To all  I am doing my 1st step with the montecarlo() function in mcad 15. I copied the example and put my own function and it seems to work fine. Does anyone know if there is a way of getting/creating the “enveloping” ellipse one often sees on a Monte Carlo plot? I attached one on which I drew the ellipse   I think the length of the minor and major axis have a meaning (in the Mont Carlo world) byut can’t quite remember what it is!

Hello everyone,   In this time I have a question about Proportional Chart widget.   I'm trying to do something like the picture, but I have no idea how to do it. I think I have to use a Proportional Chart Widget, but no matter how much I change the properties, I can't make a chart like that.   I take data from a Infotable.   ID, Number1, Number2, SumTotal 1,5,5,10 2,7,3,10 3,6,4,10   What is the correct way to do it?   Thanks, Luis

Using the Integrity CLI to extract time entries for analysis and processing.   I use something like this;   im timeentries --hostname=host --port=port --filter=user:username --filter=entrydata:"between START and END" (note don't type this in by hand, I have wrapper code written in Python. I also use mksapiviewer.exe to process the command output as XML and parse it. This all works nicely).   The above example extracts the time entries for a user user between the dates START and END. I now have a user case where I would like to extract all time entries recorded against a given Issue ID in a specific time range, regardless of which user entered them.   Looking at the help im timeentries --usage I see there is a sub-option in the filter section   issue=<expression> However, I am not sure what 'expression' means. Hello everyone.   I am new at this and  there are many things that I don't understand, so I need your help.   So, I'm trying to read a CSV file (function ReadCSVFile) and save it in a InfoTable. I have downloaded the CSV Parser Extension and have boiled down to the bare minimum and have not been able to get it to work. When I launch the service, the following error appears:   Error executing service SImportCSV. Message :: Unable To Open [*******] in [********] : begin 0, end 18, length 13 - See Script Error Log for more details.   What could be the problem?   Thanks, Luis

Hi all,   I'm working on on a sheet which calculates section forces and deflections in a cantilever beam based on a function for the load. There's multiple integrals involved: define q(z) V(z) = integrate q(z) over z = 0...z M(z) = integrate V(z) u(z) = double integration of M(z) In my sheet this sort of looks as follows, where q is a ranged function, see the top left graph:     Steps 2 and 3 are easy for MathCAD to compute, but step 4 (bottom right graph) puts my computer in an endless loop of calculation.  MathCAD 15 also has it hard, but does come to a result after a while, where MathCAD Prime 4 is still calculating after about an hour.     I can understand that multiple integrations can be cumbersome for my computer, but in my opinion, this is what MathCAD should be good at? Am I doing something wrong somewhere, are there ways to get the last step working, or am I just asking too much of the software?   Thanks in advance for

Hello! We are trying to get some meta data out of integrity and want to use "si locate" to find a list of locations where the current project is reused. In the GUI, there is an option named "Limit Search to Active Paths". But this functionality is not documented for the "si locate" command. Is this an undocumented feature, or is it implemented in another command for the commandline tools? BR, Markus

You can use some of the features of Creo by using the web link.However, the features we created here are in html format and run in the built-in browser.In other words, it is shared with html files, and our effort is easily exposed to the outside world.I think you need some other way to protect some of the features you created with these web links.   The first way to think about it is to create a toolkit. But this is a fee, and it seems difficult to learn.The second way to think about it is to have these web links function as a ribbon with j-link. The second method seems to be feasible.   Here is the question.1. Can I create a Ribbon that can easily work with creo's specific features (create frequently used parameters) like web links via j-links? Can these generations protect code from the outside world?   2. Can I apply the code created with the web link directly as a ribbon? Is this how you can protect your code from the outside world?   thanks best regards

I am trying to overlay data from Thingworx on a pump model at different locations, I need to overlay pump data on pump, pipe flow data on pipe. I have a 3D model of the setup, can I just use the model for detection and proper placement of data in 3D plane without displaying. I guess the Blue Pump tutorial is a good starting point but I can't find the .zip file needed.

We are upgrading a ThingWorx 7.3 based server to 8.3. I noticed that we now receive a warning when using a syntax like for each (var row in myInfotable.rows)   However, when I try to save the attached example then it seems to work. Does Rhino in ThingWorx 8.3 support the syntax in the example or not? I understand we should try to avoid this but I want to know if we can expect problems during the migration?    Many thanks Erik

Hi, I am fairly new to Mathcad Prime, but having used 11,13 and 14 previously.   I have defined some new units, but for some reason Prime 5 is unable to use these user defined units in the evaluation result of a calculation.   Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply not possible?   I have tried both with normal definition and global definition of the unit.

Hello everyone!I am trying how the MAthcad 15 "Compare Worksheets" command works, it is present in Tools. In this regard, I did not find a mention in the guide. So for proof, I created two very similar and very simple worksheets, but I do not understand how the comparison works. For example the constant b has different values and the number of  letters M in the two strings is different but there is no indication about. I enclose a photo of the result.
