Hello everyone,   I want to use some Mashups in a WebView during Android development. The Mashup name will be a property from a thing.   Is it possible to access this mashup via a specific Url or Rest call which already does the login?   I am aware that https://<ThingworxServer:port>/Mashups/MashupName opens the Mashup, but a login popup shows up that I want to avoid. Note that the app already has an App Key available, could it maybe be used for that?   Something like https://Server:port/Login=Appkey/Mashups/MashupName ? Or a Sequence of Rest calls that achieve the same? I am open for other suggestions as well.   Anyway, thank you very much for your help.   Best Regards, Dominik

Hello everyone,   I would like to use a Time Series Chart in my Mashups which automatically updates. In this video at 0:32 a Chart is shown that I would like to have.   I am aware that you can automatically update the time series chart every lets say 1 second. If possible I would like to update it when a corresponding data change event happens (which I could not find since the Property History table used for the chart can't be accessed as a property).   Also I want to only display a interval of x minuts, for for every update the oldest value should vanish and the x-axis should represent the correct time.   Any hints are appreciated very much.   Best Regards, Dominik

My computer recently changed locations on the company internet. I have been using Direct Modeling Express for several years successfully but now I get a proxy request and warning when I start. It looks like I'll be thrown out after 72 hours?   I clearly have internet access. The company IT support is not sure what type of Proxy information Direct Modeling Express requires. Proxies are not generally used, they say.   Connection failed. For Modeling Express to automatically activate, it requires access to the internet. Please check if a proxy has to be specified, and enter your company's proxy server details so that the activation can proceed   Proxy name.........   Proxy port ...........   Thanks for any help to get around this issue.

Hello Everyone,   after following this guide (the example where the failure of a motor shall be predicted) I am wondering about the process about predictive maintenance in general.   In this example it is somehow a fact, that if the grease of the motor is low it has a high chance of failure. I guess this information could have been retrieved with the Analytics Methods aswell (eventhough it is not explained how they found out this specific corelation in the first place).   So as far as I understand, the predictive model generated here can tell me whether or nor the grease is low for a given set of parameters and their values.    I am wondering where exactly is the "predictive" aspect? Like it is now, it could only tell me in Real time that "now the grease is low" but isn't that already to late if I wanted to prevented this state in the first place?    Please explain to me how I can use this data to actually prevent this states (to know that t

I have a workflow for a document.  I want to check for a variable and if it reports back "N" to open a popup window telling the user what needs to be done.  Is this possible inside of the workflow under the "Complete" transition?  If it is, does anyone have any code for opening the popup?  Or do I have to write code outside of Windchill and reference it from the transition area?

All the install pdfs link from https://www.ptc.com/en/academic-program/products/free-software/creo-download/thank-you fail with the subject error?   I found a copy of the creo4 install pdf linked in reply to one of the questions here, but I'm trying to install creo1, and the instruction do not match.   Another questioner here asked about installing creo2, and it was suggested here install creo4  and the creo2 and point the creo2 install at the licence from creo4.   But, the reason I'm installing creo1, is the creo4 will not install on this OS.   Can someone post a working link to the creo1 install pdf please?

Hello,   I am installing Windchill PDMLink as per Installation and Configuration Guide in a lab environment. There are 3 servers as following installed and configured in the same order. All servers have got no AV, FW disabled, UAC disabled and in same network. DbSrv: Oracle database and Directory Server components BusRepSrv: Business Reporting Host components AppSrv: Windchill 11 M030 Solution and Business Reporting Gateway   Installation went smooth. How to run spatial target experience in HoloLens?

I am testing a new install of Windchill 11.0 m030 CPS08 and set wt.fv.fvFileThreshold to 20. I have also set wt.fv.useFvFileThreshold, wt.fv.useVaultsForAllContent and wt.fv.forceContentToVault to true. When I created the vault, I set it to Automatic folder creation. This is what we want to test.   Does Windchill create a new folder and start populating it when the threshold limit is reached?   I have uploaded 30 documents to Windchill and they are all going into my initial folder. Is there a minimum threshold number that is not documented?   On my other production system, it did not have the Automatic option when setup back at Windchill 8, so I manually create new folders and be sure that 2 or 3 are mounted and ready for the threshold of 50,000 to do the rollover. When trying to run the EMS on an Ubuntu PC I get the following messages: twWs_Receive: Websocket closed! api:sendMessageBlocking: AUTH Message 1 failed. Code:129   Web server runs correctly I can open a browser and hit http://localhost:8000/Thingworx/Things/LocalEms/Properties/isConnected however this shows an empty webpage and not an InfoTable.   If I run a lsof command it shows the port 8000 is listening and it's being used by wsems and that a connection is established with the ThingWorx Server.   Any ideas or suggestions?

Using Creo 2.0 M130 I am creating features in my part using an equation driven curve. This is really a helical sweep but I found I have more control of the rotation direction using the curve and standard sweep method. However, I want to try a different approach to defining the curve because of certain constraints dictating the start and end position of the curve (very intense calculations easy to draw in 2D).   My thought is to unwrap/flatten the outer surface of the cylinder, draw in the path of the cuts as an angled line, re-wrap the curve around the cylinder, then perform my swept cut. This is coming from the old-school AutoCAD method of laying these notches out.   My problem is I can't get the unwrap to work properly. I have created a datum point on the surface and then a coordinate system using that point as a reference and i cannot get it to unwrap the outer surface.

Hello Everyone,ThingWorx Studio Version 8.2.3 (8.2.3.3224) ThingWorx View 82.3.264.0 I have been developing on the free trial version for a couple days now. The point here was to just create a simple project to utilize 3D labels. I took a 3D model of a computer motherboard and linked it to a ThingMark target. Within the canvas I labeled the DIMM slots A1-4 and B1-4. It looks great in the canvas view so I decided to preview/publish it and see how it looks via ThingWorx View. For starters, in the preview, the 3D labels appear to be either decreased in scale or the 3D model is increased in scale. Assuming this was just a preview issue I attempted to view it in ThingWorx View after publishing the experience and it was even worse (see attachments). The current scale of the object is 0.2. I attempted to correct this issue by making the model smaller (0.1, 0.09,etc..) but it did not have any effect on the experience. In fact, the model did not change scale at all. Any recommendation

I've got two surfaces that are perpendicular.  They are both curved, but they form a closed seam.  When I try to surface edit one of the surfaces, it will pull away from the seam.   I know you can right click on the outer edge, (max row, max col) and Preserve Position, but that doesn't help me with a curved edge.  Is there any way to keep the seam from splitting apart, other than tediously pulling the inner points with great mouse technique? Thanks.   Drawing attached if it helps.  I'm basically trying to show my Cad class how they can design auto bodies.

I'm trying to access and change the "Category" field for Properties on a Thing by using a script.  I'd like to be able to set the Category for many Properties at once rather than having to type it in to each individual one.   Is there a way to do this?

hello ,    is there a possible way to speed up the view transition animations in creo. i mean when i switch from front view to top view , and when i enter sketch every time, i do not want animate the rotation and all .. just show the the view/ enter sketch immediately.   Thanks in advance.
