Hi, Everytime when PTC releases new datecodes, is it required to download the entire media and runthe upgrade installation or Is there  any installer application available to download and install only the upgrades instead of the entire media? Please help!!!

Hello,Can we install Analytics server on host machine of Thingworx 8.Thingworx 8 is hosted on windows server  2012 R2 maachine .Which version of docker will work with this windows  OS.Does it creates any impact for other components like dataconnect which has to be installed with Analytics server?Regards,Raji

I am using Thingworx 8.0 with H2 db and navigate framework 1.5. I am trying out this configuration for Thingworx SSO.Here are some more details about it,- I am using PingFederate as an IDP- if i am disabling SSO in platform-settings.json file then Thingworx login works fine but if we enable it in platform-settings.json file then its giving some issue and i am not even able to see PingFed login page.I am not able to open url http://localhost:8090/Thingworx/​​.      - here 8090 is the port configured for Apache Tomcat.It is giving some error, you can see attached log file for more information.Any help would be really appreciated here.Thanks,Imran

If I have a vector 'k', with say 10 values in it.  I can easily do a sum of all the value using the summation operator with 'k' the ONLY argument.   If I want the product of all those values, it seems I need more arguments other than just 'k'.   Can anyone advise what those arguments should be?

I'm starting to search on Thingworx Analytics but I have read that basic data analysis can be done without Thingworx Analytics Server.As first step, I would like to work on the data collection and analysis integration within Thingworx platform but I cannot find the way. Few months ago, I could do it following one Quickstart guide, but all of them are related with Thingworx Analytics now.Does anyone know how to apply a basic data analysis in Thingworx platform without using Thingworx Analytics Server?Thank you very much

Hello,   I've unfortunately been pushed into the role of Windchill admin because of the size of our company and the fact that I'm the only one with experience.   The WC server has been running fine since the initial install. I recently connected a external hard drive and setup an automated Microsoft Windows 7 Pro backup of the 😧 partition and an image of the entire internal hard drive (where WC is installed). After setting this up, the computer was turned off for a few days to a week. When I booted the WC server computer up this morning and tried to get the server up and running by signing into WCDS Control Panel, I received the following error after trying to log in: "Could not connect to the server. Check that the server is running. Details: javax.naming.CommunicationException: 0.0.0.0.4444 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect]".   Other than setting up the backup I have not changed anything on the WC server mostly due to the fea

I'm using a restricted parameters list that creates a pull-down menu for a DESCRIPTION parameter in a start part in Windchill PDMLink 10.2.  The user selects the appropriate item from the list and the DESCRIPTION parameter gets populated.  I successfully created a relation that also populates the PTC Common Name. If the user saves the file, the PTC Common Name gets populated.  If the user selects a different item from the pull-down menu and saves the file, the PTC Common Name changes accordingly.  However, if the user tries to select a different option from the pull-down menu after the file has been Saved & Uploaded, the following message appears: Some relations are no longer satisfied in *filename* for PTC_COMMON_NAME   Is there a way to set the PTC_COMMON_NAME back to being blank after a file has been Saved & Uploaded in Windchill?

Is there any way to limit the size of images in the ArborText Editor window? Here's the situation: We use a custom table to display <steps>. Each <step> is a row, <cmd> is the first column, <substeps> in the second, and <info> is in the third. We place photos or screenshots in <info> by using <img>, but ususally don't use @scale or @width to resize images. In PDF output, The column widths are set to (0.5in 1* 1*), so the images are automatically scaled to fit the width of the third column. The problem: Some of our photos are huge--like >2000 pixels wide. In Arbortext Editor (v7.0 M030), images appear at 100%, so we have to scroll down forever to get to the next step. In addition, we cannot scroll to the right to see the whole image. Ideal solution: Set up some sort of rule that says somkething like:For step/info/img, scale images in ATE so that they are no more than 900px (or 3in) wide.  Hey,   I wanna execute following command every 15 minutes via Task Scheduler (Windows 7 Enterprise SP1): si.exe resync --forceConfirm=yes hostname=*** --port=8893 --user=*** --password=*** --sandbox=D:\Folder\Folder\project.pj   It's working fine when using my windows user as user account in Task Scheduler. Cause I wanna have it working even if no user is logged in, I'm using SYSTEM user.   Using SYTEM user will cause following error: si.exe: Attempt to launch Integrity Client timed out. To solve this please try the following: - Verify that the user you are logged in as has read and write permissions to the Integrity Client install directory. - Make sure the Integrity Client install directory is the very first entry in the path.   Checked the internet and tried a lot: - MAN_CHM_INDEX, MAN_HTM_PATHS, MAN_TXT_INDEX, PATH, ROOTDIR are identically with my windows user. Anyway, created a .bat and use set before the si.exe command.

