Dear PTC Technical Support Team,I am using PTC Kepware KEPServerEX version 6.18 and have the Advanced Tags plug-in installed.I have connected a machine through its OPC UA server and am receiving a tag with the String data type. The string contains multiple fields separated by a pipe (|) delimiter.Example input string:123|Temperature|25.6|°CThe string format is:ID|Name|Value|UnitI need to extract only the third field (25.6) and make it available as a separate tag in KEPServerEX. The source string updates continuously, so the extracted value must update automatically whenever the source tag changes. My questions are:Does KEPServerEX 6.18 support extracting a specific field from a String tag using the built-in Advanced Tags or Derived Tags functionality? If yes, please provide the exact, valid expression syntax and step-by-step configuration instructions to extract the third field between the second and third | delimiters. What should the destination tag's data type be if I need the extrac

Hello PTC Community,I am a student at AKAD University in Germany, and I am trying to install and activate PTC Creo Parametric 8.0.3.0 Student Edition for my CAD course. The software installation was completed successfully, but I cannot generate or activate the student license.I am using the product code provided in the official university installation instructions:BK800908EDSTUDENTEDUNIWhen I try to generate a Node-Locked License, I receive the following error:"The product(s) you are trying to install using this Product code are either already installed or do not exist on this Product Code. Please contact PTC License Management team with case number ..."Here is what I have already checked: My PTC Academic Account has been created and verified. Creo 8.0.3.0 is installed successfully. I have tried reconfiguring the existing installation as administrator. The PTC Host ID matches my computer's physical network adapter. The folder C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing does not exist. No lic

I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeM005 Invalid host I'm trying to move my old mathcad 15.0 license to my home computer. I get Flexnet licensing error -9,57. I've tried generating licenses with both the ethernet mac and the wifi mac. I tried putting the laptop on ethernet and verifying that port was active with the matching license file. Here are the errors that I faced Invalid Host... Feature: Mathcad Hostid: PTC_Hostid=40:c2:ba:fe:42:7b (this is the ethernet mac) Flexnet error:-9,57 etc.

Does anyone know whether this case was solved and closed?

1. Describe the ProblemHello, I am currently analyzing the compatibility of Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 and Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 with Windchill 13.0.2.3. Based on the official compatibility reports, both Creo versions have different minimum Windchill version requirements:Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 is compatible with Windchill 12.0.2.0, including 12.1.0.0 and 13.0.0.0.Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 requires Windchill 12.1.2.8, including 13.0.2.0Since Windchill 13.0.2.3 is slightly beyond the confirmed 13.0.2.0 version, I want to confirm whether both Creo 9.0.4.0 and 11.0.0.0 will work seamlessly on Windchill 13.0.2.3. Specifically, I would appreciate insights on:Any known issues or limitations when running Creo 9.0.4.0 on Windchill 13.0.2.3Whether Creo 11.0.0.0 has any additional dependencies or updates needed for compatibility.Experiences from anyone who has tested these versions on Windchill 13.0.2.3.Your inputs would be highly valuable in planning the best approach for system upgrades an

Dear Team, We are using Auto Associate option to create WTPart while doing checkin of CAD documents. Now, for some numbering scheme - Suppose the CAD number included “Dummy” then for that CAD document - We don’t want to create WTPart in Windchill. We are still following the same approach - WTPart creation using Auto Associate option. How can we achieve this scenario?

HeyI have a Mould that has 3 BodiesWhen I make a drawing I want to show only one of each bodies. My goal is in the 1st sheet I will show the views of  top part of the mouldin the 2nd sheet I will show the views of middle part of the mouldin the 3rd sheet I will show the views bottom part of the mouldand in the 4th sheet I will show 1 view top part and another view middle part and so on.. each sheet will have top view, bottom view and side views of the body  Please let me know how I can do it

How can I hide specific tabs (Affected End Items, Affected Objects, Attachments, and Associations) on the Change Request creation page for a particular Change Request type?"

HiI am on Creo 10.0.1.0While features such as Holes, Rounds, Chamfers etc can be grouped using query in Layers, wondering if the same can be done in the “Design Tree”.Filtering the design tree and dragging and dropping the features into the custom group is a manual process which we would like to avoid. The reason being, every time a new feature such as a round is added, it would not become a part of the custom group, without a manual intervention.Help documentation is silent on this aspect.I am aware that this can be done through layers. Thanks in advance.

