Community, Why is the number of frames selection greyed out for non-linear analysis?  When trying to animate, there is no control to slow down the animation, as the animation moves back-and-forth rapidly.  Thanks in advance.

Is there no way to have a master material, say, Al6061 applied to multiple parts?If I update the master material all the parts that were already made with this material do not get updated. So now to enforce the master material I need to manually select and re-assign the same material......Surely there's a way of making the Library a reference for said part(s)?

Hi, I am experiencing this same issue. The Drag tool notices the Clash and pushes the object. Hi community, I am trying to measure the maximum and minimum stress at a point for a specified coordinate system (shell model). In other words - I am trying to asses the bending contribution in a plate by measuring the maximum stress (on for example the top of the plate) and the corresponding minimum stress (on the bottom of the plate). Frustratingly, you can not measure maximum and minimum stress directly at a point, so I have set the spatial evaluation to "Near Point"  and specified a small radius of 1[mm]. This measure is applied to multiple points in a pattern as shown in the attached screenshot. Multiple measures can be applied to the same point.  The parts containing these measures form part of a larger assembly/sub assemblies. Before adding the measures, analyses run past the "Begin Engine Bookkeeping" step in the run log in a few seconds. Enable Volumetric flow rate & volumetric flux in section window of post processing Creo Flow Analysis. Can anyone suggest any workaround? when will PTC introduce these variables in Creo Flow Analysis ? Is there any development / work going on related to this subject?  

Hello All,We have a problem with the Ansys Simulation module in Creo 11.0.0.0. When we run the simulation with the default settings, it always shows the message: "Solve I Failed I 0% completed," even when running with a simple part, and then stops without showing any results.We had no such problem in Ansys Simulation when using Creo 10 on the same hardware. Why is this happening?Our hardware: Windows 11, 28 GB memory, AMD Epyc 7V12 (4 CPUs), 2.4GHz, and NVIDIA T4. Thanks in advance to anyone who may assist us solve this issue.

Hello all, I am having issues with incomplete boundaries formed when I apply seperate mesh parameters to two parts. This mesh size difference is required due to the size of the part and fluid transfer taking place in the pipes (it's a cold plate).This incomplete boundary means that there is almost no thermal transfer between the two parts as the meshes don't actually touch the majority of the time. Both parts are meshed with different parameters in both relative and absolute terms but with zero minimum cell size, and done via 'update', so my belief was that they should follow a common boundary. Is there a technique I should use to ensure consistent boundaries with the seperate mesh parameters? Below are a couple of images. The X-section shows a clear disconnect between the two meshes, and the coloured plot shows the blue general boundary that has suceeded between the two parts.  Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have spent many hours trying to solve th

I’m wondering if it’s possible to perform FEM simulations with the student version of Creo 11, specifically for lattice structures. Does the student version support this type of simulation? Also, is there a way to export lattice structures from Creo to Ansys Workbench for FEM analysis? Standard formats like STEP and IGES don’t work for transferring these detailed structures. If anyone has experience or knows of an alternative method for exporting lattice geometries to Ansys, I’d appreciate any advice!

I recently discovered an interesting trick in Creo Simulate. Normally, it is not possible to place constraints on the weighted links. When starting a static analysis, a fatal error occurs. Therefore, instead of constraints, e.g. springs to ground are required. However, if the static analysis is integrated in a fatigue analysis, Creo forgets the pre-check and calculates without problems 🤣

In Creo 10 Flow Analysis, when I try to create a mesh for analysis with a model containing 3 or more domains, the meshes for some domains are not generated.Also, the I/F between domains is not recognized.In our previous use of Flow Analysis in Creo 7, a mesh was generated for all domains in a model with up to 7 domains and all inter-domain I/Fs were identified.(We are not aware of the maximum allowable number of domains.)Using this previous model used in Creo 7 Flow Analysis, or creating another new model, does not work in Creo 10 Flow Analysis.Note that even in Creo 10's Flow Analysis, mesh generation and inter-domain I/F identification is still possible for up to two domains.Is there any special way to handle equal or more than 3 domains in Creo 10 Flow Analysis?thanks

I am using Creo Simulate in Creo 9.0.3.0I am having an issue during analysis of structural components using frictionless contact interfaces. The issue is that the defined contact interfaces are occasionally ignored during the analysis process. I have started 2 analyses at the same time with the same mesh and had this issue in only one of them. I have been having this issue in multiple, completely unrelated models.

