Creo 3.0 M030.I am trying to edit a dimension on a drawing that is embedded in a note (or table). In Creo 2.0 if you picked the note once, then picked the dimension inside the not to highlight it, you were able to then RMB and select properties where a dialog box would come up and I could edit all the dimension properties. The ones we change most often were the decimal places and changing the dual dimension to be form top/bottom to read left/right (or side by side). Well inside Creo 3.0 with the new text editing, you do not get the option to go to the properties either by highlighting and RMB or double clicking. Nothing gives the option to change these items as before. Does anyone know how we can change these dimension in this manner without removing them from the note, making the changes in the original dimension position and then adding it back into the note.An example note would be "Move this plate down &d10 before welding". I am completing the PTC U Foundations course.   For Project 1 (the simple rover mashup), I found that I can export the Weather Rover thing and mashup using the Export option on the academic instance and import it to a local server. Then I could connect to that local instance and run the mashup and even use the Academic Simulator on my Mac to connect to the local ThingWorx server running in Windows Server 2010R2. I can't run the simulator successfully inside the VM as I report in another thread.   I want to do the same for Project 2, but I have tried to export content such as Media, Style Definitions, State Definitions etc. needed to support the created entities in the academic instance but they do not appear as new items in the local instance.   The import attempt does not report any errors, but none of the imported content appears in the browser.   I suspect there might be permissions issues that need to be resolved.   Can anyone offer a suggestion? Hi,   i use the collection widget to display informations on equipments (Assets) in mashups as a "Grid" like. i used the collection over the repeater widget because of the Data flow from single mashups back to the main mashup (and visual improvements). The source service collect all data and bind them to the single Mashups. The single Mashups self have no logic or service calls, only Mashup<-->widget bindings. But the initial loading times are incredible (for only ~20 Assets, we plan more then 300) on Desktop (we have loading times for more than 10s). So you can imagine the loading times on a portable device like Tablets or not so powerfull devices such as a Raspberry. The source service itself is very fast (around 50-250 ms with Postman, or in Composer).   i checked the performance with Chrome developer tools and found out that the rendering of the Collection Widget takes about 60% of the complete loading time. Hello,   I know that it's possible to retrieve the stepname (created in Creo Illustrate) by listening for the "stepstarted" event or with "newStep" event. But what if I like to e.g. generate a list with all the steps in the current loaded sequence, can that be done? Is it possible to read the stepname of a specific sequence step based on an index number?   Cheers, Tony

Hello everyone! This is my first post, I'm glad to be here. Let's cut to the chase.    I have created  an objective function  which has 5 variables. I gave 5 constraints. Probably a typical problem. But when i try to optimize it with the minimize function mathcad spent all night calculating it and it did not come up with anything. I am new to this, so probably missing the point 🙂 I will be thankful for any piece of advice.

Hi folks-- I'm trying to develop a Vuforia Studio experience that has access to a large number of images. Because of the large number, I don't want to include them all in the experience, I would like to load the one I want dynamically from a Thingworx FileRepository Thing.   It's set up using URL access (e.g. https://{server-host):8443/Thingworx/FileRepositories/VuforiaProcedureGraphicStore/{path-to-file}). However, it doesn't seem to recognize the defined "anonymous Vuforia user", es-public-access. When I try to load a graphic via URL from the FileRepository, it prompts me to log in.   I have set visibility of the FileRepository thing for es-public-access-org (which contains the es-public-access user), and set read, write, and execute permission for the es-public-access user on all properties and services on the thing. But I still can't access it without getting a login prompt.   Can someone tell me how to configure this so that the AR experience can access the fil

Hi Folks,today I would like to start a short discussion about Family Table models (standard parts) used in Windchill.What is your experience? Do you use Family Table models for standard parts in Windchill? ... or do you use only separated objects (one model per one material number)?I do not want to speak about 5 instances in Generic models - I mean >> from 200 to 500 instances per one Generic part  - For example Screw with Hexagon head.How to manage this huge Generic model and how to add new instance, set state for new object and update existing parts in different workspaces.I waiting for your positive or negative answers.Thanks for your comments and ideas.Best Regards,Vladimir

I am trying to create a search window (text input + button) that is centered on the screen (e.g. google.com) in Thingworx 8.3.   The issue is that in order to use the button and text input widgets, I need to use a static mashup which by definition will not be able to center objects relative to the user´s screen.   One approach that could work would be to place the static mashup inside a mashup container. By default the mashup then ends up in the top left corner of the screen. Is there anyone out there who would have an idea of how to make the mashup appear in the center of the screen - for example by binding CSS to the container widget? Or is there a better way of achieving what I want?   Many thanks Erik

Hallo,   i have a Formula to calculate the elastic plastic transition diameter for autofrettage:   Dp is the elastic plastic diameter. The problem is i need to plement the calculation for DP into microsoft excel. I need a formula to directly calculate DP. Now im using the solve function in excel but the solver is not trustable and does not give always a result where a result is calculateable.   Is there a way to transform the equation so that DP=..... for microsoft excel?   Transforming gives this block in Mathcad   where RE Yield Stress @20°C Di inside diameter Re Outside diameter   lg Stefan

I'm tired of having a plain white background while tagging SGML in Arbortext Editor. I want to try something darker to reduce some eye strain. I can easily change the color of my tags, but I'm struggling with how to change the default white background to something else. Is it even possible?I've tried window_set(canvasbackground blah blah blah) , but either I'm not sure how to use that command or that command does not work in the way I'm thinking it should work.Thanks

I want to display 3D model in Creoview or Thingview, but as I bind 3D model to that widgets it's shows nothing. please find attached img for linking ref.

Hi guys,   I'm having some exsisting parts and assemblies in Creo3.0, these parts do have parameters. Now I'd like to create some new parameters in these parts. When I open the parameter-list, the existing parameters are sorted in the way they have been created. But now I'd like to put some parameters in between some existing parameters. Does anyone know how to do that, without deleting and recreating the existing parameters?

Hello,I work at a manufacturing company and we're interested in user arbortext to manage our documents and publish them to a website for our customers. Another business unit is currently in the process of implementing the software but those of us on the website side are trying to get a jump planning.I know arbortext is capable of HTML output but can someone explain to me how that content is stored and how it is retrieved? Our documents would have chapters, sections, etc. Each piece of content will also be tagged to a particular model.Thank you!

I am running Creo 2.0 with PTC Windchill PDMLink 10.2   I have browsed a bunch of previous topics, but I have about run out of patience with this. I had this same issue 6 months ago when I first started working for this company and I have no idea what fixed it. I just messed around with config.pro and other settings and cleared the cache and eventually it worked.    Right now I've cleared the catch, tried every inbrowser config.pro setting, tried running in a separate window. Nothing is getting windchill to display properly inside of Creo. I also get a "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" error everytime I open Creo, even when the browser was working properly which is more than just a little annoying.   Please help!

I have some users that don't have "Software Downloads" as an option under the "Quick Links" pull down in Windchill. Most users see this option. Is there a profile setting or preference that controls the visibility of this?

Below is my recommendation on Data_table/Stream and Value_Stream. Do you thing it is all right ? Considering we will generate 300,000 everts per day.   Data_table is synchronous and we should avoid bombarding this table for any update on existing records or inserting records. Just this is my concern. 2.I am good with Stream table (because this is asynchronous) until we purge it regularly based on certain condition for example incident is resolved in NEOS. 3.Value_stream, because this table keeps logs so also we need to purge this table regularly to avoid decrease in system performance and save disk space.
