I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0We have a business configuration and Winchill as PLM (PDM). In our configuration we point to our libraries (our libraries are on windchill). We have, for example, libraries for our drawing template. But when I create a new drawing care don't reach the libraries we ask in the configuration, we reach the standard PTC libraries. This issue starts one day with no explication, I'm the only user who has this issue and we tried some re-install and install on an other computer but nothing change.
Creo View is displaying a narrow font when viewing a drawing that was exported as CGM format. The native dwg from Creo Parametric and Catia displays the font correctly before exporting as CGM. Is there a setting in Creo View that converts or shows the correct/native font when viewing the drawing?
Hello, What would be the best way to get the inheritance part number into a drawing. I am using creo with windchill My scenario is that i would like to be able to refer to this in a drawing automatically, i have been trying to see if there was a method with the parameters but when i create the inheritance feature, the file name is the only thing i can refer to, which the file name and PN do not always match.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0Creo exit just after launching. Here are the errors that I facedstd.err file generated with below errorpm_is_portmapper_port_busy: bind failed, error = 10013pm_is_portmapper_port_busy: bind failed, error = 10013Recently Changed OS Version from Windows 7.0 to Windows 10.
hiiii, I am new user of creo and i have one problem. As shown in Photos i have one plate and one pipe part. i assemble those two parts. how can i insert extrude with cut feature automatically when i assembled the pipe part to the plate. I knew insert the feature by UDF. Thanks in advace !!!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0Creo not able to start. give fatal error. Here are the errors that I facedFatal error encountered. A traceback has been written to U:/********/traceback.logPlease send it to Technical Support.
When I use Creo Distributed Batch to import STEP files I get the following error: "[-16] Error: Wrong input data format. Model Import failed" The file came from Catia V6 in AP203 with extensions v1 format. It is an assembly and can be imported manually into Creo Parametric 8.0.6.0 with no problem. I note that the ttd file in Creo Batch says "STEP 3D Import of Parts". Does that mean you cannot import assemblies in this way? I have a few hundred of these to import, so it will be very painful to do it manually. Does anyone have any thoughts as to how to import these in bulk?
Hello all, I have attached a sheet with a simple example function where the voltage jumps. This causes convergence problems. I am working actually more complex signal at a capacitor, but I cant share my actual sheet.Basically my attached example is the same... I have waveform with a discontinuity. Later I do a derivation of the voltage signal. Also I want to do a FFT of this signal and therefore I sample it. In any way I have convergence problems and I dont know how to handle that. Do you have an idea? Here is a screenshot of the sheet in case you cannot open it:
I've recently encountered an irritating intermittent / delayed problem using Simulate. At some stage during a session, after several iterations, the Results window suddenly refuses to open. The button, either in the Ribbon or within the Analyses and Studies window, just stops doing anything (although I haven't tried closing Simulate and using the Simulate Results button directly from Creo Parametric). The only solution I've found is to close and restart Creo (which is obviously a nuisance).Has anyone else encountered this?Creo 2.0 M120, running with Windchill 10.1 M040, network installation.
I have a simple text file that I've been importing to every model in my workspace for a while now.My titleblocks are integrated to read these parameters and automatically fill everything out. This is working great. BUT... Now the engineer wants to change the checker & checker date parameters on everything. Is there any way to import this txt file into every part/assy into every file in my workspace?Instead of opening every part/assy and importing the txt file manually?I really don't want to do this 350+ times. It's actually a .xml, but it opens in notepad. Same as Configs.

Greetings. I am somewhat able to create a repeat region table containing all of the information I need. However there are certain issues which I cant seem to get past. Problem 1 : I have a column for cable length, and I populated the top column with the following report string: &mbr.connprm.pin.run.len[.0]. 2 wires in particular is a part of a cable feature, one is displaying the proper length, one of which is not displaying anything. I did not manually assign any manual lengths, so I am now sure how to fix this issue, any ideas? Problem 2: I have a different column, displaying length again, with the following report string: &harn.run.len[.0]. I have 3 wires as a part of a cable feature, each with varying lengths. In the table, only the longest length of wire is being displayed for all three wires. I am assuming that because this is a single cable, it is giving me the longest length in the wires, but whether I am right or not is what I was
Hi all, I want to use ODESOLVE to solve the set of equations for a given volume (v). On top of that, I want to make all of those equations also depended on the variable CXmin, to evaluate the influence of this parameter on the costs calculated below. However, I run into the problem that I don't know how to set Cxmin as a unkown in the solveblock, causing errors. Can anyone help me making the solveblock solve for the volume (v) while setting CXmin as a, to be chosen, variable too? Your help is greatly appreciated in advance. With kind regards!
