Hi, i am trying to use anomaly detection with the alert system on a Thing that is created from a generic thing. The sensor readings are coming in via REST and i can plot a time series chart on the mashup. However after i tried using the anomaly detection alert in the new composer platform, it shows initialization failed.   Is this because i am using a Generic thing instead of Remote Thing as mentioned in tutorials?? I am still a student so i do not have access/ connection to industrial software like kepserverex to connect to. I assume it can work since i can access the functionality on the new composer.

I didn't see anything on the resource for reporting page.   I have a few attributes in PDMLink with the type Real Number.  I want them in a report but the results truncate the values.  If the value is 0.092 the report shows a zero (0).  If the value is 3.55 the report shows 3.  Is there any way to specify to show a certain amount of digits?  I am using CAD Document.  Not EPM Document or WTPart.   The funny part of this is I saved the report and created a New Data Monitor to export to .csv.  That actually shows the correct values using scientific notation.  At least it's correct.  But I want the correct values in the report as well.

Looking for ideas here: The requirement is to display some dashboards (with auto refresh widget) on TV screens and no user interaction is expected once setup. Need to automatically login the user and should survive Thingworx restarts.   I have developed a custom authenticator that automatically logs in a user depending on custom parameters passed in the initial URL which is a REST GET URL like http://server:port/Thingworx/Mashups/MyMashup?myCustomParam=<value of interest>   Although this works for the initial login, the page gets redirected to an URL with anchor tag of the format - http://server:port/Thingworx/Runtime/index.html#....MyMashup...   If the Thingworx server restarts, there is a prompt for login as the redirected URL has a anchor tag and the request is trimmed off at the '#' and the authenticator does not receive the originally params that are used for automatic login.   How can I overcome this issue? I have a main mashup with contained mashup with footer showing bunch of icons representing mashups (using collection widget). Based on the icon selection on this menu I can navigate to different mashups in that contained mashup area.   One of the mashup shown in contained mashup area has a Navigation button. I am looking to navigate the user to a different mashup instead of showing a pop or modal popup. Though when using the replace window option, the new mashup completely replaces the current view, including the footer and thus loosing the foot completely.   Is there an efficient way to replace the mashup only in that contained mashup area instead of navigating completely away from the current mashup.   Thanks.

Hello everybody,   I have a manufacturing process with different stages. In order to have a specific screen for every single stage, I am using Tabs Widget. This way, I have one tab per stage (e.g. Mixing, Cutting, etc)   I want to link information of a Data Table into Text Areas. Is there any way of fixing the value of Selected Row as the name of the tab?   This would mean that if I click in the tab "Mixing", the service will select "Mixing" as Selected Row (There is a column in the Data Table called Stages with this name and it is the Key Field) and give back the rest of values of this row.   Thank you very much   Sincerely    Rodrigo Avilés  

Is there a way to prevent Creo from always creating an extra top assembly level when opening a Step file? Even when I export naively to stp from Creo when I import it back in it adds a higher assembly level. Anyone know why it does this? I find it very irritating.

HI, I am trying to switch between different sequences using JS. I have created a .pvz file from Creo Illustrate with a couple different animations. I read somewhere in this community that I should copy the file, rename it to .zip and extract it to display the .pvi names. However it dont know how to make that work, I dont get a proper .zip file with that method.  This JS I use, its binded to the model $scope.view.wdg['robot-arm']['sequence'] = 'middle_servo_disassembly'; I have named my sequences in Creo Illustrate, is there some way I can use those names?   thank you 

Has anyone else noticed a recent change in how authentication works? Up until about 2 weeks ago, I was able to add users with the "PTC Authentication" tag, and they were able to log into the Experience server using their usual PTC credentials. However, recently that seems to have stopped working. When users try to log in with their PTC credentials, they don't work on the Experience server any more. I've had to go in and change multiple users to have an explicit password instead of the PTC Authentication mechanism.As the "owner"/admin of the Experience server, I'm still able to use my PTC credentials (thankfully, otherwise I wouldn't be able to fix these other accounts!).   The PTC Authentication was convenient. Was this an intentional change? If not, any guess when it might get fixed? @tmccombie or anyone else from PTC have any information on this?

Again, since the latest Creo 4.0 M090 upgrade, the system is not reading or recognizing the print.pcf file. I have the printer specific .pcf file that I have used for years for my HP CP2025 Color Laserjet. Now when printing the geometry lines and format/title block lines print heavy (obscuring small details) and all dimensions and text are in fine lines. I have checked the config.pro to make sure everything is pointing to the correct places. I even took the .pnt file and set all lines to 1 without any change. We also have a Toshiba E-Studio 167 with it's own .pcf file and . pnt file it has the same problem. Any ideas as to the problem?

Hi all,   I have a query where one of the columns I'm selected is named "Value", so in my query it appears as:SELECT .... PM.Value   It appears as if ThingWorx/SQL is treating this as a reserved keyword of some sort, nothing I do will allow me to have the word "Value" in SELECT statement. It always fails and returns the error: Unable to Invoke Service <ServiceName> on <ThingName> : The connection is closed.   I have tried aliasing the column name: PM.Value [Othername] PM.Value AS [Othername]   I have tried creating an input parameter string, setting it to "[Value]" and then putting it into my SQL statement as <<inputparam>>.   Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio handles the query completely fine, no issues at all.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

A question regarding mathcad's use of units and one regarding the result of a calculation:   1.  at the bottom of page two, is there a way to delete the extraneous unit conversions (1/m * m * 1/ft * ft)?   2.  in the final calculation on page 4, i would like to have mathcad show the result of each of increment calculations (one value for each value of delta sigma v_i) and then i can add a summation function to obtain the final result shown (0.901 in.   any assistance would be appreciated.

May I know where I can find the JavaScript code (ide.js and runtime.js) for ThingWorx widgets? User wants to create a document and specify a review date.  The workflow needs to send out an email 60 days before the review date and the day of the review date.  The catch is that the review date may change after the document is created.  I tried using a timer to wait 5 minutes and then called a java method we wrote to see if the date had changed but that was overloading the workflow manager because of the volume of active documents.  I could drop the timer and implement a java loop until the appropriate date but there are concerns this would move the pressure to the method server.  Is it possible to send emails based on a date attribute that can change without pressure to the system?
