I am using PTC Product View (Formerly Creo View) Release 2027.0 and Datecode2027.0.0 Dear PTC Support Team, I would like to confirm whether Creo View MCAD can directly open and view native CATIA files, including CATPart and CATProduct files. Could you please clarify which CATIA versions and file formats are supported, and whether any additional licenses, adapters, or file conversion steps are required? I would also like to evaluate Creo View MCAD before recommending it to our customers. Could you please provide a download link for the installer, along with a trial or evaluation license and installation instructions? The purpose of this evaluation is to test CATIA compatibility and assess whether the software meets our customers’ requirements. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Hien Le

Hello, I have created a Mathcad sheet where I can find the capacity of a footing on a competent soil. The sheet is working but I would like to optimize at certain areas. My first improvement would be to see if instead of manually putting them as arrays, if it is possible to put in a condensed way so I do not have to type in the layer properties manually in case there are more than 10 or even 100 layers. My Second improvement will be if there is way to have a shortened code where “Footing Layer Ends” does the same output. Currently, it is for four layers but I would like to have it in a way that if there are multiple layers, it will handle the task instead of writing multiple if-else stateemnts. Thank you in advance. My version is 10.0.1.0

Description:We would like to explore the possibility of integrating Microsoft Copilot with CodeBeamer to enable seamless access to data stored within the application.Currently, users need to manually navigate through CodeBeamer to access requirements, test cases, work items, tasks, defects, and related project information. The proposed enhancement is to allow Copilot to read and retrieve relevant data directly from CodeBeamer, enabling users to interact with the system using natural language queries.Expected Capabilities:Allow Copilot to connect securely to CodeBeamer and access authorized data. Enable users to query requirements, test cases, defects, work items, releases, and other artifacts using conversational prompts. Facilitate quick retrieval of information without manually searching within CodeBeamer. Provide summarized views of requirements, test coverage, defect status, and project progress. Support generation of reports and insights based on CodeBeamer data. Respect existing

Hello,We sometime change your mind during the assembly about how or if a component should be traced.Change the Trace Code value for an Instance Child is not possible in a Part Instance or in a Part Configuration.Windchill 12.0.2.8We will have to do a lot of work to just update this attribute for one Child.Example:1-Modify the Base Part, which is in Released state, that's mean a Revision (And a Change Notice).2-Create a new Part Configuration for this new version of the Base Part. (And set version of untraced child)3-Assign the existing Parent Instance to the new Part Configuration.4-Re-allocate all the child with trace code previously allocated.=> But if there is already a new revision on the Base Part, this is not possible by the user because the only way is to iterate the previous released revision. It is possible to allow modification of the usage attribute Trace Code for a child in a Part Instance or in a Part Configuration ?Thanks

Hello, I need additional information to those available in the Help Center documentation for Part Configuration and Instance.Windchill 12.0.2.8When allocating child Instance in a Parent Instance Structure, it is OK to have Untraced sublevel BOM containing child with Trace Code Serial Number or Lot which will be allocated from this Parent Instance ?It seems that this is possible but it is recommended ?In our case, these untraced level in the Manufacturing BOM Structure are like Gathering Part, it correspondent to intermediate advancement of the assembly, not item in stock. For me it is OK until these untraced sub-levels have a quantity of one, if up to one, there is a problem to link child occurrence with Reference Designator (Position in the product). What is your point of view ?Thanks

Hello, i think i have a similar need to this topic: Part Instance Allocation | CommunityContext: Engineering to order, small batch of End-Product <10.In our BOM, i have a big number of fastener with a “Lot” Trace Code. All these fasteners are from one “Lot” coming from a sub-contractor and need to be used in the same end-product instance.I would like to be able to select multiple occurrences (From different Part numbers if possible) set with “Lot” Trace Code and allocate in one action this Lot Number.=> For me, this must not be allowed for a Serial Number because by nature it is a single occurrence.Actually, we need to allocate each occurrence one by one.=> It can be one of the argument to stop using PLM for the as-built BOM and manage it all outside the PLM.A solution should be to create a Gathering Part in Manufacturing view grouping the fastener and supporting the Trace Code Lot Number but this may complicate things to manage replacement for loss or breakage and later to aut

