3D Part & Assembly Design

Greetings, Not sure if this is a Windcill or CAD file or network issue. Has anyone ever had issues opening files in Windchill but another person does not? I have cleared cache, cleared workspace, reset Windchill and still not able to open. One thing to note: We work on different networks that I guess tap into a shared Windchill. This may have something to do with it? I have seen problems with syncing checked in/checked out files. If so, what fixes the problem? Wayne

I created a script as shown in the image and saved it as a .lst file. I also referenced the same file in config.pro. However, when I create a new parameter in Creo, the dropdown list does not appear.Please help me resolve this issue. Note - I also tried with .txt file instead of .lstCreo Version - 11.0.5.0

This problem has really been frustrating me for quite some time...When I create a drawing and insert a view then select the display style to be "no hidden" it usually hides all the hidden lines no problem.But when I enable a section view that is when a whole world of problems occurs.Certain objects don't seem to obey the hidden lines, and they still show all their lines. Specifically it seems to be quilts or something that is having this problem because it only the objects in pink/purple lines that have the problem. I just find it so strange that this only happens with section views.Anyway, I tried editing the section itself by checking off the "Include quilts" option, but that just removed the components entirely rather than just removing the hidden lines.Someone please help me figure out what is going on here.I've attached a photo of the problem. Community,   I have imported a complex model that is made up entirely of quilts, and of course, quilts have edges.  After importing the model into Creo 6 and selecting the No Hidden icon, all the lines still show through like a wireframe display.  I cannot display the model online, but no matter what combination of system colors I try, they always show through, even with Black on White.  There is nothing in the layer tree to turn off, it's all quilts.  Has anyone encountered this before, and is there a solution?  Thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm not really sure how to label this one, but let me try and elaborate: Has anyone else experienced it where there is a delay/lag spike when trying to left click (select) anything in the graphics windows on Creo 11? Calling it a delay probably isn't correct, but Creo 11 (both versions 11.0.0.0 and 11.0.1.0)  just seems to "miss" some of my mouse inputs. It happens randomly when I'm either trying to add a dimension in a 3D sketch; CTRL select edges or surfaces of a 3D model; and also when trying to move balloons in drawings? Essentially left click/selecting anything on a daily basis will just randomly not respond and I have to click again. I always thought it was just me miss clicking but I'm noticing it more and more, and its not limited to a specific model.I have compared it to Creo 10 and it seems to be primarily in 11. I have tried:- Default PTC config- Different mouse- Multiple models 

Hi Forum,   I have an *.asm assembly in Creo View 6.0, displayed in HLR mode as black and white line drawing. When exporting that view to PDF ("Save Current View as 2D Vector File" -> PDF), most of the lines are missing in the resulting PDF.   If I export a single *.prt part from that *.asm assembly to PDF the same way, all lines are shown perfectly.   Thanks for help on how to export also the *.asm assembly with all lines visible in the resulting PDF.

Hi Guys, Im trying to make a mapkey that makes a new file...with the same name that is currently up on the screen just with a -MFG at the end.  Example. Current file on screen. called N12345-1234.prtI want to make a mapkey that will create a NEW part file. Called N12345-1234-MFG.prt. (or what ever the original part name is on the screen with a -MFG added to it) Is there any place i can copy the current name from?  I tried in a few areas, with a copy / paste but the mapkey just copies the text..so the files are always called the same thing. (No good)  They all come out as N12345-1234-mfg.prt no matter what the original file is called.  Is there a way to use parameters when naming a file? Or anyone know of any other way to grab the current file name? Thanks,Jay

As usual, PTC makes it as difficult as possible to find them.  Nice, way to go.  A simple search should find it, especially in the "Support" (LOL, as IF) section.   Anyone know where to find that PDF?   Thx.   Edit:  I FINALLY found it.  Total PITA to find.

I have a small class project.  A number of students have bright blue lines shown on parts, but I do not.  We're all in Creo +.  The lines don't appear in the part view, just the assembly.  They aren't visible sketches, and I've tried hiding all the different layers and I can't make them go away.  What am I missing?  

Hi there, I have a frustrating problem with Model Check.We use screws in our assemblies. Those screw's length is defined by a family table. Unfortunately, ModelCheck always checks those screws in the assembly and causes a "is modified". Even if I check the assembly with the option "top level".  I already added "IF ( MODELNAME EQ ISO* ) NOCHECK" to condition.mcc But no luck. Creo keeps modifying those models nevertheless. If I open the screw itself and run model check, I get a "nocheck", which I expect.  BUT Creo list the model as "modified" anyway. 