I have created an assembly with the flexible components and controlled its length through variable items. based on the assembly I created the repeat region BoM table in the drawing. but the drawing BoM shows that, each component as a separate line item even though it has the same part number. Also, I noticed that Creo is combining the flexible components that are in same length. Pls. suggest an idea to combine these parts into single item with correct quantity. Refer uploaded image..
Hello, I need to change the location of several in Creo and I'm not finding this path dump_x86e_win64
My memory must be going. I seem to remember being able to drag a sketch out of a feature in the tree and make it an external sketch so I can use it elsewhere. Can I do this?
Hello, I have been having problems with my Creo 9 (Student Edition) installation. When I try to open the Surface Finish Gallery or the Hatching Configurator I keep getting the warning that the corresponding file "was created with a commercial version of Creo Parametric and is not compatible with the Creo Parametric Student Edition (for educational use only) you are running." after which the program shuts down completely.I am sure this problem exteds beyond the mentioned configuration files.A reinstallation of Creo did not fix this (neither did a second one). There has not been any other version of Creo installed on my computer, nor have I uses any other license apart from the Student license I am currently using. Is there a way to fix this problem? Is it even wise to use the most recent version of Creo or are previous versions generally more stable?Thaks in advance for any input.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0Single model is crashing creo, and unable to get it to open. Hoping to see if you have any ideas on resolving so we don't lose 3 months of work. Here are the errors that I facedNo error messages it just crashes
Hi, I installed Creo 9 student-Version in VM-Ware. The installation worked well and I am able to start Creo. But when I create a new part and a new sketch, the references don't seem to match the planes. (see pictures). Also when I zoom out the references dont line up with the referenced plane anymore and move up/down... What is wrong here ? Thanks,
I am trying to open a large assembly provided by a customer that is a “.PKG” file. It appears to import successfully (other than a few import validation errors). Our customer uses Creo Elements Direct.I am trying to search the model tree for certain parts but it’s not finding them. The parts I am looking for are in the model, they are just have other names. Our customer says when they open the file in Creo Elements Direct all of the part files have the correct numbers. Is Creo Parametric fully compatible with a .PKG file from Creo Elements Direct? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Hi all,I'm setting up a basic Family Table for fasteners.I want to add the 'Pitch' column in the family table but it won't let me.The Pitch parameter is in the generic part but when I click on Add Column - Parameter, it doesnt show in the list for selection. How can I fix this? Thanks
I've been using R14 for a while and recently tried switching to Prime to see if it would be a useful upgrade, but I've failed miserably at reproducing some very simple work from R14 (I didn't want to uninstall R14 to put R15 on to do the conversion so I thought I'd try something from scratch).I would like to plot the result of a simple function across a range, I've declared the function and verified it works but I can't plot it using a range variable for one of the arguments? It gives me the error "There are too many range variables"...what am I doing wrong?
I am not able to save large assembly files in Creo elements/ direct modeling in .pvz or .stp format. May I know why is that happening? Even if I am able to save some assemblies, some parts are not available in Creo illustrate 9.0. I have also attached the error image. Can someone help me with this?
Hey Guys,Since we are upgrading from Creo4 to Creo8 I am fixing some mapkeys and am struggling. How do I place Symbols in an Assembly on an entity in Creo8?The symbol handling and menu is completely different. The goal is to place a Symbol an a before created DTM_PNTThis is how it was in Creo4:Any help is much appreciated.Best RegardsMaximilian
I'm wondering if there's a better workflow available to export the profile of a flat part as a .dxf file for use with a water jet cutter/laser cutter/plasma cutter table. My current workflow is as follows:1) Model part and define a "Front" view normal to the plate that will be cut2) create new drawing in Creo3) select my drawing template which gives me the "Front" view I've established in the model at 1.000 scale4) File>Save As>Export5) Select .dxf and export6) open the new .dxf in my CAM software and remove the sheet outline I could cut down on my mouse clicks by using mapkeys, but before I do that I'm wondering if there's an elegant way to generate a clean .dxf. When I trialed OnShape you could just right click a flat surface and export it as a .dxf straight from the assembly which was very convenient.
