Hello everyone,I have a question, I want to build animation of Electromagnet in Creo 10. Like in this video:I build a model with a curve, which the electrons can go throughHow can I use the slot Connection and pattern here?I tried to make 2 Point on the electrons to have the similar distance of them, but it doesn´t work
Hello Community! We've had difficulties with cross-sections in a specific situation :We want to show section like hereunder to detail the hole profile : And this is the result we get :It seems to be related to the section plane position : I believe this is because there are counterbore surfaces on the same plane as section plane and Creo seems to absolutely hate this : In every community post I saw that were slightly similar to my case, the best working solution I saw was to set an offset for section plane. I tried here with a 0.01 mm offset and it works. Do you have any idea where it comes from? And is there any other resolution to this problem than cheating with an offset? Thank you in advance!
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I just moved from Prime 5.0 to 8.0, and some integrals (symbolic calculation with units) no longer calculate: while it tool a couple of minutes only, the orange disk turns infinitely without success.I'm wondering whether I made a spelling error due to new engine, but I cannot find the solution.
I was able to copy this activation key, which is valid for 72 hours, and paste it into the Manual Product Activation window to use it.The first time, I was able to use it for 72 hours without any problems. After 72 hours have passed, I want to use it again, so I do the same thing, but this time a window appears saying that is incorrect and I can't use it. No matter how many new activation keys I receive, each key is always incorrect and a window appears with the message "the key is not correct". Question:Is this 72 hour activation only once per account? ↓↓↓Confirmed↓↓↓"I create a new account, and i get another 72 hours for activation. But it seems so ridiculous to create a new account for every 72 hours activation..."
After working well since initial download on 7/30/23, Creo Modeling Express no longer starts. Instead a pop up dialogue prompting me for email and password to Activate comes up. After entering my e-address and password. and selecting 'Activate' I get a second dialogue saying: Connection failed. For Modeling Express to automatically activate it requires access to the internet. Please check if a proxy has to be specified and enter your company's proxy server details so that activation can proceed. I'm merely an individual with a laptop, there is no proxy server. My internet connection is fine and I have a basic PTC account. How can I fix this and why did it happen?
My company is wanting to start modeling wiring harnesses in 3D. My plan was to add the connectors into the CAD model with an axis at each point where a pin would be. My current problem is I don't know what to do about the terminals and the locking mechanisms for the terminals (like the small plastic piece you shove in a Deutsch connector so the pins don't come out). I would really rather not add the terminals and locks into CAD just because there just such tiny pieces. We have part numbers for each lock and terminal, would it be possible to somehow add that information to the connectors Creo file? So once the 2D drawing is made is can pull in and show the connector the terminal and the lock when you make one of those tables? Thanks in advance
Hello,I am attempting to scale an item I received from an outside source but whenever I try to use the Scale Model function, the assembly/part does not go under any changes. Is this because the item should have definitions within it, such as sketches to transform? The item I received had no internal sketches or dimensions, so I wonder if that is the cause? For reference I am looking to save the nominal item to a proportionally smaller size and I am on Creo 8.0.11.0
I am having an issue where routed cables are offset from the single connector entry port instead of centered around it. Is there a setting that controls this? I don't recall this ever happening before and after many tests it seems to be most pronounced when using multi stranded cables (twisted pair shown in the attached image). This is producing some unwanted artifacts when moving into drawings and flat manufacturing harness.
How do I recover a Creo Schematics Design? Creo Schematics frequently crashes and when I try to reopen the design I was working on, I receive the error below. In File>Environment I have "Automatic design backup" checked and I set "save design information" to every 20 operation however the autosave folder for each project is always empty. It does show that a recovery file was created called recovery_9-11-2023_15-16-0.rcv but I don't know how to open it in Creo Schematics. I am using Creo Schematics version 8.0.0.0.
I am trying to display wire endpoints in a section view of my cable assembly & only the centerline will display, Even when I exclude the harness.prt from the section view in the model it only appears when it is not behind a sectioned area. Everything I find online suggests: Drawing View → View Display → Cable Display→Thick but that does not resolve my issue. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
Hey all, another what could be just a simple question. I have to insert 45 degree angled lines quite often and the only way I know how to do it is inserting a line close to 45 degrees, adding a dimension, then clicking and dragging the one end of the line to as close to 45 as I can get. 45 degrees doesn't need to be exact in this application but is there any way to do it easier other than adding a symbol or the way I'm doing it currently?
Hello, I want to create Geometry simplified representation by Creo 10 (I have very huge assembly and I do not need info about nested features/geometry from subassemblies). In the past in old Creo, was possible to create Geometry simplified representation. In Creo 10 I have found option: simprep_default_model_status graphicsbut is not working. When I create new rep, system always create only Automatic representationAny ideas how to make Creo faster for huge assemblies? Thanks, Vladimir

I'm trying to apply a thermal load to simulate a bolt preload (a similar technique as it used to be done in Pro/MECHANICA) in a simple two plate model. To model the bolt I made a beam idealization that connects two rigid links at the bolt ends (one for the head and the other for the thread). I created a global material for the plates with 0 [1/°C] thermal coefficient and then another material for the beam with 1.2e-3 [1/°C]. For thermal loads I'm using a temperature load increase to 100C and fixing the rigid links. After that, I run the static analysis but nothing happens. This is the first time I'm attempting this approach for bolt modeling, I'll appreciate any help to understand what I'm doing wrong. Attached is the zip file with the assembly and creo parts for reference as well as an image with some description labels.
