But I want the condition inside the property to be evaluated. Is there any solution for this purpose to use the dynamically created expressions as it is required?   Thanks in advance    With Regards,  Srijith

Greetings,  I am not able to do a simple GetJSON "Content Loader Function" for a service. It shows    Input:       var params = { url: "https://<Domain>/<call>", }; var result = Resources["ContentLoaderFunctions"].LoadJSON(params);     Output was marked as a JSON output.   OutPut:  Error executing service <servicename> : Message :: <RequestedDomain> - See Script Error Log for more details.   When I ping the same url in a browser I am able to get a JSON reply with Status Code 200 But when I try the same with thingworx service it is showing Status Code 500 in the inspect Window   Anyhelp on this would be very much appreciated..   Thank you Regards Viswa

Hello,   I have created a new KPI for the assets following the documentation available at https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_apps/r8.5/en/#page/thingworx_apps%2FThingWorxAppsCust%2Fcreating_additional_kpis.html and the new KPI is being calculated correctly periodically.   Now I'm trying to add the new KPI as a new column in the Production KPIs mashup: -I added the required fields to both PTC.Factory.PlantStatusTreeDataShape and PTC.Factory.EquipmentStatusTreeDataShape. -I updated the service PopulateProductionKPIsTreeGrid from PTC.Factory.PlatStatusUtils to include the new KPI.   When I access "Configure Grid Columns" of "treegridadvanced-plantnetwork" from the PTC.Factory.PlantStatus mashup, the column with the name newkpi_displaycirclehtml is not available even if it's included in the DataShape.   Could you please provide me with the detailed instructions to show a new KPI in the "Production KPIs" mashup?   Could you please tell me wh

Hi,   Via MQTT the property "Speedometer" gets every 10 seconds a new value which is in json format. All the other properties have a subsciption to the "Speedometer" property and so they change their values every 10 seconds too.   When I run the Service QueryPropertyHistory no values are displayed. The Thing and its template have a Value Stream and all the properties are persistent and logged. 

I have used ExportSourceControlledEntitiesToZipFile method to Export Project Data to Zip file in Folder.    I am getting below error if I try to open that folder also.

Hello!   May I ask why constants work in ThingWorx differently than in normal JavaScript? Example:      let i = 5; while (i > 0) { const a = i; logger.warn(a); i--; }     In log we will see:     5 5 5 5 5     In any normal JS code runner such as Codepen we will see in console log:     5 4 3 2 1     As far as I understand, such a script execution violates the basic ideology of constants in JavaScript - 'const' is initialized and exists only in the block (loop) scope.   The same behaviour in 'for' loop. 'const' works correctly only in functions like 'map', 'forEach'.   Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone,   I have created a Mashup that should be accessed via mobile. Unfortunately the resolution is too high, so the mashup looks something like this:   Now I know one could use static Mashups and so on, but what I found out is, that if you display the very same mashup in the VuforiaView App in a Webview it looks like this:     Which is exactly the way I want it to be. So there must be a mechanism which displays the mashup in a way the View App does it.   Does anybody know what to do in order to display the mashup the same way in a browser like e.g chrome (on mobile!)?   In our case it is not suitable to use the ViewApp...Any help is appreciated very much.   Best Regards, Dominik

The expression and validation become  a setting in the Function panel since 8.4.  However the debug info only display the display name of expression/validation , like UIexpression-59  instead of the name I created for expression/validation.    Where can I find the display name ?    Regards, Sean    

Hi all,    In my mashup I'm using the collection widget as a sort of table. There are allot of items in my collection, so in my chrome browser I can scroll through the items like you would in a table.    On mobile I tried to open the mashup, and everything loads perfectly, but I can't scroll down. We have tested it on multiple Android devices in the Chrome browser, but it won't work. We have also tried the firefox mobile browser, there scrolling is possible, but the clickevent on a line is not possible + Firefox runs the mashup super slow.    I made the mashup in ThingWorx 8.4. The devices from the customer are all Android, so it really should work on an Android phone.    Does anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this?   Kind regards,    Jasper    

A request from a customer: It would be very helpful if a user can access to a contact list similar to the mobile app. So the Host is able to call a contact directly instead of using email or sharing the session ID (connect code URL) via 3rd party app like a desktop messenger.   Thanks in advance   Cheers Marco
