I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS22 We are assessing a migration from Windchill 11.0 to 12.0 and need to assess the utilization of Products, Libraries, Projects and other containers. We need to identify container creation/modification dates, object counts by container (WTPart, WTDocument, EPMDocument, Change objects, etc.), latest object creation/modification activity, and available indicators to identify actively used vs. potentially inactive containers. Please advise the PTC-supported approach using Query Builder/Report Builder, Report Manager, OOTB reports, APIs/REST Services or other supported methods. If not feasible, please confirm whether a read-only Oracle DB query is supported and provide the relevant classes/tables and relationships. Also, please confirm which timestamp and version/iteration should be considered for latest activity.

I'm using Creo Parametric 11.0.4.0. When I do File > Save As > Save a Copy and pick Creo View (*.pvz), the export fails and the message bar says "Creo View recipe file(proepview.pvr) can not be found." Here's what I've tried so far.In the Options dialog I left the three recipe fields blank and I saved the profile to confirm they really were empty.I looked in the config.pro and config.sup in Common Files and didn't see anything about recipes or Creo View. I also couldn't find intf_pv_recipe_dir or intf_out_pvs_recipe_file in the Configuration Editor, even though older posts mention them. When I searched my install, I found proepview.pvr in Common Files\applications\cvadapters\prodview\recipe, and export_pvs.rcp in Common Files\text\prodview. An older post here said they should be in the same folder, so I copied proepview.pvr into text\prodview. I also pointed export_profiles_creoview at that folder, restarted Creo, and tried again, but I still get the same error.Does anyone know w

In Table View, narrow columns will cut off summaries and reference fields. Can they wrap so the full cell contents is viewable?

Hi all, I am using AutoDesk Inventor from long time. now we are looking for Integrate AutoDesk Inventor with Windchill. Can anyone please share technical information!  to begin like.. - I mean what's procedure for this? We already using having Windchill and using with Creo 3.0. - Does we need to purchase a special license from PTC Windchill supplier or from AutoDesk Inventor to start.   Thank you very much in advance, Best regards, Dnyaneshwar Maid

Hello all,I am curious if anyone has made the move from Wiris’s MathFlow for Arbortext to Wiris’s MathType for XML Editors in Arbortext successfully. If so, were any problems encountered in your transition? Is there anything not covered in the MathType documentation that you found helpful to know? If your workflow involves publishing XML to PDF, are you able to print math with MathType installed? If so, which print engine do you use in Arbortext? My organization has encountered some roadblocks with this transition, and I am curious if anyone else has made it succesfully.Thank you

Industrial environments have never been short of data. The challenge has always been connecting that data, understanding its context, and making it available to the applications that need it.A machine might publish a temperature value. A production system might know which line that machine belongs to. An MES might know which production order is running. An analytics application might want to consume all of this information. The data exists—but historically, connecting these systems often meant building integrations around individual systems, properties, and point-to-point connections. That model becomes increasingly difficult as industrial environments grow more connected. With ThingWorx 10.2.1, the MQTT extension is taking an important step forward with MQTT v5, bringing modern MQTT capabilities, stronger security, improved responsiveness, and—perhaps most importantly for modern industrial architectures—greater awareness of the context carried by MQTT topics. This is where MQTT v5 and Un

From debugging and source control to automation, testing, and AI-assisted development, a look at how the ThingWorx developer experience is evolving.Modern application development is no longer just about writing code. Developers expect integrated source control, repeatable workflows, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and increasingly, AI-assisted development. These capabilities have become standard across the broader software development ecosystem because they help teams move faster, improve software quality, and scale engineering practices.ThingWorx application developers face many of the same challenges. As applications become larger and more collaborative, developers need better ways to troubleshoot issues, manage changes, automate repetitive tasks, validate functionality, and leverage emerging AI technologies without sacrificing reliability. To address these challenges, recent investments in ThingWorx developer tooling have focused on making the platform more compatible with modern

