Hi,   Suppose I have the menu in my master. The menu is like electronics, groceries, and vegetables in horizontal.  Now the question is simple. How can I get the detail of the selected menu? If I select groceries then I want to know the details of the grocery menu like  menu .linkDestination = "MainMash";menu .parentMenuId = "TotalCareMenu";menu .menuId = "TotalCareMenu_0";menu .isDefault = "true";menu .imageURL = "";menu .linkTarget = "Self";menu .description = "";menu .linkType = "Mashup";menu .title = "[[MAP]]";Thank you. 

Hi All, Based on selection of combobox, have to filter data. For that i wrote sql query as:              SELECT col1  FROM table where col1 in ([[CheckInfo]])         Input :- CheckInfo='value1','value2' But filter is not happening But if i give Input as :- CheckInfo='value1'  It fetching data. For some reason, the performance charts do not reflect the asset status history anymore.   The expressions for the asset are set programatically during asset provisioning as follows:   Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_Running = "\"" + UserInputSerialNumber + ":AssetStatus\"=2";Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_NotConfigured = "false";Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_Unavailable = "true";Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_PlannedDowntime = "\"" + UserInputSerialNumber + ":AssetStatus\"=4";Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_UnplannedDowntime = "\"" + UserInputSerialNumber + ":AssetStatus\"=3";Things[UserInputSerialNumber].EXP_E_Unavailable = "\"" + UserInputSerialNumber + ":AssetStatus\"=5";   When the property "AssetStatus" is updated, the property "statusTimestamp" is also updated with the current datetime.   Am I missing something? 

Hello, I am trying to follow the full example in this link: https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/guides/thingworx-foundation-quickstart   It is very useful but I have a question: Why during creating the THING TEMPLATE we selected the MeterShape to be used in the implemented Shapes,  while during creating the THING we selected the ThermostatShape to be used in the implemented shapes? Can we use all for both? or can we switch? what is the reason to sleect one or more?   Also, why not all the shapes are visuallized under the Thing Shapes on the left under the "Unassigned"?   Thanks,Ahmed 

Hello,   I have a customer using Thingworx 8.5 on Linux with Postgres and using a temporary license, They can create things using the composer, no issues, but whenever they try to create a thing using the REST API, they get an error saying that "LICENSE IS NOT INSTALLED", as you can see attached,   Please, any ideas? All..   I have a stream with data coming in. I'd like to create or use a service to update stream entries.    End goal would be for the service to have 3 inputs (start,end,tag) so the service would add the "tag" tag to all entries between "start" datetime and "end" datetime.   I see the built in "UpdateStreamEntry" so I suppose I could query all stream entries between the two datetimes, and then loop through that entire query result calling UpdateStreamEntry each time.   However, I'd like to know if there is already a pre-built function to do this?   Thanks

Good day All,   I am trying to provide non-administrative user permission to view the Application and Script log in Thingworx 8.4.7. This is similar to this case:  https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Monitor-Log-Access-in-7-1/td-p/520204   However, in the new composer the System - Logs are not available anymore to change the permissions.   How do I go about doing this in the new composer?   Thanks, Johan Bester

I've upgraded Thingworx from 8.4 to 8.5 and realized that tooltip feature has gone from the most widgets where it was available.  I need a widget which shows different pictures (actually icons) are set dynamically, and dynamic tooltip (a string from some service), which I can format (at least set style). Before I used ValueDisplay, but it's new implementation does not allow it anymore. Widgets ptcsimage/ptcsicon don't have tooltip neither. I've found it only in Gauge, but I don't need a needle. Could you advise a widget if such exists, or it will be fixed?

I am getting an issue saying 'for each is only available in Mozilla JavaScript extensions (use moz option)'. I am trying to add rows to my infotable using data being pulled in from a JSON file.    Is there another way to do this? Thanks!

Is there anyway to input a custom symbol into notes in a model? I can get a standard symbol to work (Standard1) but I cannot get a custom one to work using the &sym(Symbol_name) command.  

Hi,     What is the best way to open a popup window only if a condition is true? I would like to open a popup only if a record is selected from a grid. My initial shot was keep the MashupName parameter empty on the Navigator and setup if the condition on the Validator is True, but I don't know how to create a MashupName object to be returned from the Validator.

Hi guys, I've a question regarding Value Stream transaction. My platform is 8.5. Now I have a Thing, which has 20 attributes and a Value Stream assigned for it. I wrote a service to read data from a Data Table and to update all these 20 attributs in the same time. After running service, I found 10 attributes are updated in one record of Value Stream, and the other 10 attributs are updated in another record of Value Stream. But I need to make sure all 20 attrubuts are updated in the same record of the Value Stream, I need this information for Analytics. Do we have some kind of transaction mechanism of Value Stream? Or any other way to make sure the timestamp are same? Thanks a lot!

I understand only surfaces are supported windows device for Vuforia view app. http://support.ptc.com/help/vuforia/studio/en/#page/Studio_Help_Center%2Fcommon%2FViewSupportedReq.html%23   What is reason for limited devices? Does Vuforia view require specific hardware in Surface or just matter of PTC has not tested for other devices? Can we still run on non-recommended hardware?   There is customer requirement for heavy-duty windows tablet. Will PTC increase number of supported devices?

Hello, I would like to display alarm and warning limits on both ends. Meaning i should display Alarm >80 and also < 10 Warning >60 and also <30 And value between 30 and 60 is normal   How should i set my state definition to achieve the same and if cannot achieve through gauge widget then what is the ideal work around to achieve the same.   Attached image for reference.

Hi   I have a doubt regarding Thing Templates, when I am using a thing template inside a mashup I am not able to get my custom services. But if I am using the thing templates by ticking the dynamic box then I am able to get my custom services. While using the custom services from the dynamic templates they are not working as written.   I would like to know the exact reason.   Thank You and Regards Srijith

Dear everyone,   we are currently making our first steps with ThingWorx as an organization. We have version 8.5.0 of ThingWorx SCP Premium including Foundation, Asset Advisor, Connectivity and Application Building. So far we created some small applications via Mashups and we use the FactoryConsole as central entry point to our system (we added all custom apps also to the FactoryConsole).    We are facing massive challenges when it comes to efficient management of users, roles and permission, though. The system seems very complicated, especially when you want to change permissions for already created mashups etc, because permission settings are not inherited by a project or whatever (do I really need to change settings on each and every thing inside a project?!).   Basically, we only need two different user groups: one being the group of "Developers" that have access to the Composer and to everything else, except user and permissions management which is done by the A