I am having trouble with using the spring idealization in simulate. We are on Creo 9.0.8.0. I read through the different PTC resources and have tried a variety of different tactics to see if I could get a model that makes sense. At this point, I think it has to be a lack of experience/understanding on my part. I attached the files I could. I am at the point now where I will probably just create a surrogate material with the properties I need to continue, but I would like to understand where I am going wrong. I used Spring point-point pairs where the point is on the surface of the model. Tried constraining the points to be rigid and leaving them free. Tried "burying" the point inside the material. Tried using holes in the material with the points centered on them with both rigid and free connections. We tried to go through our reseller to have their consultant help, but unfortunately that guy had some recent medical trouble and is unavailable. Any help or advice would be great

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to measure radial forces, axial force and moments acting on beam.I' ve been trying to achieve it by compouted measure but than quickly realized that moments which also acting on the same beam completely ruins the result of a calculations. Example:How can I measure radial forces and moments acting on a beam so at the end i can draw two vectors of forces and moments?Example model is in description. Idea of example model is following: model has known forces and moments acting on the middle of the beam(they are given by load case). Measures has to measure the same values given by loadcase.  1N in X, 1N in Y, 1N in Z, -1Nm in X, -1Nm in Y and -1Nm in Z 

Hi, I am trying to run the torque analysis on the flange assembly with stiffeners welded using weld features. I'm using Mechanism Feature to analyze a position of pin joint that is driven by a slider moving at a constant speed of 2 mm/s over a duration of 6 seco    However, I'm having trouble understanding the graph when I select the "Measure vs Measure" option. The X-axis represents the joint's rotation in degrees, which makes sense. But I'm unsure what the Y-axis represents.   Could someone please explain what the Y-axis measure might indicate in this context? or maybe explain whats the objective of Measure vs measure graph type.

Are there specific settings or steps I need to follow to ensure the velocity of the pin joint is calculated correctly?

Hello all, first time post, long time lurker.    I've recently dabbled into CREO simulate. I'm having trouble working with fasteners and understanding why such low fastener preloads produce insanely high stress values. I'm using CREO 7.0 When I apply only 10N of preload to my fastener (1/2"), I get thousands of MPa on the metal plates. I have no external loads applied. 25000MPa. WHY? Here's a look at my fastener.And here's my material.Please help me understand what is going on. Thank you.

I recently made some CDF-Live Simulations and thought that the particle animation is really slow.It turns out, when dragging or rotating the part the animation is fluid.GPU = 3080 ti also happens with 2070 Super, and 1660 TI MobileDrivers - Newest and i also tried the latest WHQL driversWin 10 and 11 I checked the Monitor and found that Creo (once the object stands still) lowers the refresh rate to about 3-5 FPS, (usually wanted) , but it also happened when a particle animation is running. When dragging the model the refresh rate jumps to the usual 250+ and the animation is smooth. I attached a short Video demonstrating the effect (sorry for the music and outro, i tried some presets)I searched quite some time for a config Option, but i didn't find much related to refresh rate or CFD-Live.The few Commands i found didn't solve the issueMFG Raimund

I'm starting to play around more with Creo Flow and am a little unclear about the available options for modeling the boundary layer1) Is there an option to select a laminar boundary layer or is everything just modeled using a turbulent BL with k-eps formulation?2) Are there other turbulent BL options other than k-eps?3) does the k-eps BL option include an intelligent wall formulation, where the cells in the BL that have a y+ lower than some cutoff value are ignored?4) What are some of the levers that I can pull to achieve y+ values in the typically desired range of 13-31?Thanks!MArk
