Most posts on all subjects are incomplete and insufficient to make functions work. I have used other CAD systems that do the same thing, but Creo has the least intuitive user interface. Hence my request for very explicit and complete instructions. So.... How do you place both flat and formed view of a sheet metal part in one drawing. Only one part number / variant will be stored in Windchill.

Hello everyone, I have a simple question. I am sure it can be done but I have little experience with restricted parameters other than setting up drop-down boxs.    I have a parameter that has a value -  ****** (xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)   Is there a way I can filter this out to just get ****** as a parameter. (Please note that the ******* are different lengths.)  I would love to just stop before the "("   Any help is appreciated.    Cheers RCN

Hello Team,   I tried installing my 120 day Trial Thingworx foundation server however the installation terminates and i get an error for "post installation set up cannot be processed. Installation may have failures ."   PFA the log file also that us generated.   I am using jdk 11 The JAVA_HOME path points to my jdk 11. I have recently made significant progress on regeneration of assemblies & parts and their instances (See links):   https://community.ptc.com/t5/Part-Modeling/Regenerated-or-Not-Regenerated/m-p/573852#M30912 https://community.ptc.com/t5/Part-Modeling/Regenerating-Family-Table-Instances/m-p/591305   But I am still running into something where i have 2 or more drawings open for parts/assemblies in a particular family table. I will verify the instances in the family table and they all are "success"ful. I then go to save the assembly, and I get that instance 3, 9, 22 have not been regenerated. These happen to be the instance for which I have drawings open.   If after verifying the family table, I remember to regenerate the open drawings, this error is either reduced or eliminated.   My question is: Why, if you have one or more drawings open, do those instances not show up as having been regenerated upon successful verification of the instance in the family table? &nb

Hi there, I added a 3D model with a sequence. This model should have a opacity of 50% at every time, while playing a step of the sequence and while waiting to play. Is there a possibility to change the opacity? I already changed the opacity of the model but that does not work. Thanks for help!

I am running Thingworx 7.2.1) I created a Master with a menu .2) I then created a Mashup using that master.If I view the mashup as an Administrator, the menu is there.If I view it with a non-Administrator, the menu doesn't display.What simple thing am I missing?Thanks,Dan

Hi All,   I installed Thingworx and Analytics Demo I downloaded from developer portal. Everything work well during installation, all analytics-related things were created but I cant see the Analytics Tab in Thingworx composer. I restarted Tomcat but nothing changed. Is it normal?

Hello   I am having Creo 4.0 M030. I would like to know version of CAD file opened in Creo. For example, I have opened a.prt.2 into Creo, how can I come to know that it's 2 version file opened in Creo? On Creo title menu, it just displays a.prt.   Note : Please do not get confuse with config option "save_file_iteration". This is to decide whether to create new version on each save or not for part file. What I need is to know version (.31 or .32 for example ) for an opened part file in Creo.   Thanks and Regards Ketan

Hello,   I've been trying to reinstall Thingworx foundation 8.3 trial version, but The installer keep showing error message when i try to reinstall.    This problem happen after i canceled installer during installation. After this, i'm trying to find uninstall file. But it doesn't contain in installation folder.     Anyone please help me in this issue. I would like to how to uninstall the failed installation thingworx foundation.   Thank

I have an error in my model. The error showed up while creating some tubing using the Piping application. I worked on trouble shooting it, couldn't figure it out. I deleted everything related, and couldn't figure it out. Unfortunately I worked on too many things to undo checkout and completely roll back to the previous version. I have completely deleted everything that was could have been related to the error. Attached is a screenshot of the error. The text is "ERR: internal datum 9713 of feat 9777 is missing". Neither this datum or feature exist anymore, but I cannot get rid of the error on regeneration.This model is going to be copied to create 4 other units, and these are the North American standard units... so I want them to be clean and free of errors (even more than I usually would.)I have removed all Model References that were possible, all unnecessary features, and tried to make the model as "light" as possible. None of this has helped.Does anyone know something else I can try?

Dear colleagues,   We would appreciate it if you would help us with our problem regarding lights in Creo 4.0. When we open Creo, default option is defined as: - Default distant - Distant1   In Creo 3.0 this default option is different, so we would anticipate that someone created this set of lights. We are having problem finding where is this set of lights stored/ its filename. We are trying to implement specific color table to our process, for proper operation we would like to modify default option on all of them on »off«.   We already try modifying scene file, no luck. We searched in config.pro, nothing. There is an option with »resolving« this with mapkey, but you need to already be in part/assembly, since you cannot access -scene editor/lights- option from the start up creo menu, so this option doesn't apply.   Any suggestions? Having logged on, the normal "landing" page doesn't come up. In Creo m040, cross section capping worked fine, but since we updated to M050, every time you open an assembly for the first time in memory, and activate a cross section, the cross section does not show any of the solid objects in the cross section as capped, but instead as if they were hollow. If you edit definition on the section, and then hit accept (without changing anything) the cross section caps solids and appears as it should.   Sometimes some objects show capped as they should, but not all. (maybe 1 out of 50 objects in cross section). This makes me wonder if there is some "New EnhancementTM" that is treating cross sections like imported geometry when you have multiple features that are intersecting such that it does not know which side to make solid or not. I did not see anything in the changelog regarding cross sections from M030 to M050.   I have verified that the config setting, "CAPPED_CLIP YES" is enabled, and I cannot find any other settings that might be

I'm trying to make an image tracking experience for my business cards. Basically, I want to be able to hold up my card and launch a mobile portfolio.   I can't figure out how to create a carousel of images/slideshow in Studio. Is there an easy way to do this? I'd also like to be able to have a 3D video play, but it doesn't look like that's a feature? Thanks!