I am using Windchill Bulk Migrator Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.0.2 Hello Team, When I ran the windchill --javaargs="-Dwt.auth.trustedAuth.username=* " com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.loaders.wc.epm.Preverifier have some of the objects are failed, which will be attaching , just for giving to you the Info, I Have got error code as FT"20470" in ERROR Table - I have fallowed the article : cs275076 and Point #1. Especially. Now the question, is 22 Document numbers are deleted from INT_EPMDOCUMENTMASTER and sub sequent table records count was reduced. If the customer has asked an question that, why those are not loaded. what to answer them ? Out of those object numbers, which I can open it on source system, why those are not loading into Target system ? Request to please let me know. Here are the errors that I faced Error code: FT 20470

Hi - I’m interested in learning more about Pure Variants. Is there an example project somewhere I can take a look at to become more familiar with Pure Variants? Thanks!

In the BOM Transfer window, under "Made from Part Usage Link", only the Semi-Finished and Mounting categories are available in the Link Category field.  The Raw Material category is not displayed as an available option.  Could you please confirm whether it is possible to enable or use the Raw Material category?

ThingWorx 10.1.0-b47, SDK Utility build matching 10.1.A custom Gen-2 (Lit-based) Web Component widget, built with the official ThingWorx Web Component SDK Utility (mub).imports and renders correctly in Mashup Builder, but its Style Properties panel shows zero rows. The StyleTheme picker is visible, but nothing underneath, not even a flat list, just empty. We're able to fall back to classic STYLEDEFINITION-based styling, but our goal is the style dictionary tree.Is there a required steps beyond a normal mub build + import for a Gen-2 widget's style dictionary to show up in Style Properties?

Hello everyone,I am running Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0 Education on Windows 11 ARM inside Parallels Desktop 20.4 on an Apple Mac mini M4 Pro with 12 Cores and 24 GB of RAM for the Virtual Machine. After adding the following lines at the beginning of parametric.psfENV=PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64ENV=PRO_MACHINE_TYPE=x86e_win64Creo starts and works correctly in Shaded mode. However, as soon as Shaded with Edges is enabled, severe graphical corruption appears. Hundreds of incorrect black lines are drawn between unrelated vertices. The surfaces themselves are rendered correctly.Interestingly, during the first second while the model is still loading, the edges are displayed correctly. The corruption only appears after the loading process has finished.Changing edge_display_quality from very_high to low only changes the edge quality but does not solve the issue.Larger assemblies also eventually crash with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.Trying the same on an older MacBook Air M1, Creo runs significan

Has anyone got any training materials or tips on using Creo manufacturing functionality to program a wire EDM machine? We have a “Complete Machining” license. I’ve been using the standard 3-axis milling functionality (with a 0.010 inch “endmill”) to generate the necessary G-code for 2D profiles. It’s fine, I guess. My problem is when I need to define non-2D cuts. I’ve been resorting to creating points at the different Z heights of the cuts and “processing” them via Excel to create G-code with the necessary X, Y, U, and V values. It’s not fun.So, if anyone has been doing wire EDM programming and wants to point me to any information that might make it more efficient for me, please let me know. Perhaps there are 4- or 5-axis methods that would work, with the proper post-processor? Will I have to write my own post?

Is it possible to show the hole note as a column in the hole table instead of just the diameter?

Is it possible to trim a radial axis pattern centerline ina drawing? ie: A bolt hole pattern centerline?Solution: Turn view into a partial view and cut off the excess centerline with view spline. So easy I couldn't see it staring me in the face. Thanks to all who replied so quickly. Wayne, I agree this isn't a preferred method, but for these parts which are made in house, it will work. Thanks!Chris<u></u>This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