I am trying to use the free 30 day trial for the prime version so I dont think I have the product code since I technically didn't purchase anything.
Hi I need to use Newton algorythm with prime. I write algorythm step by step. I don't know prime correctly to make a program for iterative loop. I need to make 10 loop max, and i want to program break when: - iterative loop over 10 or - Error control match with range value Ec I need to enter manualy first step x0 I need to enter nanualy Error_control Ec Please, can you help me to write NR with program in prime. Thanks in this capture: find root for f(x) function with NR algorythm
HiTrying to establish the correct way to layer mechanisms within assemblies for a driveshaft/uni joint setup.I have found a few ways that make it work, however they all seem a little cumbersome. What i currently have is 3 main assemblies 1. Input containing a yoke with a pin constraint2. Output containing a yoke with a pin constraint3. Driveshaft with sub assemblies - universal joint with pin constraints - driveshaft with a slider constraint When assembling these im assumining that i should be using a rigid constraint to put the driveshaft assembly with 2 sets to attach to the Input/Output shafts, however this does not want to work for me. Should i be assembling the driveshaft into the main assembly as a mechanism also? or nesting this differently? Also within the Uni joint, Should the cross be the default with the caps all allowed to rotate? or one set of caps fixed and the cross & alternate caps be allowed to rotate? Its seeming
In Creo Schematics 11.0, when placing a Block shape on a block diagram sheet first, run a report, select place artifact, and then place the Wiring shape on a wiring diagram sheet, the software does this properly. When you have a wiring shape placed first, and then place the block shape next, the software does not show the block shape of that artifact. Only the label is displayed, but the shape's outlines are not displayed. I can click and drag/select the artifact and the properties can be seen in the parameter panel. I have tried updating all sheets, restarting the program, but still does not display. No Error is displayed. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but when I look at J1(NO GOOD) and J2(GOOD) in the model explorer, J1 does not have the 2 block ports (for this shape the ports are named BLOCK and MATE) but J2 does.
When using the Application Programming Interface (API) for C#, only .net framework 4.8 is supported. This version is getting quite old. i.e. released 2019When will the C# API support .NET 8? Is this in the pipeline of future updates for MathCAD Prime
Hi all, I think I discovered a bug in Creo. I am trying to follow this tutorial. Hide the sketch from one drawing view and keep it visible in another drawing view in creo parametric However, this method only works when I hide the sketch in the Model. If it is showing in the model, then the exported PDF shows the lines as well. Also I have tried matching drawing properties as in the video. See in above image, 'PRT_ALL_CURVES' is hidden, but it still shows. for some reason it doesn't matter if it's showing or hidden on the drawing, the model overrides what the drawing exports. If I export the drawing with the model hiding the sketch, then there is no issues (except that the drawing still shows the sketch, it just hides it after exporting which is also extremely confusing/frustrating). Thank you,Jeff Houston
Is it possible to establish an asynchronous connection to another host running Creo? The functions used are ProEngineerConnect & ProEngineerConnectIdExtract & ProEngineerConnectIdGet.The test with the tool nmsq.exe on another host fails:nmsq.exe -host MARVIN -queryERROR: NMS client: could not connect to the Name Server. (host MARVIN, port 31239)on the local host the tool is successful, but only if the hostname is specified, with the ip it does not work locally either
We've been having a problem lately with assembly drawing x-hatching not looking correct after save-as to PDF. This seems to have happened since maybe CREO 9, possibly earlier. But it seems to get worse with each release. It starts out with an assembly drawing with x-hatching. It looks fine. But when we save-as to PDF, the x-hatching looks messed up. I have attached some screen shots of the PDF showing x-hatching not looking correct. This is not the only drawing it happens on. It happens Currently using CREO 10. Thanks in advance.
MathCAD Prime 10 only supports Net48 for the API. Which future version will support net8?
Hi All, We are looking at a possible new opportunity for PTC engagement in CATERPILLAR Solar business. We would like to connect with the PTC team to understand the following: Creo and Windchill IntegrationElectrical Schematic and P&ID linkagePanel Wiring Automation We request if we could connect with the PTC team to discuss these topics. Eagerly awaiting the community's response. Thank you. Regards,Akhil ChallaSimulation Senior Associate EngineerCATERPILLAR
Hi, I encountered an issue when I tried to insert a note to our drawing. When we are using the same drawing for different project, I like to create a "stamp" like note on the drawing to indicate which project this drawing is used for. With the following code, I can set font height but cannot change the font. Although notestyle.getfont confirmed the font was applied, but when it showed, it reverted back to default font "Arial". Did I miss anything? note = drawing.CreateDetailItem(noteInstructions) noteStyle = (New CCpfcAnnotationTextStyle).Create() noteStyle.SetHeight(FontHeight) noteStyle.SetFont("ARIALN.TTF") note.SetNoteTextStyle(noteStyle) Console.WriteLine(noteStyle.GetFont) note.Show()