Hi,anyone can tell me how turn off the  "welcome to Creo browser" when Creo 9 is turn on? I can't find on the config setting  

I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.4.0 and performing a Model Check on a part and I am looking at the warning for "Annotations with incorrect surface references" which has the name ANNTN_SEM_REF_TEXT_VERIFY.It is telling me that I have the incorrect number of annotations with incorrect surface references.  I am trying to indicate that there are two surfaces that are 1.450 away from datum B, so in the references, I have datum B in the "first dimension reference" and then the two surfaces in the "second dimension reference."  So why is Model Check flagging this?  Am I doing it incorrectly?

Any / All,I would love if Creo had a way to move items on a drawing in small increments easily. Preferably I'd like to use the keyboard arrow keys to "nudge" those items.For context and my immediate need I have a symbol that I've place on a drawing. I can drag it around with the mouse to coarsely place it but then it'd be nice to nudge it with the arrow keys on my keyboard to exactly where I want it to be finally located. This is purely for aesthetic reason at the moment but I could see where, in the future, I might want to sketch something onto a view that needs to line up with other geometry.Is this a current Creo function that I just haven't found?If it's not then is there a way I can maybe tie a move mapkey to my arrow keys or something similar?Google searches on this result in some suggestions to use the shift or ctrl keys with those arrow keys to seemingly do what I want but so far none of that has worked.Any suggestion is welcome. Creo 10.0.7.0I am having trouble to get the result as shown in the picture.How to get parameters of each part´s multibody in a table?I know I have to create a parameter for each BODY, including each PART and for ASSEMBLY.REPEAT REGION allow me to get parameters from ASSY and SUB ASSY, as so as PARTS, but there is no option to insert a parameter like ASM>MBR>BODY>USER DEFINED. 

I'm looking for a way to export or save as multiple CREO 4.0 part (prt) files to step (stp) files into a windows folder.   

Hi,I have 3000 Creo Part and drawings in one folder. Currently all the parts are having some free text in the drawings (Surface Treatment: Painting) , I want to change it to new free text (Surface treatment: Powder coating). Also I want to add revision for that in the same drawing. It will be two column like Revision No (A, B,C...) & Description ( Was painting). How do I do this activity in mass?

Hi all, I have an assembly with 4 sub-assembliesUnder this 4 Subs, i have some components I would like to obtain something like this, but automated with a BOM and special Symbol in place of BOM BalloonsBut... I tried:- Nested tables- A table with several repeat regions (one by Sub-assembly)- table with model columns Without any success.How could i obtain the above result with CREO? Regards

We have an issue with a single user that is unable to send email from within Parametric 10.0.9.0. It will save as and generate files without issue but will just close out of the program entirely when it would usually be opening Outlook. It does this with all file types. Event viewer shows xtop.exe crashing but not much in the way of info. Other users can send without issue. Outlook has been repaired and stripped of add-ins to test. It is functioning fine.

The table in .drw is not updating if I change .frm save and reload. Somrthing in .drw is not updating to see latest format file. SEE IMAGE of .frm and .drwChange in .frm [B TO C]Upadte in .drw still show B

Hi,I am new to this Creo composites module, i would like to seek your help on few queries related to composites.1. While we add multiple Ply on a model, how can we change the sequence when we are trimming the ply based on my requirements. Currently the ply sequence is opposite from my expectations. Attached image for your reference.2. How do we understand what is wrong when we see the Drape status as can't able to drape in drape manager window? What should be corrected? how to analyze?3. Can we manage the length of the ply manually? likewise while we apply the first ply we should be able to manage the length or key in the length value? is this possible? ThanksNaresh

Hello, I’m having an issue in Creo Drawing:When I select a dimension and go to the Tolerance tab, all options (General, Shaft, Hole) are greyed out/uneditable.I have already enabled tolerances in the model properties.I have already retrieved ISO tolerance tables.The dimension is not a reference or driven dimension.Curiously, some drawings work fine, and their Tolerance tab is fully editable.Has anyone encountered this? How can I enable the Tolerance tab to edit tolerances in drawing dimensions?Thank you!

im a begginer and im having trouble making a cooling vent on a revolved surface ... i could just sketch the all the shape on one quarter ( mirror after ) then project it and maybe use punch or something like that to get the slots , but it seems like too much work and not really the smart thing to do , is there any other way i could do this ? not only the patterining it self is a problem but also having the pattern not cross the 120 diamter circle and the smaller circle ( the one with the hole ) , the modle comes from an exam question at the uni im learining at ... im using creo 10.9 thanks a lot
