Hello all   I remember to have had similar issue in Creo Simulate 2.0 and now I see it also in Simulate 4.0. It usually happens in large deformation with contact.   I have an assembly (very similar to a crank slider mechanism) with parts in contact but not with initial interference. Global interference analysis in the assembly confirms this.   There is no imposed initial load/displacement or preload at zero load step. The mesh in the contact areas is not coarse and meshing does not present any warning.   Even if “Press fit” is unchecked it still finds an initial contact area!   To make thinks more difficult sometimes the same model with slightly different assembly (slider in another position for example) shows indeed no contact at zero load and the simulation goes directly to the next step.   The point is that if the simulation presents this characteristic it usually takes considerably more time to finish and is more prone to have convergence probl

Anyone know what N+1, N+2, etc is supposed to mean in the Hardware Support document? It's all over, but there is no definition that I can find... even when you click the hyperlink.   Thanks!

I have an assembly and I've assigned some parts of the assembly as 'model items'.   I'd like to have a Select (drop down) widget display a list of these 'model items' and bind the drop down to their visibility property so that only the part selected in the list is displayed.   Can someone advise if this is possible and point me in the direction of how to achieve it please?

After upgrading from Creo 2 to 4 in our company, we are facing a lag problem in the computers in which when trying to pan, zoom or edit a big drawing it gets a few seconds for the computer to start answering to the command. After these initial seconds, when holding the mouse, Creo responds normaly, but after every release of the mouse button and start of a new click, the slowdown repeats ... we already tried several config options from the support and different computer environments (low-end, high-end computers, driver updated or not), the same problem persists. It doesn't happen after I select any annotation, or when I click the "zoom in" button (happens again when I deselect them). This problem didn't exist on Creo 2.   I already opened an issue for the Support, but I wanted to check if other Creo 4 users in the community had/is having the same problem.

We have a subscription to a data change event and a subscription to this event. Does the processing for the subscription of this event complete before the processing of the subscription for the subsequent event?   I think really the only clear way to ask this is through an example (I made up the names).   We have property `DOWNTIME`, we have a subscription to it's data change event called `REACT`. ---- `DOWNTIME` changes to 0 -> Starts `REACT` processing (PROC1) but does not finish. `DOWNTIME` changes to 1 -> Do we start REACT processing (PROC2) right away or do we wait for PROC1 to finish?

  In the past I was using the following function which apparently got me the matrix for a sheet.         status = prodb_drawing_sheet_info(p_draw,w_size,matrix);I was successfully using the matrix from this function to  do the following:/* cvt Screen Coors to drawing Coords */   ProPntTrfEval (LLeft_scn, matrix, LLeft_dwg);The new DrawingSheetinfoGet function does not mention the matrix.  Does anyone know which function would get me the equivalent matrix I was using?ProViewMatrixGet gets the drawing matrix of a drawing view,   is this the same matrix I was getting?This pic shows the new functi0on and its lack of matrix.Thanks for any suggestions>

Greetings, Creo 5 user here. As you may have experienced, when you import a STEP file, sometimes the original designer exported it such that the material or colors caused the exported file to contain colors on the surfaces of the part.   Is there a quick shortcut to make the entire part or assembly go to Creo's default gray without going through the material editor and editing the colors?   I'm importing more and more black-colored parts and it's difficult to discern geometry.

Hi, I'm on IM ver 10.2 and our IBM i is at 7.1. We've just begun to experiment with DDL. I was able to successfully create a new table and promote through IM. However, when I made a change to the CREATE TABLE statement and promoted it through IM, the move failed. Looking in the joblog, I see an error CPF320A "member cannot be removed". I read in this forum that IM should recognize the change in the CREATE TABLE and automatically use an ALTER TABLE to modify the existing table. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can this pie chart be possibly changed to a kind of donut chart, by Thingworx composer?I also want to draw a upper boundary in this bar chart, how? Like draw a line in 30000.0.

 have created a mashup using collection widget. I am trying to get rid of the horizontal scroll bars I tried even with an empty mashup still no luck. adjusted the width, any help is really appreciated.       

Hi, Currently I am using CREO 3.0 M140. When I select an item in the graphics window, NO mini toolbar will show up by any means. I did a lot of search but seemed no one had the same issue. if you check the screenshot of  my "CREO options" attached behind, there is only "shortcut menu", no "mini toolbar". (btw, even for the "shortcut menu", I couldn't customize anything. I cannot drag and drop icons there).   Anyone has idea to help me find the mini toolbar? Thanks a lot!   jia

Hey, I am from Germany and need some help. I am new with MathCad.   I want to calculate the insections of 2 cycles.   My Problems:   The plot of 2 variables in 1 diagram doesnt work. I tried it on the x-Axis with f(x,y) and on the y axis with x,y. No cycle is shown.   Then next problem is to subtract f(x,y) - g(x,y). Whats the Syntax? Can somebody tell me?   Is it possible to write a litte programm which calculates me the intersections or tell me the solution? I am a new user of Creo. There are some settings that I wish to save and keep, but I'm not sure how this should be done.In Environment Options there is a place to save Working Directory. I have tried on different occasions to save a different location for my Working Directory, what is the trick to getting this to stick? It stays until you get out of Creo.Also I would like to modify some of the Config.Pro options. When this gets saved where should it be saved to? There doesn't appear to be a logical place to save this.

We are currently thinking about switching from CGMS to SVGS to get our publish times down. When I created my test pdf using svgs, the items outside the bounding box in isodraw also show up in the pdf. Our editors use big models and show what they need to in the bounding box in Isodraw leaving the rest of the model outside the bounding box. With CGM's there is a isoconvert.prf file, in the editor install location, where I can specify to use the CGM VDC Extent (change 0 to 1). Then editor outputs only what is in the bounding box. PTC support says there is no optoin like this for svgs. What do other users do when using svgs?   Bryon

Hello!   Is there a way to indicate the boolean value in AR experience with the external data. For example, if I have a led like indicator and I need to turn the led color to red if the value 1 is received from industrial connectivity (OPC-UA).

Hello   There is API ProUITableColumnWidthSet() to change width of UI dialogue table. This works perfectly fine, but issue comes when we already placed input panel into table cell using API ProUITableCellComponentCopy().   In case label is set into table cell, API ProUITableColumnWidthSet() decreases width of table column , but with input panel set into table cell, API neither fail nor reduces column width.   I am using Creo 3.0 M120. Any idea or suggestion on this would be of great help.   Thanks and Regards Ketan      

Hello,   I tried to open in creo 3 M140 but few files can open.   i have attached error message.   I also tried to open in creo 3 M170 the one that cannot open in old datecode but still, not all .prt file can open. Is there any other way to open all .prt file from NX 11 to creo 3?   Thank you in advance.

Hi Community,   I tried to change a value of a thing property with http://10.128.xx.xx:8080/Thingworx/Things/Value/Properties/num&method=put&appKey=c38d0a20-d00e-403d-958a-xxxxxxxxxxx&value=100   However it seems like the Application Key does not allow me access. When I tried without the key, I get the login promt and after logging in I can see the value, but still not changed.   Do I have to somehow bind the AppKey to the Thing to get it working?   Thanks!

Hi,   I have the same error trying to use HTTPie get create a thing on ThingWorx according to "Use REST API to Access ThingWorx" guide. I get a very similar error message The server is running, I can access the composer through a web browser as normal.