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS F000 Migration process fails at Verify Supported Upgrade Path, acording to PTC that because there are different disk installations, but I can't match the install disks Source Version: PDML.10.2.30.23.04,WSP.10.2.30.23.04,VIZPVIEWRUN.10.3.10.00.27,WHC.10.2.30.00.39,VIZADAPTERS.13.3.10.00.27,IE.10.2.30.23.04,SOLR.10.2.30.18.04,COMMONPDM.10.2.30.23.04,WGM.10.2.30.22.03,WNC.10.2.30.23.04 Target Version: ODATA.2.5.0.00.395,WHC.11.1.20.21.01,WSP.11.1.20.30.16,PDML.11.1.0.00.685,IE.11.1.20.30.16,WNC.11.1.20.30.16,COMMONPDM.11.1.20.30.16

When I open the installer for my free trial and get to the application selection screen there are no applications to select and I cannot click next. I’ve seen this posted in the past but none of the solutions are working fore me. Any help is appreciated.

I have an assembly with almost 500 parts in it.  Is there a way to change all the densities at once?  More ideally, I would like to be able to select large groups and change, say ~300 parts to one density, then select another large group (steel), say ~200 parts to change to a different density (aluminum).  I do not want to have to change the density part by part in the model tree showing MP_Density.  I would prefer solution where I can select the large groups, then change all their densities together in a few steps.     Thanks, Will

I own a perpetual Mathcad 14.0 M020 Single User license purchased directly from PTC. The legacy MCLicense.exe utility authenticates to my PTC account, but the activation request fails with HTTP 403 Forbidden before a license.dat is generated. Since license.dat is never created, Mathcad reports that C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad 14\licenses\license.dat does not exist. Can someone generate a replacement license.dat or License Pack manually? My old PC crashed so I am unable to locate the old file.

Is there a way to adjust (or slide) the Datum along its extension line on a Creo drawing? I remember you used to be able to do that but it seems that’s no longer the case. Please see attachment.

Hi Creo Community, I am trying to use Creo Trial via PTC and am having issues installing it on my machine (Windows 11), and I would like to see if anyone has had the same issue, and if so, could let me know what fixed it for them. After calling PTC support, they have said they don’t help with Creo Trial issues and that I should ask community.ptc.com for help even if I have a past customer number with PTC.The issue: I am able to download the file “Creo Parametric 13.4.0.0 CloudPlay” (2.5MB) from the Trial page, but when I try to install using this .exe I either get to the Creo Parametric splash screen and it hangs for hours or the splash screen disappears and the .exe file auto-deletes itself from my Windows Explorer “Downloads” folder.I have tried turning off the Windows Defender Firewall and running the .exe file as an administration, but the issues seem mostly the same. If anyone has be able to get through similar issues, please let me know, thank you

I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS CPS02 We run the Enterprise Edition on a server. We no longer have a dedicated IT application person on staff so we've lost our application expertise. The issue I'm having is with a project backup. I'm able to select the project I want to backup, go through the backup steps and get the message that the backup completed successfully. But, we can't find the backup file. It's not stored locally on my PC and our IT person wasn't able to locate it on the server. Knowing where the backup file would be saved, the file name and extension would help with the search. Here are the errors that I faced No error messages.

I’m trying to replace a 3x3x3/16 steel square tube with a 3x3x.25 aluminum tube.  In 3 positions the switch worked.  The other positions will ‘churn’ and then not update the filename and the OK will stay greyed out.  What is happening and is there something i can do? Only 3 positions were updatedYou can see that it won’t update the filename.  I’ve switched from steel to alum. The message log says that its been regenerated but that's not the case

Background: I’m working on a requirement to filter all Product and Library containers in an Organization based on the template they were created from. So I need to read the template associated with each container.Has anyone successfully retrieved template information for Product or Library containers without hitting this recursion issue or any recommended API for this job? What I’ve tried so far: ContainerTemplateService.getContainerTemplate(...) I attempted calling the getContainerTemplate API using both the container’s own reference and the OrgContainer reference. In all cases, the method consistently returns null, even for containers that I know were created from a template. WTContainer.getContainerTemplateReference().getName() This API does return a template name when called once, but any further processing (such as checking startsWith(...)) triggers a runtime failure:java.lang.StackOverflowError    at wt.method.RemoteMethodServer.invoke    at wt.fc.CachedObjectReference.inflate
