Hello Community,   yesterday I tried to do the Raspberry Pi Tutorial with my Vuforia Studio Trial-Account and so far everything worked fine beside the fact that I am not able to create an Application Key or anything else in the Thingworx Composer because I can't set my permissions to anything else than Read-Only.   Is there anyone who got the same problem and managed to solve it or just completed the Raspberry Pi Tutorial with a Trial-Account as well?   Within the composer there's already a pre-created Raspberry Pi Thing and Thing Template which have all the needed Properties but somehow the Values don't change when I run the script on my Pi.   So it's either me who does something wrong or I need the Permissions to create a new Application Key and a Thing by myself.   Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi,  I'm using thingworx analytics to predict the remaining useful life for a device , and I got the attached result.  For the case of RUL,  I would prefer Underpredicted to Overpredicted ( predictive RUL < actual RUL).    How can I tuning the super paramters of learner or maybe train data as well to make the model tends to more Underpredicted ?    Regards, Sean

Hi,        I am new to Thingworx and doing some experiments. I have subcribed a development portal of Thingworx foundation server hosted on trial (30 days) some where on the cloud. I am trying to connect this server with my Vuforia studio but when I enter the url of thingworks for experience service it says 'Failed to authorise experience server'. url of thingworks - https://pp-1902092106pa.devportal.ptc.io           Please help.    

Hi there,   I created a read-only dynamic group "Read-only Members", which must not be allowed to change or add items in a project. For the requirement document and content item I changed the item editability to: User is not member of "Read-only Members". This works only for existing items. Problem is, that the users of "Read-only Members" are still able to create a new document and create a new content item inside an existing document. How can I deny this as well for the group?   Thanks, Timo

Hi, I have a project coming up that will require to connect Manufacturing Apps with some sensors physically connected to a Raspberry PI (GPIO). Data from sensors are published to a MQTT broker (using Node-Red). I'm new with Manufacturing Apps, I would like to know which is the way to do the connection between the Manufacturing Apps and the MQTT server. I have a scenario where we need to connect to the local computer and read the same CSV file to ThingWorx repository. I was checking on File Upload widget. But in this case since the file is getting generated in a time periodic manner can not upload it manually. Could someone suggest how can we automate this process to read the CSV file from local computer to Thingworx repository !!

Hi everyone,  I am new to Mathcad and I have 4 unknowns with 4 equations, each equations contains 2 unknowns, therefore all 4 equations are interlinked. See attachment for details.  My question is: I have used the 'solve' function to solve the equations simultaneously and am expecting the answers in a [4,1] matrix. However, that is not what Mathcad produced. Why is this happening and how should I solve it.    Thanks in advance.    kuay

I've a Remote ThingTemplate with 2 logged, read-only, and remotely bound properties; one Boolean type, and the second as Number type. The ThingTemplate has a Value Stream (local) associated with it. Finally, a Remote Thing has the mentioned ThingTemplate as its base template.   I'm pushing data from my Edge device on these 2 properties every 60 secs to the Thingworx server, and I'm able to see the updated values on the Composer UI.   But, when I execute the QueryPropertyHistory service on the Remote Thing, the server returns 2 properties along with 'timestamp' as columns without any data. Even by associating the Remote Thing with my Value Stream, I was not able to get any data.   But creating a new local property (no bounding) inside the Remote Thing, changing its value manually on the Composer, and executing the QueryPropertyHistory service, the server returns proper values for the local property along with the timestamp but the other 2 remote properties were

What should one learn to implement 3D object movements using JavaScript in Vuforia Studio?

I have installed a certificate issued and signed by a trusted Certification Authority (CA) in my Tomcat 8.5.23 Ubuntu server.   I have followed these steps: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS193947 I can connect to Composer over https and over http it redirects me to https.   When I try the SteamSensorConsole app with this url: wss://aaa.bbb.com:433/Thingworx/WS I get this error: [Error] Error intializing socket connection. Err = -1 [Error] twWs_Connect: Error restarting socket. Error 0 I have tried these configurations: config.AllowSelfSignedCertificates = false; config.DisableCertValidation = true; And these: config.AllowSelfSignedCertificates = false; config.DisableCertValidation = false; Both with same results.   Do I have to configure something else? Or I have to change something in Tomcat configuration?

