Again, here I am asking for help in animating a chart. I can't get a moving dot/symbol moving on the red curve. In particular, I am not able to successfully define the symbol and its movement parameters in the diagram.Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar

Hi all, I'm somewhat new to MathCad. I'm trying to use a solve block to find a solution to several co-planar triangles that have some common sides/angles.  I've got it drawn up in CAD so I can check my calcs.   In the attached sheet, everything up to the solve block is verified.  I ended up with ten variables and ten equations.  I entered all this in a solve block (very bottom of the sheet).  I'm getting a "These units are not compatible" error.   It's possible my math is wrong or that some of my equations are redundant but before I dig into that, can anyone see any obvious error I made? Like in the syntax or units? Thanks,    

I work on a pretty big creo\windchill network. When our "librarian" updates a family table (say, adds a screw) on "the network", I have a "screw" from that family table in my assembly, I update my workspace and update in session, the screw(s) from that family table that I have in my assembly revert to the generic of the family table. The only way to get back the instance I have placed is to close everything that uses that family table, erase not displayed and reopen my assembly. Which sometimes is a pain, with bigger assemblies. This has happened for quite a while now. I am sure it is not this version of Creo or Windchill, it predates the current versions we are using. Maybe there is a setting we have that is not saving family tables correctly? Frustrating. Thanks for any help. --James Windchill: Release: 11.1 M020-CPS26Creo: 8.0.5.0

I have a wide document. Whenever, I expand an area and the tool moves the horizontal bar right to shown more of the right hand side of the document. This then hides the Area expansion buttons. How can I prevent the tool from doing this? We have documents with lots of expansion areas so this makes it difficult to navigate the worksheet since it moves about on you and requires constantly moving the horizontal bar left again to browse all the Areas.

I have defined every variable except for Lb. I thought with it being defined as an independent variable in the function, Mathcad would understand to vary it from 0 to basically infinity. If not, how do I define Lb to work like that. Thanks.

Is there a way to install creo 9 to 22 network pcs for students? I have the latest from https://www.ptc.com/en/products/education/free-software/k12-educator/thank-you  but it seems I would need to manually install this on all the pcs  

First, let me put my flak jacket on under my flame retardant suit...   I still have my 5-1/4" disk of Mathcad 1.0 from 1987.  I LOVE Mathcad.  It has served me well my entire career.  For a long time I have been right there with the other Mathcad 15 zealots on this forum.  I had the opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with the Mathcad product managers and developers about 10 years ago in Latham, MA and I told them across the conference table, "Until Prime can provide the basic requirements of a high school 2D plot (Title, labels, legend, readable axis, etc.), Mathcad Prime will be nothing more than a toy!".   There was palpable silence in the room, I can tell you.  Reflecting back, I was seriously angry because I could see that my beloved Mathcad was coming to an end and the only replacement for it was inadequate.   Then I waited.  Ten years.  Nothing.   I teach a corporate Mathcad course to get our engineers to use Mathcad

Hi,How do you automatically show model or assembly annotation feature note (General Notes) that won't be tied to a drawing view when creating new drawings?I basically want the note contained in the annotation shown in the image below to be automatically shown on the drawing format in the upper left corner as general notes when a user creates a new part or assembly drawing.  Currently you have to change to the annotate tab, expand the feature tree, pick the annotation note, right click and click show for every drawing that's created.Would there be a way to show this annotation at the format level or in a drawing template so that it's automatically shown when a new drawing created? Thanks for any help you can provide,Don A

Can we create a Part file(.Prt) using 2 Different parts from backup with Assembly positions control using Multibody option.   example: I have two different parts Models created in creo as two seperate parts, But I need to create as a single Part file. Can we create using Multi body option? If so, how we can be able to bring geometry to a part file with parametric.      

We are experiencing a new issue where the Print Screen button used to trigger Techsmith SnagIt does not work  when Creo is the active application. It used to work flawlessly, but recently stopped working. Its not a change in Creo because we have not updated Creo in 6 months Its not a change in SnagIt because we have not updated SnagIt in months (IT controlled) My best guess is a change introduced by Windows Updates, Optional Windows Updates or Manufacturer Updates in Windows 10.    We use two primary suppliers for laptops and the problem appears to be isolated to Lenovo P series laptops running Windows 10. Lenovo has its own driver update tool keeping the laptop hardware and graphics drivers up-to-date which could add to the confusion.    Our current work-around is to click on another application to trigger SnagIt, but this drops any active UI in Creo. Simple screen shots are easy, but training screen shots are now a bit harder since the active UI elements ar

pentable is not working saving to PDF. I think the issue is Config editor doesn't have right stuff activated,but, the pdf use pentable and use 8 pens options disappear after being added when Settings is reopened and rest to NO. 

wfcTexture::GetFilePath from the Creo 8 object toolkit returns only the file name, not the full path to the image file.  Is there any way to get the actual full file path for the texture image via the object toolkit? 

I am using Creo View MCAD Ver 9.1   I am opening Creo.asm files and I want to explode some parts (which works) and then I want to select several of the parts and Save them but when I go to the File drop down the 'Save As' is not available.   Is there a setting or something that can be done?  I'm a new user and just installed it yesterday.  The support company that I purchased it from showed me that it works fine with .PVS files but that isn't what I'm working with.  I also have .PRT files that I would like to save together but I have the same issue.        

Is there a good way to compare two assemblies' geometry?  I have an assembly that we sent to an outside firm for modifications.  Those modifications were sent back to us as a step file.  The BOM is different and difficult to compare, but the geometries look nearly identical.  Is there a good way to compare model Geometry?Ideally it would be a transparent model with removed geometry in red (solid) and added geometry in green (solid).  That way I can quickly identify differences in the models. 

I have a model that I'm trying to run an analysis on but I can not get it to mesh properly. It is a very odd situation because I can mesh it no problem in AutoGEM and view the mesh results with no errors or warnings but when I start the Analysis and it attempts to mesh the model, I get a completely different number of elements in the mesh and errors. I have tried deleting all the existing mesh files, deleted the folders for the Analysis and even copied everything to a new folder and I get the same results....AutoGEM makes 125k elements, Analysis and Design studies makes 105k elements with all of the default options. Anyone have a clue what could be going on here?

Hallo,I work with Pvz files in Creo Illustrate 9.0.The concerned parts that do show in Creo Illustrate are the "Model Construction Geometry Surfaces". The Pvz file does contain them and is not the problem. These parts do not however show in the Svg export.  These "Model Construction Geometry Surfaces" concern parts we buy, for example a gearbox or an air filter. These parts are used in our Cad models, next to the parts we model ourselves. I am working on a parts catalogue and I need all parts to show in the Svg (an exploded view). how can I make that happen? thank you in advance   

The attached small system of ordinary differential equations cannot be solved, I need help. With the help of gdg solver I have had success so far. There must be a harmless error somewhere that I can't find.

I activated my license by clicking activate>configure product to use existing license> check Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0>file:[license file path]> then they said it's done.   But then it's still saying that my program is an express version. and many functions are still locked. Is this what it's supposed to be for a student version? If not, how ca  I fix them? Thank you very much!

In MC14 I need letters from the German and non-Latin alphabet/character set (e.g. I want Sütterlin) to designate special objects/vectors. Specifically, I want to define vectors such as x(t) and e(t) this way. How can this font be implemented in MC14?Weekend greeting, Alfred Flaßhaar
