Hi   I have a doubt regarding Thing Templates, when I am using a thing template inside a mashup I am not able to get my custom services. But if I am using the thing templates by ticking the dynamic box then I am able to get my custom services. While using the custom services from the dynamic templates they are not working as written.   I would like to know the exact reason.   Thank You and Regards Srijith

Dear everyone,   we are currently making our first steps with ThingWorx as an organization. We have version 8.5.0 of ThingWorx SCP Premium including Foundation, Asset Advisor, Connectivity and Application Building. So far we created some small applications via Mashups and we use the FactoryConsole as central entry point to our system (we added all custom apps also to the FactoryConsole).    We are facing massive challenges when it comes to efficient management of users, roles and permission, though. The system seems very complicated, especially when you want to change permissions for already created mashups etc, because permission settings are not inherited by a project or whatever (do I really need to change settings on each and every thing inside a project?!).   Basically, we only need two different user groups: one being the group of "Developers" that have access to the Composer and to everything else, except user and permissions management which is done by the A

Hi, I recently installed Thingworx Flow 8.5.0 on an EC2 instance (Red Hat) with the given installation-routine. If you want to enable https you have to type in a domain name during the installation which is then used when you access the platform.   Is there a way to use Thingworx Flow without a static domain/ip. Because the EC2 instance changes its public IP if restarted and then it's not usable anymore. I know that you can create a static IP for an EC2 instance, but that wouldn't help my use case here.

Hi,   We are using 'SetConfigurationTable' service to update the database configuration (connection url, username and password). After executing the service, I am able to see the updated values in "Configuration" tab, but it does not update the "isConnected" to true. And therefore we cannot invoke anything in the database.   The 'password' is set as string (non-encrypted), does this need to be encrypted before setting it? In that case, how to encrypt this value?   I also tried invoking "SaveConfigurationTables" and "RestartThing" services after "SetConfigurationTable", but that didn't make any difference. Please suggest a working solution.

Hi,I have met an issue of lookback data in Analytics.Now I have a time series TTF data, and trained a model with lookbacksize of 16.And I mapped input features with nasaTTF_inputThing, with Value Stream configured.Then I updated the nasaTTF_inputThing to trigger the Analytics Event.You can see that all features are updated in the same moment.But the Analysis Job shows that for the input data, 15 of 16 records are from same row, only last record is from previous row of Value Stream.My understanding is that the so called lookback (with size 16) data should be coming from the previous 16 records of the Value Stream of nasaTTF_inputThing.This issue makes time series prediction failed.Can you please help to check - is there anything I missed or configured wrong?Thanks a lot!

Hello Experts,   I have 3 SQL queries- services as follows, each of them returns separate infotable containing different number of columns (See attachments). I have configured a list widget to populate the list of these services and I want to execute selected service when selection is changed in list.   To achieve this I am trying to write a java script service, but I am facing a issue since each of above services has their specific datashape as per their result. Could anyone helpout me to write this service to dynamically update the datashape of this java script as per the services which are being called by it or selected by list widget   Just for info, I am quite new to JS, so expecting your reply accordingly.     Thanks; GS

I'm unable to create a connection between KepServerEX V6.7 and Thingworx v8.5, both running locally on the same machine.   I have tried the recommended troubleshooting to no avail: 1.Verify that the host, port, resource, and application key are all valid and correct. Confirmed. 2.Verify that the host machine can reach the Composer on the ThingWorx Platform. Confirmed. 3.Verify that the proper certificate settings are enabled if using a self- signed certificate or no encryption. Confirmed.   The KepServer logs give me the following error: TW SSL_VERSION: Error tls runtime version: OpenSSL 1.0.2s-1 28 May 2019, does not match compiled version: OpenSSL 1.0.2j-3 26 Sep 2016   For background, I am using the 'org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11AprProtocol' protocol.

Hi All   I have a list of items in my mashup and a Time-Series Chart, i wish to achieve the following use-case On selecting an option from the list, the chart should change values accordingly. For eg If there are 3 list items in a list, for every item there should a time series chart and upon selecting that option, chart corresponding to that list item should display Same use-case I would want to achieve with a Progress Gauge   Regards Ketan

In the attached screenshot,you can see String name,style definition for that particular string names which are configured in State definition.In this both String name,style definition are predefined.I am using this State definition in pie chart.I want to pass both string name ,style definition to State definition using service dynamically.Is it possible using thingworx ?If so,can you attach it as a zip file to get a better picture?

Hi everyone,   I am making the configuration to communicate KEPServerEX with the Thingworx platform on my computer. I'm using:   Thingworx Free Hosted Server 30 daysKEPServerEx 6.0KEPServerEx 6.7Windows 10 Pro   First I tried to perform the communication through KEPServerEX version 6.0 and it didn't work (image below). After I tried using version 6.7 using the same settings and it worked (image below).     Is anyone able to assist me in this problem? Because I need to install version 6.0 on my client. When I try to install version 6.7, it is requested to update the 2013 CRT and as this is in a windows server 2012 I am afraid that when updating this service it may negatively impact some existing communication.