Can someone advise me if there is a way to change the configuration property of a thing dynamically (through a service).   My requirement is as follows :   I have a thing (Thing_1) that inherits TimerThing Template and in the Configuration tab, there is an 'Update Rate' set as 60000ms by default. Now, I need to change this configuration property dynamically from a service of another thing (Thing_2) based on the input provided to that service.   Is there any in-built service that I can use to update the configuration property dynamically ?

All,   Why am I getting bold plus/minus on some dims in my drawing, but not all? See attached.   Wayne   Please Note:   I am in drawing mode. The model is a dumb import. I am using create dimensions. One some they are bold, some not.   Ah...news flash! This is only occurring on symmetric tols.!?  

I have a new network install of Creo 4.0 m070 and I am getting 2 messages when I start up. 1) EFX failed to load 2) Exit Logger did not initialize correctly.   I have had Creo 4 m060 running on a different network since last fall and have not seen these errors on that system.    Any suggestions as to what I need to change on the setup to fix these issues.   I am not connected to Windchill, yet. Want to get a native Creo 4 running before adding the Windchill stuff.

I've been doing some testing with using iPads and Mashups and the various widgets.  I've noticed that certain user interaction doesn't work as well on the iPad as it does on a laptop.  One specific item is that when I pull up a mashup on an iPad I have to press the Button widget twice for it to respond.  Sometimes I only have to press it once.   I also noticed that using jQuery inside Expression widgets for setting focus also has different behavior.  I have found a work around for this, but not the Button widget.   Has anyone else ran into this with Thingworx mashups?  We are 8.2.1.   I appreciate the help.

When I open Creo with Windchill, and go to replace a format in Sheet Setup, I have a User Format folder listed and that is what is open to select my new format. When another user does it, he is in the System formats folder and no option on the left for user formats.   I am an admin of Windchill, and the other user is not. We have pro_format_dir set in a system wide config.pro to look in Windchill for the formats.   Any suggestions as to why a normal user cannot see these formats?   Windchill 11.0 m030 CPS06 Creo 2.0 m240

If i execute any query service it will take long to respond , Thingworx Server is Configured with postgresql,   So i need to check postgresql health checkup and do i need to run any database Maintenance service separatly?

Hello everyone, I'm doing first steps with Thingworx Trial on a hosted server. Now I'm trying to get some data over the REST API from my webapplication (JavaScript). And here I'm facing the regular problem with cross-site because the CORS is not configured. How can I activate / configure CORS on a hosted server? For regular installation with access to the filesystem I could do it with ease, since it is well documented (e.g. https://community.ptc.com/t5/IoT-Tech-Tips/Make-a-REST-call-from-a-website-to-Thingworx-platform/m-p/534384). But can it be done also with the hosted trial server?    Best regards Alex

Hi experts, I'm trying the ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps according to the guide here: https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/guides/configure-manufacturing-apps/configure-factory-simulator-data.   One of the steps is to open the DemoFactorySimulator.opf in Kepware, after this step I should see "ThingWorx Native Interface , Connected to Thingworx" in the Kepware's log console, however I see "ThingWorx Native Interface Connection to ThingWorx failed. | error = could not initialize a secure ".   My environment: OS: Windows server 2012 R2 Installation file: ThingWorx-Manufacturing-Apps-8.3.0-05.exe Both of Thingworx and ThingWorx-Manufacturing-Apps are in the same machine, IP: 192.168.152.132, port: 9080   What I have verified: http://192.168.152.132:9080/Thingworx/Composer is accessible http://192.168.152.132:9080/Thingworx/FormLogin/Welcome is accessible telnet 192.168.152.132 9080 has no error Property Editor for ThingWorx in Kepware: see the attached picture.
