Hi, I know that MC15 doesn't like different units in one array and I know how to override this. But what to do in this case? I`m reading excel file to MathCAD and I want to get units from it. The unit in one "unit cell" can be "mm" or "deg".I don`t want to add one more column for "mm" or for "deg".I want to use one cell for different purposes. Is this possible? 

Hi,   What should be the best practice to store the historical data from Excel and then later start storing Live streaming data in same properties of a Thing. I know as per the documentation, I should use Datatables to store static or historical data and Value Streams for Live streaming data but my setup is different. Initially, I need to push some Historical data of a device and later the same device will start pushing live data in TW. I am not sure how would I proceed to achieve this.   Please suggest me the best way possible. Thanks in advance.   Best regards, Neetu

Dear TW community members!So, this time we are working on "Local Data Storage" feature for our devices when the internet connection is not available.Here is a quick back-ground info:- We have smart sensors which updates thingworx every minute to post temperature,pressure, humidity etc.- We store all these information using "Value Streams" for each device.- and then we use "QueryNumberPropertyHistory" service to retrieve history of data to display meaningful graphs and other infoWhen there is no internet connection, our devices skip sending information and whenever the connection is back, devices will start re-updating ThingWorx again.Now, we have managed to store information locally within devices even when there is no internet.However, I am curious, what would be the best way to update thingworx and insert all of those locally stored information in one single update? and I still want to be able to see meaningful (not collapsed) [temperature - timestamp] data pairs when I use "QueryNum

I know this is probably a silly question and easy to solve.   I have signed up for the Pilot program.  The server is up and running, and I have got my local ThingWorx Studio talking to the server.  It shows that I have three thingmarks to my name.  Where do I go to get the actual physical files of those marks so that I can print them?   Thank you for your help, and have a great day!

This has been discussed before and the experience is not new. But after all this time, had PTC actually done anything about this?   I had this license lost problem with a Dell laptop before. A clever support tech downgraded my license server to something from WF4. This license sever is very easy to stop and restart in Task Manager.   Now this very same problem still exists on my new Lenovo P70. I still have the latest license server.  Still running Windows 7.   Right now, my only work-around is to keep an open session of Creo when I close the cover. You'd think this is something someone in the "PTC FIT AND FINISH" department would have looked into by now.   Can someone walk me through the Task Manager to know how to reset the license server? I have a stand-alone license (locked?).

Hallo,   attached a mathcad file with my question. I need to call the function "on error" vectorised. So that i have a result of all the calculations I tryed it but the result is not correct. Can anyone help me with this problem?   As you can see the result is red because for the last value no calculation is possible. Therefor a fixed value should be calculated for the result. Hi,All the google maps in my mash ups have stopped displaying (the widget area is blank). They all used to work fine. The only thing I can think of that might have affected it is that we changed the to a https connection from http. I have looked for solutions on the web, but can't find anything. Has anyone come across this issue before?Thanks

Hi all! I'm currently using MathCad 15 and I can't seem to get the seem together the Excel function to work correctly. It keeps writing to excel and making the file corrupt and messing with the formating, making it impossible to write all the arrays to Excel is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hi,When I create a new repository. It does not show up in the folder path of C:\\ThingWorxStorage\repository\newRepository. I using Thingworx 7.3.3. It was working as expected but not anymore. I tried restarting my computer but no luck. Any ideas?In advance thank you for your help,Wendy

Using Windchill 11.0 (new upgrade). We are trying to upload new graphics into Windchill using the command "new graphic information element". A blank window pops up and nothing else. We have tried in IE(11), FireFox(55) and Chrome(61). Before the upgrade it worked perfectly. Any ideas? Browser setting perhaps?

At the moment we could only achieve to export the ID of a upward traced item – but not any other field value of this item of another hierarchy level. I have problem with configuration of Relationship resource provider in Thingworx 7.1.0, using ILM Extension (newest).I created manually thing for testing relationships, for relationship Contains/Contained By. I have generated Resource Providers for Input Document and Input.In configuration tab, I configured relationship as it said in ILM_Extension_Guide -> http://support.ptc.com/WCMS/files/170142/en/ILM_Extension_Guide.pdfFor Role:Contains I set key "Contained By" with type String.For Role:ContainedBy I set key "Contains" with type Infotable.I added Role:Contains tag to Input Document Resource Provider, and Role:ContainedBy to Input Resource Provider. (I don't know, if in this point I should do this way or another way).But when I test service GetRoleProviders, for ContainedBy I get Input Resource Provider, and for Contains I get empty Infotable - so something is wrong.It was just a test of Relationship Resource Providers, I need a bit different thing.What I need eventually, is to ge

I've made an assembly drawing of a car jack, but I want do display the handle separately.I don't know how I can display the BOM of the handle and add it to the BOM table. Is there any way to do it?

In Creo Parametric 4.0, I have an assembly with different parts assigned different colors. When I convert to a STP file, exported as AP214 which is supposed to retain colors, the shade of the colors changes. For example I go from a beige color to a blinding white. Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm trying to create a new NC assembly but after trying to create the new file the software does nothing. I tried opening Expert Machinist and that one opens and works, but the NC Assembly option for Manufacturing does nothing, it just stays in the same screen as when you open CREO. Any suggestion? My version is student free version, I really dont know if that could be a limitation in the software or if it should be working.

  Creo wont open on the network that contains the license Hi   First of all, sorry about the bad English.   I'm a student in Belgium and I need Creo. This is the second year I've had trouble with it. If I'm at home and open Creo it will work fine if I put on a VPN to the network of the school so Creo finds a license. Now, the problem is that if I'm in school and I connect directly to the open network which contains the license, Creo won't boot. My teacher mentioned there are also several other students with this problem. I already contacted the firm who releases Creo in Belgium (CadCorner) and they don't seem to find the problem either. If I doubleclick the icon of Creo, there isn't even a proces running in the task manager. I guess there's some proces that stops it from opening if i'm not connected at home.   This problem only happens in school, not at home. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hi all,I have already consulted the old posts but did not find a good answer to my case.I have different thing that have several properties. One of this properties is a integer "Counter" that for each PUT increment the value of this counter. Each thing has its own ValueStream.The question in general is that I would like to retrieve the history of this put.I have try to obtain this with querypropertyHistory but it happens that some row return duplicated and I don't know why.The oddest thing though happens when I look at the behavior through a mashup where I put the QueryPropertyHistory service commanded by a timeselector and autorefresh.Iit happens that at a given instant the service shows the duplicate row (same counter) and the next step is replaced by the row with the incremented counter.Can someone help me to understand this behaviour?But the most important question is: What is the best way to obtain the pure history of the PUT write?

Hi,anyone know if we can group permissions together when using the service ​AddRuntimePermission()​.I would like to grant permission for PropertyRead, PropertyWrite and ServiceInvoke. Hi, I'm SeonHo   I want to write a retention rule and send Windchill's data to the Vault.I maked new rules through ptc e support site/helpWTObject was sent to the Vault in every lifecycle stateHowever, did not send it to the Vault when I check in.   My question is two.For check in & upload via Creo or other 3D CAD, is the file moved to the Vault only? If i set wt.fv.useVaultsForAllContent to true, the data in Windchill is also moved to the repository?     Thanks
