People have been asking for this since at least 2013. Case in point: https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/Setting-default-units-in-Mathcad-Prime-3-0/m-p/59447#M23559 This seems like a pretty trivial thing, so it kinda just blows my mind that eight years later we STILL cannot modify the default units for results in Mathcad Prime, like we were able to in Mathcad 15. To make it clear what I'm talking about: I understand that I can set the default unit SYSTEM, (to SI, USCS, or CGS) which is great and all. However, let's say for example I'd like for all pressure calculation results to have units of KSI by default. In Mathcad Prime, this very simple feature is not included. The program displays all USCS pressure calculation results in PSI. I can then manually change the units of the result to be whatever I'd like, of course. But imagine doing this over and over again while doing a series of lengthy calculations. This wasted time adds up, my workflow is impacted, and the resu
Hey, how did you do it ? I need to convert .xcmd to .sm urgently
For CREO 11, to run like a butter, which one is the choice? Can you please suggest. Thanks.I do lot of rendering and work on huge assemblies. Military Aircrafts. My work is not stuck with what I have but I want to only go ahead if there is a quantum difference. I do not want to regret the buy! See Image for existing and thinking to buy specifications. THANK IN ADVANCE!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0CreoのDRWファイルで、レイアウトタブの表示>スナップ線 が起動時から表示されています。これを、起動時からデフォルトで非表示にしたいのですが、どのように設定すれば良いでしょうか?
I am using Creo 10. I have a number of udfs meant for Hydraulic Manifold Block design ease. It is all independant udfs. I had started developing them from about 2005. It includes BSP/NPT ports, angle holes, holes within holes, cartridge cavities etc. It comes out with its own 3D note which can be pulled into the 2D drawings, thus ensuring data transmissibility. Hole tables are also creatable, with hole coordinates in each plane being measured from the centre of the block. But this can be changed, if one so desires. If anyone is interested in using them, please ping me.A note to the moderator:I am a retired Hydraulic designer (32 years). These tools come with that rich experience built into them. I am not demanding money or anything in return. I just want to see the tools prosper in all environs Saju

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I create counterbored holes using the hole feature in my model. When I create my 2D drawing, I create a hole table. The table will give me the through diameter of the hole, but I can't get it to show the counter bore diameter, or the counter bore depth. How do you add the counter bore diameter and depth?
It doesn't put the hole axes in the side views or sectionsWhy?
Hi, I'm trying to assign my parts as Natural Rubber in Creo, but I couldn't find the rubber material in my Creo material library. Could you please help me with this?
Hi, I'm wondering that the value of Damping Coefficient (%) in dynamic analysis is same as Damping Ratio? If not same how can I find this value? Thank you.
Hello ptc community, Is it possible to get an overview to loading cycles. For Example a big assembly should get loaded to Creo, my point of view at Creo 4.0 is, that i only can watch at the taskmanager that the file gets loaded (throgh looking at the RAM load, CPU and GPU have not much to do at that state). Also between loading utilizations the programm is kind of locked until the File is completly available.I think a progress bar maybe with a percentage value would give an overview of the task. For program commands (for example: clusters) there is already a progress bar that shows the final calculated geometry that has been clustered. Yours sincerelyAlexander
Hi thereI want to exclude some values from d when it is bigger than the width .... I want the program to just exclude the values that do not fulfil the condition, I used this program ,but it shows strange error ...I'm sure both of them have the same units How to fix this ?
Hello ptc community, If I create a List of materials (BOM) of an large assembly, the list does overlap with the frame of the drawing. Is it possible to split the list from one to two, to shorten the length? I know that I could use a bigger format for example to change from an A3 sheet to A2.But if everything fits to the format sheet (If the list is split to two) it would be worse to take a bigger sheet. Version of creo is 4.0 Yours sincerely,Alexander
Hi there, I am trying to create a view in a part or assembly by web.link. What works:Rotate and pan view by mouseOR: Rotate view by "CurrentModel.CurrentViewRotate(0, 30)"Save view with "CurrentModel.SaveView("newView")What does not work:Create a transform matrixCreate a Transform3D object with "let newtrans = pfcCreate("pfcTransform3D").Create( newmatrix)Rotate / transform the current view with "CurentModel.SetCurrentViewTransform(newtrans)"What am I doing wrong? Hi, Our current drawings use stroke font as the default for drawings. But we need them to be with Truetype font. The reason behind it is that we need to manipulate the PDFs after Creo generating them. By simply use "use Truetype font" option during PDF export does not work well. The default Truetype font looks very different from the stroke font and also is much wider. Hence cause issues to fit into the table. Unfortunately, there is no option can change the default Truetype font. The only method is to change the default annotation font for the drawing. The drawing default font is controlled by a ".dtl" file in each drawing. There is no universal setting that can change the font for all drawings all at once. That being said, the "dtl" file needs to be changed in every drawing one by one. For one project, we have around 3,000 drawings. It will take a long time to change them manually. The Creo object toolkit or VB Api doesn't offer a function that can be
Using Creo 8.0.9 I'm working on a drawing that has a large table of dimensional values that directly reference dimensions created on views in a later sheet. When I create the dimensions on the drawing view, I enter a symbolic name (like 'H4', see image below) that corresponds with the name of the value on the first page. This way if the model changes in the future, the table automatically updates instead of needing to manually type in the new value. So, the table on sheet one has the value &H4, but displays the dimension named 'H4'.The issue I'm running into is that sometimes when I enter the name I want, it brings up a pop-up that says "This symbol is reserved or exists already". When I look through the annotations dropdown in the drawing tree, the dimension name I want isn't found under any of the views so there shouldn't be a conflict. Is there a way to see a list of all created dimensions on a drawing? I've also tried looking in "Show Model Annotations", but don't see the n

