Hi All,I am new to the forum.I am doing some case study in DOE,It will be useful if I get some DOE-Mechanical case studies sheet solved in Mathcad Prime 8 Thanks,RegardsGSVP
Hello - I am using the Creo Tolerance Analysis Extension with Creo 6.0. How do you select a true position callout to be included in an analysis? Per the reference guide this is possible, but I cannot find any tutorials or instructions on how to do this. I have spent 2 hours on several scenarios within Creo but I am never able to select the true position callout to be include in the analysis.
Hello, I have a question. As you can see in attached picture, i want to create function if IL1 equal to IL2, but I want the equal to function to only consider 4 number of decimal places (ie: 0.6193). Is it possible? I use Mathcad Prime. Thank you
I would like to make these linkages move together, the easiest way to do this as I think is making the distance from the origin the same for the links (indicated by the lines drawn). However, I am unable to find a way to do that, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. *I am using PTC creo parametric 9.0 student edition
I am trying to use a conventional toolpath the finish the diameters of a tube with flanges welded on the ends. After generating the toolpath not all of the surface inside with milling window is being cut, attached it a picture of the toolpath. Initially I thought the toolpath was being trimmed so the tool would not interfere with the check surfaces, but after shrinking the milling window down that did not seem to change. Does anyone have ideas as to why the end of the toolpath is being trimmed like this?
I am trying to make a couple basic profile milling toolpaths and when posting out the program a G90 or G91 does not show up in the NC code. Initially I thought it was a problem with a setting in the gpost editor but after adding a bit of code I found on this message board into the FIL file it still does not show up. Looking at the .ncl file the command "SET / OFSETL, 90" is not found in the file. Is there a specific place in the mill, operation or toolpath setting where absolute of incremental programming can be set? On another note I would like to be able to insert a G187 P1 into some of my programs, this if for HSM on a HAAS control. I found in the gpost GUI where I can add bits of code before or after a tool change which would almost work. The kicker is I would like to be able to add a number 1, 2 or 3 somewhere in the toolpath parameters that could be written into the P1 portion of the G code (1 is for rouging and 3 is for finishing). I'm assuming there is a way to do this usi
I am getting a new computer which can be upgraded to Windows 11. I did not take the subscription service to upgrade to Prime 7. I would like to continue to use Mathcad 15 and Prime 6. Does anyone have experience on installing Mathcad 15 and Prime 6 on Windows 11? I know neither are certified for Windows 11. Regards,
With a particular section view as shown below, Creo View does not correctly export the section as a vector drawing. The error occurs both when exporting to PDF and CGM. The error also occurs both in Creo View 7.1 and in Creo View 6.1. For example, in the screenshot below, the error occurs at the locations marked with numbers 1, 2 and 3. The two parts in question are displayed in the exported PDF and CGM files exactly the same as if their section surfaces were not capped. However, all other parts are correctly displayed with capped section surfaces in the exported vector file (e.g. PDF): It should be noted that the two problematic parts were originally assigned with a partial transparency when the model was exported from Creo Parametric as a PVZ file. Currently however, the two parts have 0% transparency as set in "Edit Properties" -> "Appearance" in Creo View, so they are completely opaque. If instead of exporting the entire view/assembly, only a
I just received an email that the fix for the cursor disappearing in family tables will be in Creo 9.0.5.0. Can someone help me find a link to the release dates since typing "Release Date" into the search bar for PTC.com does not come up with any helpful results? Thanks.
Hello, Can anyone help me on this? I'm running global license from a Host but no backup server, there are other option then TRIAD? If someone have other idea please let me know. Running Creo parametric 7.
Dear All, I am trying to write a program to return the only KP values when F is greater than 0.
I've imported several stp files and struggling when placed on a drawing border to show centre marks of holes. How can I add this, help appreciated.
Dear All, I am trying to assign the back to the largest value matrix within the gap =6 back to the range, i.e. 1 to 6, 6 to 12 and 12 to 18 and so on .. What is a suitable program and looping to do compare and reassign the largest value back to the range of matrix.
Has anyone else been having trouble in 9.0.3.0+ with the offset tool not updating references, completely falling apart or flipping around? I'm not even adding or deleting references, just moving existing and it keeps breaking. I've read up on the Articles and Posts, but none of them explain the instability. I opened a case with PTC TS and an SPR will be filed. Examples:Movement of bottom surface not automatically updating the references: Movement of bottom surface causing all entities to lose connection to each other:Edit outer profile dimension, causes offset reference to be lost Change hole to thru hole causes one side of profile to flip, but not the other? @mneumueller I know you've worked a lot on this tool. Have we some solutions in the works for these issues?

HiI want to calculate the maximum deflection of a structure subjected to bending. The deflection occurs within the buckling length, defined as the deflection within the points of inflection i.e. where M(z)=0. I have plotted the moment and the deflection in the attached file, but need further assistance finding the maximum deflection within the buckling length (see page 2 in the attached file). Any help appreciated!
Hello, I am new here, and would like to know if there is someone modeling optical fiber lasers using MC Prime 9.0.0.
Mathcad prime 8 Are the worksheets in the structural design library able to be downloaded or are they suuposed to only be pdf files for reference? Are they free/how to buy if not?
I have a model of a stamping die. it is fairly big - around 2500 features and ~100MB in size. Regeneration takes a while - around 25 seconds. It is driving me crazy that anything new added at the end of the model tree (for example a new datum plane) causes the regeneration of all 2500 features. I am not used to this as typically the system only regenerates the features that are needed. I wonder I suppose it doesn't help that this model has the "need regeneration" icon that won't go away - so maybe I have to solve that issue. Just checking if there some model-specific setting that can affect this behavior? (using Creo 4)
I have created custom symbols and added them to the Symbol Palette (draw_symbol_palette.drw) and it works correctly. What I would like to do is add the same symbols to the palette that appears when you modify a dimension, for the Dimension Text symbols. You have many symbols available and you can manually add the symbol to the dimension. Example: "@[xx@]" will give you 'xx' in a box. The reason to add it in this location is so that when a tolerance is added, the symbol will automatically move out to the correct location and for ease of use for the users.
Hi.I'm looking for a better solution to generate the tap (G code) file faster.Creating the G code from Creo takes more than 20 minutes for per component and at that time I cannot use Creo (Creo is busy with this conversion from NCL to Tap format.Do you know any solution to generate the Tap file remotely or using different approach and not keeping Creo busy with this conversion.Thx,CC
how to get materials from the part(all component part) here i use 'ProMaterialCurrentGet' (Part is input). for finding the Materials Which API call i should Add?.
Hello, Was wondering if someone had this issue ever, it just started for some reason. When I import a STEP or IGES file the tree in inaccessible and the import gives crazy characters when loading and after loading. I can make planes and features but nothing shows in tree. Now it even does this when I load an assembly that used a STEP or IGES that i used in a previous design. I'll attach some screen shots to show you what I mean. Any help appreciated.
When the body is extruded, the surfaces are created as splitted. How can i avoid that? How can i merge them?
