I have one attribute and enabled a constraint string , length of string is 1200, however on information it is not showing the complete value, it truncated the string after 700 characters. To see the complete value I have to edit it.    

 

Hi community! I am trying to edit the content of the task with jsp.How do I add the attachments table in Task?I will upload the file from the table and ask the users to advance their tasks. 

I remember seeing that there was an option to checkout the entire family able instances just with a single click in the older windchill.  Currently it is disappeared in Windchill 10. Is there any alternate option to perform the same operation with a single click ? pls suggest.  

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release N/A and Datecode with CPS N/AEnvironment: NX2007 with Workgroup Manager CPS24.User is having Japanese OS, but he is launching NX and WGM as English language.In NX Part file, Windchill System Attribute, PTC_WM_LIFECYLE_STATE = "In Work". "In Work" is appearing as Japanese Kanji symbol. He wants "in Work" to appear as English.

Hello, i have been trying to load into my workspace a old version of a part but i cant do it. I already tried to select the version of the part and selecting Add to workspace and then selecting the drop down to change the config spec. to "as stored and lastly making sure the  Dependents is set to "required". but it doesnt loads the old version but the new. Any idea on how to do it?Im using windchill release 12.0.2.5  and PTC CREO Parametric.      

Hi,please find attached the image.We manually downloaded a Creo file(associated with EPMDocument)  and also tried file download through script. there is a difference between both the files size.1. why there is a difference between files?2. files downloaded through script are not opening in creo due to file size difference. how to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance   

For installing Windchill 10.2 & configure WVS, we need Creo view 3.0 M030 client and Creo view 3.0 adapters . In the PTC software downloads link https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/product.jsp?prodFamily=WPD, there is no Creo View 3.0 it starts with Creo View 7.0 only. So kindly help with the requested set up files or provide the download link for any other suitable versions of Creo View clients & Creo view adaptors compatible for Windchill 10.2. I created a support ticket & PTC replied that they have sustained the support for these older versions.

Hello Community, This is not a usual query that you see in this forum. Since mine is related to PLM I thought of picking your brain. I have been a Windchill Developer for the past four years and I have a good handle on customization aspects of some of the Windchill modules. I now have an opportunity in a new project where I would be working more on the Windchill Administration side such as server installation, upgrade, Import/Export, defining processes for the users. Though this seems interesting, it is not the customization arena. As someone who wants to be a Solution Architect in the future, what would be your advise regarding this? Thanks in advance.    

Dears, I have created a new subtype of change notice and a subtype of change task, when I create a new change notice for a part I need to define the change task, for this change task I am using my own defined subtype, when clicking on the completion of this task I need to use the I need to use a custom Form Delegate to check the lifecycle state of the resulting object when clicking on the completion of the task, I've already implemented it, but this customized function will affect all the change tasks, so is it possible to define the Form Delegate only for a specific subtype? Thank you!  

we have a State based versioning scheme with 2 different version d1,d2,d3 are from in-work to pilot and OR, A,B,C,E. are for after released.with the help of Automatic Revision Mode we achieved this revision but in lifecycle we marked inwork (sop inwork) for revise.so it is not going to targeted state released (SOP). it is revised and move to (sop inwork).anyone kindly do the needful.      

I have created a custom Versioning Scheme which should work with State Change from Approved -> Released ( i.e A.1 (Approved) will change to 1.1 (Released) State change either manually or when triggered in custom Workflow)   Has anyone encountered such issues, as this custom versioning is working for Object Revise action but not for Set State action / in Workflow State Change   Your support is appreciated. I'm trying to attach attachment (local file) to Nonconformance using REST (OData) API.In WRS (Windchill REST Service) - Nonconformance Domain there's no REST endpoint to do so. Please let me know the right approach or API to get the above endpoint for adding an attachment at the time of creation of Nonconformance. Other Information Windchill version - 12.0.2.7Module name - QMSContainer name - NonconformanceObject - WCTYPE|com.ptc.qualitymanagement.nc.NonconformanceNC creation 2nd wizard -> Set attachment -> Attach new local file.

Hello everyone, I'm currently in search of the Windchill customization guide PowerPoint presentation from PTC Academy which I have seen previously. This presentation contains code screenshots and other visual elements. While I already have the customization guide in PDF format, I'm specifically interested in obtaining the PowerPoint presentation. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.     

Our Client work has a need for development. Windchill 12.1.1.0 (12.1.1.5 release) is used. When doing change management and new product releases in Windchill, our designers have difficulties to inspect that all necessary items have been added to the change object (ECN / resulting objects). We can modify the WT-structure view to show "change status" column. That shows us a clear visual view to check that all necessary items (WT-parts) have been added to the change notice. Problem is that in assemblies CAD-structure view its not possible to get "change status" to be shown. The change object (EPR, ECR, ECN) is linked to every WT-part and CAD objects when the object has been added to the change notice. And it can be seen in single part CAD-view etc, but problem is that in bigger assembly views, single CAD-part "change status" cant be seen. The status can be seen in WT-structure view, when selecting the wanted WT-part from the assembly and under "Viewing" - "Show" - CAD

how to get Part List details from Related Objects tabs of WTPART through API(Service Information Manager)    

We have 1 production PDMLink 12.1 server and 2 test/dev 12.1 servers that were created by upgrading from an existing 11.1 server. Built a 4th server with an OOTB installation, and copied over the production Oracle database and ldap export, but get the following error: User not found: unknown web name: "wcadmin". Now when I run the wt.auth.Authentication command, my user/password for wcadmin works. When I try logging on using that user/pw, I get the above mentioned error. I have tried installing PDMLink 12.1 with temp user and OOTB built database, and then changing the information to match the production info, and tried installing against an existing copy of the prod database and ldap info. Seems things are different now that the Windchill Directory Server is no longer bundled with the PDMLink installation. Just wondering if anyone has done something similar for PDMLink 12.1. Hello, I downloaded the PTC Solution Installer for Windchill 13. I'm running the installer on Linux CentOS 9 Stream + Java 17, for somewhat reason, the installer gets blocked on the first step: "Please wait, PTCSolnInstaller is being configured for your system. This may take a moment"Stays like that until I close it. When I go to the /tmp directory I see that the installer creates a install.dir folder. Inside the temp.lax file I see a message:"The installer either could not find a Java VM, or the Java VM on this system is too old. The installer requires Java 1.1.5 or later. It can be downloaded from -java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/".The strange thing is I have Java already installed. Any idea why it cannot find the JVM or it's something else?  

As per this thread - same issue    Hi Sudeep I am facing the exact challenge that you were - finding the API to create a New View Version of an existing part. I was exited to find what seems to be a "yes the API exists" but struggle a bit since I am only used to work with the REST API. Can you provide input to whether the "Create New View Version" also exists in the REST API?