Hello guys, I have few simple short questions regarding MathCAD if you can answer them.. Is Conditional Formatting avalible in Mathcad sheet? If yes, how to access it?Is it possible to lock the coding of Advanced Input/Output Commands separately without using the Area Box`s Password Protection?I`ve been using plots from a long time and now I need my graph to display X & Y coordinates exactly at the plotting point. How to do that?I have 50+ worksheets from the Legacy Mathcad (xmcd.) and currently, I`m using Mathcad Prime 10. When I try to convert those files, I`m getting errors in the equations where there was "multiplication" involved. How to solve that?Just as the function of MS Excel`s 'vlookup', I want to use the "if loop" that mathcad has. How to do it? (Example: Consider that, I have an excel sheet data where if I use the data of one column, all the other column data should also get updated. I can`t be able to access it.If, I could get answers for all these, I`d be very m

I have an expression that needs to evaluate sin (x)/x for x =0. I was doing this with simple program with if'sBut Luc suggested I use sinc I know these are the same and even checked by evaluating them numerically. But if I use the sinc expression, it must mess up something later in the worksheet because the results are completely different. (And it is the form with the if's that I know is correct.). I cannot figure out what is happening. Since I have a version that works, maybe I should just ignore the issue and move on, but, if someone can help, I would like to know what is going on. I have posted the worksheets in MC14 and MC11. Both contain the expressions for PHI but evaluation is disabled for the sinc form. Results are given in graphs at the bottom of the worksheets.
Hi,referring the article CS392162, I'm not able to edit the name of the folders. In my example I need to add the mechanica beams and I want to maintain the original ones.I already create the folder structure, as you can see in the image attached:- simulate - steel_beams_mm_mechanica - steel_beams_inch_mechanica I want to change the label of the folders:- SIMULATE - MECHANICA MM - MECHANICA INCH I need it in two different languages, english and another one. Thanks in advance
Have you ever encountered such a situation: In Creo3.0, when editing parameter properties, I wanted to define a drop-down value list for the parameters, but I found that I couldn't click the Define TAB in the Edit Properties dialog box. However, this issue does not exist in Creo4.0 or later versions.
I am just trying to get my solve block to work. I wonder if I am inputting anything wrong. I know what the answer should be; it's a very simple calculation. However, I just want to get my solve block working. Attached sheet. Error on the last page. sheet attached.
Hi,We have a particular case.We have 2 hole pattern on different diameters with the same Common Zone.- 1st pattern is 6xM6 on Ø210- 2nd pattern is 6xØ9 on Ø224Currently, the dimensions are defined as follows:We have manually defined the dims as follow:For the second arrow, we add a leader note at the height of the 6xM8 on Ø210 text note Could we make it more properly without "manual tinkering" in MBD?Regards
