What is the structure of the .idx file that is created from family tables. From what I can understand the second column is the instance and the 3rd column is the generic, but what is the first column. In my file, I have 1's and 2's. Is it some sort of hierarchy?

Hello, I am trying to start a query with im issues --queryDefinitionFile="C:/Temp/queryDef.txt" queryDef.txt contains the query definition: --queryDefinition=(("field[Document ID]=516733")and("item.live")and("item.meaningful"))   This returns the error "MKS124814: Cannot show view information: Missing end )" I have tried a lot with leaving out "--queryDefinition=" and more and less ",(,), whatsoever. The definition is definitely correctly readable from the file, which I can see with the im issues -F option which returns the content of the queryDef.txt file as an error message (I just mention this to clarify that the path and name and everything is flawless)     I don´t see any error in the syntax. I can even use this query definition with directly typing im issues --queryDefinition=(("field[Document ID]=516733")and("item.live")and("item.meaningful")) and get the result that I am looking for. But of course there is little point in using the CLI if I not wanted to automize

Question: Is there an elegant method of determining which tab is active in a set of tabs using JavaScript?   Use Case: I have a set of tabs showing operational information for each sub-assembly of an assembly. I would like the corresponding  sub-assembly to be highlighted in the 3D model depending on the currently active tab.

Hey all, I'm playing around with the SigmaTile and KepServerEX. I imported the KepServerEX project and it is working fine but I'm trying to understand how it works under the surface. I wanted to replicate the Channel, Device and Tags to set them up myself from scratch, however I don't know which addreses to set for the tags. How to figure out at which memory address each data from the sensors is being stored in on the modbus emulation on the Raspberry Pi? In the original project settings I see for example for the Humidity tag there is the Address 40003. Where is this set/defined, where can I look it up? I searched through the Sigma Tile python code but could not find the answer. Anyone can help with that?   Thanks Boris

Creo 5.0 parametric opens to the message below:   License request failed for feature    Requesting CREOPMA_SchoolsSTD4 c:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing\BE410708EDSTUDENTK12_license.dat:(-1) Cannot find license file.   I used the code given on the instructions and another one found in a thread form ptc help, neither has worked. I've downloaded and installed the program several times and am still getting this message. Before installing I've deleted the previous attempts license file from the c drive.    Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi,        I have two mashups i.e mashup1 and mashup2. Mashup1 contains grid that displays data based on text value. Clicking on grid row Mashup2 popups and displays data related to selected row. Now what I want is to use one navigation on mashup2, which  redirects to Mashup1 without losing existing data of Mashup1. I tried to include navigation as back button in mashup2 used session variable to store data, but Mashup1 data becomes blank.   Please provide solution for this and thanks in advance.   Thank You, Sheetal Sable

Hi,   The logic: Infotable A has 2 columns. Delete column 1 in infotable A. Now the infotable has only 1 column. Read each row of infotable A and compare with a string. If there is a match, add some strings to infotable B. Several years ago (14-JAN-2013) I had an issue where I have two insert mates (both coincident because they are perpendicular) where the part was flipping to one of four different orientations:   https://community.ptc.com/t5/Assembly-Design/Cylinder-with-a-hole-two-insert-mates/m-p/57404   I am now in Creo 4.0, and the previous solution, adding to coincident constraints for (2) plane is no longer working. When upgrading to the newer version of Creo, the coincident constraints were changed to "Parallel". There in lies the problem, two planes can be parallel in one of two configurations when they are aligned and when one of the planes if flipped 180 degrees (unless parallel also includes a orientation vector to say what side of the plane is "up").     Any thoughts? Is this a new bug with the constraints changing from coincident to parallel?   Thanks, Dale