Hi, I am a college student and I'm trying to install and run Creo 2.0 on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.11.3) using Wine. I was able to open the setup.exe, input the License code given in the guide on the Simple License Entry slot, and Login with my credentials, but I get an error message that reads "Please provide mandatory values". What can I do to solve his issue?

Hi All, I would like to know the solution for a scenario listed below. Please let me know what can be done to solve the same. Say for WTDocument there are 3 soft types like ADocument, BDocument and CDocument, and if I had to attach only BDocument to WTPart and not ADocument or CDocument. How would I be doing it ? In case if i try attaching ADocument or CDocument an error should pop up saying that only BDocument can be attached. How to customize the above solution ? Hi, We use creo view as an extra tool at assembly in our workshop. We´re having problem with imported models though. they usually show up as in the picture below. Circled is the space where it should have been a motor. The problem seems to be the same with both .stp and .igs. (We usually use .igs)   Does anyone have a solution to this? missing motor... The simple exation with one variable needs numerical solving( with higher potential values compute time climbes a bit), enabled multithreading - not much of a cpu hog ~ 50%(on an i5 2500) - yet no result in prime 4.0 Punched the same quation into WolframAlpha, got an approximated result - due to limited compute time.   Searched though the help tool of the solve function, tried different parameters, still nothing. Am I blind or missing something -  please enlighten me.(used the thick equation symbol)Thank you for wasting time on helping me 😉

Hi,   When I'm trying to graph F(theta) an error tells me that the value must be a scalar and by error tracing, I found that in the first part of the if statement, the same error pops up. If anyone could help me out here that would be great.   Thanks 

Does anyone have any Dowel Pin Hole charts they can share? Unless I use a diamer that matches a standard threaded hole chart, I get an error that IFX cannot find the hole. Since there is no thread involved, I'm not quite sure how to configure a dowel pin hole chart. Dowels have alot more different thread diameters than the regular threaded hole charts.   What is the most efficient way to add these holes for use in IFX?

I'm trying to figure out a way to quickly re-apply the current drawing format again to a drawing.   My current process is to open up the sheet setup, pick a (different) random drawing format, and then repick the original format again. Then I hit okay, remove all tables, and I have a nice up to date drawing format again. I know this isn't a huge amount of clicks, but I would ideally like to get it down to just a single command as I find myself doing this a hundred times a day. I can record a mapkey to do this, but it is always specific to the current format I recorded it on; I'd have to make a new mapkey for every format we use this way and that would be cumbersome... Is there any way to generally just reset or re-load the current format on a drawing?Thank you!! -Andrew

I have a simple contact analysis that I would like to run.  I have a gear that is press-fit onto a shaft.  Instead of enforcing a displacement (the distance the gear in pressed onto the shaft), I wanted to start with the gear already in it's final location and simply run the analysis with the press-fit box checked and the maximum interpenetration set to my press-fit distance (0.038mm in this case).  However Simulate gives me an error that I can't define the analysis without either a load set or enforced displacement.  Is there a setting I have incorrect?  I thought I could run a press-fit without needing a load set or enforced displacement.  I've attached my assembly with the setup I'm having issues with.  

Hi, this is my first post here and is a short one:Is possible to use MS SQLServer 2012 as the database for a ThingWorx installation? If yes, what kind of issues/bugs we can found if we proceed with this setup in a test enviroment? And of course if applicable, the support (if any) that we can expect for such installation. I already know from the documentation that only 2014 version and later are officially supported.Looking forward for your comments/answers to this question.Thanks a lot.

Hello everyone,I am a complete beginner trying to run Thingworx(trial version) on my local machine.I have followed all the instructions on Installing_ThingWorx_8.0_1.0_.pdf which is provided in the ZIP file.Maybe I have done something wrong, but I cannot figure out what is going on.I wish someone can help me with this process.While finding for solution, I noticed many of the answers requested log files.So I have attached two log files that seem related with the error hoping it might expedite the answering process.I hope I am not making stupid mistake exposing my security by uploading the log files but I am desperately in need of help.

Hi everyone, this particular part while customizing is confusing me a lot. Please help!   Q. is it possible to restrict users from accessing CAD/NonCAD documents in different life cycle states in windchill pdmlink?   Example Scenario: I have users userA, userB, userC, userD, userE. I have groups groupA(uploader), groupB(viewer), groupC(approver) I have defined custom profiles and created teams also.   Lifecycle states: Inwork -> Approved -> Obsolete   What I want is userB should be restricted to view files only in Approved state and not other files(CAD/NonCAD) in Inwork or Obsolete state. I have created a lifecycle state and designated roles and access control to only read to userB and added this lifecycle in OIR but is of no good?    Am I doing it right? or should I run any command after changing OIR to implement those changes? Kindly help.

Does anyone have a copy of the pipe netowrk example  pipe_flow.mcdx   that they could share?   I have seen it referenced multiple times in various mathcad communities but have not found a download link.   It may have been related to a Hodge and Taylor white Paper.   Thanks Tim
