Using Creo Parametric 5 as a standalone, is there a way I can customise what details are shown at the top of the screen. Is it driven by parameters?   In the past when we used pro intralink, this would show the revision, version and release level using PDMDB/REV/RL. (see screenshot).   I looked all through the config options but couldn't see anything that controls this display.   Any help welcome!

Hello,   I use the auto exploded in Creo to explode my assembly. However, the result is very weird like the photo attached. Does anyone know the reason? In addition, what is the principle of  the auto exploded in Creo? (I guess maybe it relies on the relation between the parts,but I am not sure... ) Thank you for your help!

I am sure there is a simple solution to my question.... give the attached file, I am trying to compute the radiant energy from a fire to a target (using the point source method) and wish to turn the 2D plot into a 3D plot as a function of distance and angle from the fire.  Meaning, if the fire is at coordinates 0,0, I am trying to figure out the commands for placing the target from 1 m to a given distance (in this case 121m) from the fire in any direction along the x,y coordinates and then plot in 3D.... I am sure its easy, but this rookie can't figure it out... Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi , I installed a ThingWorx testing environment in a virtual machine. I have about 100 Things in my system.  Recently the performance of Composer become very slow when I do any operation, especially for opening a mashup .    Checking the Tomcat's monitor (http://localhost:8080/manager/status) , I noticed that lots of irrelevant requests when I open a entity(mashup, data table, or a thing). Hi All,   I'm trying to change the order that the parameters are listed when a user creates a new part, from a template, in the new file options window. At the moment, the parameters are listed in alphabetical order, can I choose the order for these, without resorting to adding 1_, 2_ etc to the parameters?   This is on Creo 6.0.1.0.    Thanks in advance.

Hi,   I have recently locally installed the Vuforia Experience Service. At no point in the installation was a licensing file requested. I am now wondering how AR Experiences are licensed.   Question 1: Is there only licensing for Vuforia Studio and not the Vuforia Experience Service? Question 2: How is the licensing for Vuforia Studio related to Thingworx (currently all admin users in the Vuforia Experience Service Thingworx are able to publish experiences)   In general terms, we are unclear on if the licensing depends on the number of published experiences, the number of publishing users or at the installation level of the Vuforia Experience Service (or some combination!). Any explanation would be valued.   All the best!

I recently switched to Creo 6 and I am running into a problem of the ribbon customization's reverting back to default upon reopening Creo. It also keeps giving me the "New to Creo Parametric?" popup window. Config.pro in both locations don't seem to have any effect on it. 

Hello to all,   I'm trying to configure AFX to use profiles already uploaded to Windchill. I have created custome profiles that I can use if they are in my library folders, but once I upload them to Windchill, and delete the parts from my library folder, AFX can't find them in Windchill.   I have uploaded the profiles to Windchill:   I have "sel_list..txt" pointing at them:   And when I try to assemble a profile instance in the project using these profiles, I get the error message "An error occurred while loading the model":   I have tried with the AFX "options.cfg" properties suggested in this article https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS256023: "FOR_INTRALINK_33 to YES" "LOAD_COPY_COMPONENTS_FROM_INTRALINK to YES" But it still doesn't work.   What am I doing wrong? Is is possible to use profiles from Windchill? Where can I find a guide to configure AFX to be used with profiles from Windchill?   Thank you for your help!

Hi,   I notice that adding a footer to my 2D overlay has a default white background and im wondering if anyone has a tip for removing/changing it? Ive tried to use css to set it by giving the footer a class but this does not seem to work.    Any tips are appreciated, thank you.

Hi - I need some help with retrieving a proof of concept that was built on the trial version. The license for the trial has since expired and I am unable to login and extract the files. Is there a way to extract the solution that was built or a possibility for a temp license that I could use to get the files?

Hi,   I've connected Creo Illustrate 6.0 to Windchill using direct connection (WGM is no longer supported). I can open files from Windchill and create new figures, but I cannot find a way to save the resulting illustrations back to Windchill. When I try to publish to Windchill location I'm getting "Publishing to a server location is not supported" error message.   What is the best way to save the illustrations (cgm, pvz and png) back to Windchill? Ideally I would like to maintain the tractability to original part using describe link as well.   Thank you, Marcin Gorecki

Hello, I'm newbie on Thingworx technilogie and after doing the guides am trying now to develop my first application. Hi   Has anyone had any experience implementing the "ThingWorx With Dynamics 365 Field Service" extension?  When I try to import the extension it reports the error "Unable to process import: Validation Failure: ThingShape ConnectedDynamics.ThingShape Had An Invalid DataShape [AR.ExperienceDataShape] assigned to property [AR_Experience]" when importing the extension.   Has anyone found an easy fix to this problem? If the extension is indeed broken, is there any other means of setting up a simple proof-of-concept integration into Dynamics 365?  

Hi, I have a UI in which I have a combo box having 19 mashup names and a browse widget in which I wanted to browse the image from pc and once I selected the image, when I click on apply button I want the selected image to be set as mashup background style for selected mashup from combo.   The basic idea is to make the background of mashup as configurable.   Please give some idea on how I can achieve this.   Thanks, Shalini V.

Hi Team,   I am creating a Time-Series chart which is getting data from a service that is fetching telemetry & corresponding timestamp from a database every 10 seconds. All the values are Logged & Persistant. My question is that i am not able to show the Timestamp that is coming from the database in the time series chart. Only the current timestamp is being plotted that seems to be coming from Value Stream. Can you please help me solving this issue.

Hello. I'm evaluating ThingWorx and trying to import a bunch of Kepserver PLC devices into ThingWorx. Hundreds of tags via. OPC UA and the default must be to log the parameters. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way on how to ensure all added parameters are logged. What's the best way in doing so, could I do a simple API call, perhaps set a default setting on a ThingTemplate, or programatically go through the properties setting the value?   I tried the following script but it won't work for me.  Error executing service SetAllPropertiesLogged. Message :: Property [IndustrialThing] does not exist Anything I logger.debug() doesn't go to the ScriptLog making my developer experience very frustrating.

Is there a way to parametrically put the pattern multiplier inside of a dimension? I know about using the hole note to show the multiplier, but that doesn't allow you to attach a feature control frame to the note.  It also doesn't allow you to select your semantic references. I am using Creo 4.0 

Our company is very new to PTC Creo and we are investigating into some automation/customization (1) Is it possible to extract termination table (also wire list) to Excel with Terminal, Seal, and Plug P/N with Java? If yes, please point me to some suggestion   (2) Will it require more than free Jlink license?

Hi, I am using export button to export data in a grid but when we open the excel sheet the columns are not aligned equally. Few rows are left alligned and few rows are right aligned. How can I prevent this scenario? Also the column values are interchanged in some rows. Please provide some solution for this.   Thanks, Shalini V.