I am trying to create a solid feature by extruding to a spherical surface. The spherical surface is created by revolving. I found it always says fail to regen if the origin is inside the extrude sketch pattern. I tried different patterns, circle, triangle, etc. As long as the origin is inside the pattern, it always fails to regen.   succeed when the origin's outside the patternfail to regen when the origin's inside the pattern So far the only scenario it can extrude is the pattern in the sketch is a circle and it's concentric to the spherical. But if the pattern is a square or something else. It still fails.   it can only be done when the circle is concentric to the spherical surfaceit fails with a square I told this to my friend who's using NX(UG) at work. He created the feature with the same way I did with CREO. i.e. revolving a spherical surface, thickening the surface, then extruding to the surface (inner or outer). I want to display a Number type value inside a Gauge widget, and the new values coming from an Edge device every 60 seconds to get automatically updated. The remotely bound property has a 'DataChangeEvent' of 'Always'.   I'm using the GetProperties service with the 'Automatically update' flag checked, and the required property is bound to the Gauge data in the Mashup design. However, the updated value is reflected inside the Gauge only when I open the Thing, or click the refresh button for properties in the Composer UI, and not in real-time.   It was suggested in one of the posts to bind all DataChangeEvent properties to a widget when using GetProperties service. I tried the same, but still no success.

Morning AllHaving issue with exporting an assembly as a STP file and creating a solid.Have trawled help, forums and interweb for info and I still see the structure of the assembly when I open the STP file in a separate application.So far  I have shrinkwrapped the assembly then saved the shrinkwrap as a STP file, this opens as a single part but you can still see the structure.I've tried suggestions such as surface only and the problem remains. We are using Creo 2.0 M120.Any suggestions?Many Thanks

having a hard time making the machine play option working   I have a models for DMG 5-axis machine which I assembled kinematically using slide & pin options. Have a mach_zero coordinate at the table center & tool_point coordinate at the spindle center. Have saved it in my workcell directory & am able to see the preview in my workcenter/assembly tab also in the nc manufacturing assembly. Have defined the coordinate system also in the nc assembly   Have the machine play option working in the right click mouse button on the operation. But as soon as I click it, it opens a second window with the machine & closes it immediately just giving me a glimpse of the machine   Does anybody know what could be wrong or what am I missing ??   Thanks for the help

Hi! I'm new to mathcad and trying to calculate some very simple equations containing symbolics and numerical elements. I know which answer to get, but simply can't make mathcad return the wanted result.   1/2 * cos(v) * p * L + 1/2 * sin(v) * p* L   I look for the result looking like: 0.67 * p * L   I tried searching for solutions for this but can't really find an answer, but it seems so simple that I can't possibly think that what I look for isn't possible?   Any chance there's an easy workaround?

Hi guys, This is Ragu from India. I am new to creo simulate. I have a doubt in applying loads on multiple faces while simulating using creo 2.0. I have modeled a flange coupling with 8 holes on a P.C.D of 150. I have selected all the 8 hole surface and applied a load of 500N. Now the question is, if I do so, whether the software applies the load of 500N to all the 8 holes(i.e for 1st hole, 500N, for 2nd hole, 500N and so on) or it will divide the applied load by 8(i.e 500/8=62.5. For 1st hole 62.5, for 2nd hole 62.5 and so on).   Thanks in advance.

Hi, Is there any data logger in ThingWorx that captures each and every action performed by the user (e.g: If user clicks a button in a mashup that has to be logged as User clicked the <button  name> with timestamp the action has performed). Hi,   Many times a day I use the "Save a CL File" button to post a MCD File.Everytime I do it, I have to tick "MCD File" in the submenus that follow, see screencapture for reference.   Is there a way to make Creo remember I ticked this option, at least for the current session?Creo remembers you ticked the MACHINE option for instance and the next time you use "Save a CL File", the MACHINE entry is already ticked for you, which is good.Is there a hidden option for "MCD file"? Or an custom entry to write somewhere in a configuration file?   I have discovered the menu entries for this menu are defined in Common Files\text\usascii\menus\output_type.mnubut there's no way to define what is ticked by default or not, at least that I'm aware of.I also had a look at the trail file, nothing struck me as a clue there.   Any help appreciated!

Hello Dear Community,   today I wanted to do the Raspberry Pi Tutorial and got stuck in the Thingworx Composer.   I used the written tutorial and followed the video tutorial. This was my first time ever logging in there.   In the tutorial it says I have to create a new Application Key and then a new Thing but I have basically only permission to read and view, but in order to do these steps I probably need Design Time and Run Time as well.   I am on a Trial-Account.   I already looked for a solutions to this but somehow couldn't apply them. I can't even do anything else besides reading.   Is there any way to make the Raspberry Pi Project work without the need t