I am using PTC RV&S (formerly Integrity Lifecycle Manager) Release 12.4 and Datecode12.4.0.0 We are currently running PTC Windchill RV&S 12.4.0.0. Our licensing is managed with FlexNet 11.17.1.0 on Windows Server 2016. We need to update FlexNet to 11.19.6 or 11.19.8, and need to confirm compatibility with PTC Windchill RV&S 12.4.0.0. Can you please confirm: 1) Whether Windchill RV&S 12.4.0.0 supports FlexNet 11.19.6/11.19.8. 2) Whether the existing PTC vendor daemon and licence file can be retained or need updating. 3) Any specific FlexNet or OS requirements for this combination.

Does someone know how to use the“new JSON-based source control format, currently available as a preview capability in 10.2”feature? I can’t find anything in docs or by trying export via Composer I only get .xml files as before. I activated beta features in PlatformSubsystem, but also no luck with it.

The project configuration seems really limited. Only allowing one person at a time to connect and make changes. We were hoping the API would help but it seems to require giving itself write access over and over again for every edit you make, changing the project ID and not allowing, as far as I can tell, any kind of bulk import. So if I want to manipulate 100 tags it gives itself write access 100 different times and is fairly slow.I'm not sure but it seemed like anytime the API was manipulated anything if there was another user live looking at the project they lost access.Am I missing something? Is there a way to have more than one user editing a project at a time? Is there any way to bulk import devices and channels and tags in one shot with the API?

Hi,I want to upgrade Kepware from V7.0.236.0 to V7.1.271.0.Wanted to ask is there a need to uninstall the V7.0.236.0 version or we just need to install the V7.1.271.0 through the .exe file and it will get auto upgraded?Kindly help.

I have multiple alarm tags in PLC.  I need to set an integer (long) value based on those tags such as If tag1 = true then 1000 or if tag2 = true then 1005 or if tag3 = true then 1010 I can’t seem to figure out a formula that will let me do something like that.

We are using Kepware server as OPC UA server as well as OPC UA client in two different machines. When I try to connect Server at Client, Server's certificate is automatically getting fetched in Client's 'Trusted servers' tab of OPC UA Configuration manager, which I am trusting manually. Similarly, when I again try to connect Server at Client, Client's certificate is getting fetched in Server's 'Trusted Clients' tab of OPC UA Configuration manager , which I am trusting manually. However, again when I am trying to connect still I am getting 'Client or server certificate invalid . Configure or verify the certificates' log in Server and not able to connect.  With Security policy set as NONE the communication is working, hence there is no TCP port connectivity issue, but when Security Policy: Basic256Sha256, the communication failing. I tried reissuing certificates using OPC UA Configuration manager and manually exporting and importing certificates from Server and Client but same issue is c

Hi, I have a List widget placed as a menu on the Master. The issue is that when I hover over the selected List Item, it shows a white border around the label on all four sides. Thanks,

When a PCB needs to carry significantly higher current, simply increasing the trace width is not always enough. There are several factors that need to be considered during the PCB design stage to make sure the board can handle the electrical and thermal requirements.Copper thickness is one of the first things I would evaluate. A high-current design may require thicker copper depending on the expected current and allowable temperature rise. Trace width, copper pours, and the overall current path are also important because resistance in the PCB can result in voltage drop and heat generation.Thermal management is another consideration. Components such as MOSFETs, regulators, connectors, and power devices can generate significant heat, so the PCB layout needs to provide suitable copper area and thermal paths. Vias can also be useful for transferring heat and connecting copper between layers. The return-current path is just as important as the power path. Poorly planned ground connections ca

I’m noticing issues when attempting to login to eSupport, the PTC Community, and the Learning Connector from a smart phone. Attempting to login to eSupport hops through a pile of redirects and forces the user through three different login screens. See attached video for a capture of this process. Attempting to login to the PTC Community directly does not work at all.  It redirects to https://sso.ptc.com and then fails.  I’m getting around this by logging into eSupport first and then logging into the PTC Community using that cached login. Attempting to access the Learning Connector from a cell phone (Google Chrome) just goes into a never-ending loop and fails to log in.  I’m guessing it’s related to the same redirects shown above.
