I cannot acquire a license for the 30 day trial with full functionality. I go through the PTC Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0 License Wizard and on the "Acquire License" tab, the progress bar loads while saying "Verifying Eligibility..." until it freezes and after 20-30 seconds I get an error saying "License service appears to be busy. Please try again."I really need to try out the full functionality to see if this software is suitable for my needs.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi All,I have change threaded hole dia standarts. Can I change?I have looked under sd_customize folder full path is "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Modeling 20.5.1.0\personality\sd_customize\MachiningAdvisor" but I did not see all parameters.
The offset lines in the parts tree cover a lot of space in assemblies. It takes a lot of scrolling up and down. All other elements of the tree can be grouped. Is there a possiblity to hide or to group the offset lines?
Hello, up to now I am using MathCad 15, and there I use the feature of the two calculation runs:1rst run: using global definitionIn this run I put all of my calculations, which usually requires re-definition of global parameter. 2nd run: using "normal" operatorsIn this run I put results, plots etxc. The big advantage is that I can place# all parameter definitions at the top of the sheet# all results just below the parameter definitions# all formulas below the results In Prime this seems not to be possible any more, as a global parameter can only be defined once. Now I have 2 issues:# how to place results at the top of the file ?# how to convert my MathCad 15 files? Hope that someone can helpChristoph
We have a circle with r=10 cm. Solve the blue area of Octagon and Square make the shape. This is able to find without trigonometric function or Junior high school knowledge. But we can use Mathcad to solve.
Hello Everyone. From the following : Thanks in advance for your time and help. Best Regards. Loi.
hello allwe are working since 2 weeks in Creo parametric 7 but our cad worker admin installed a Creo parametric 8 version for the cad worker.today we see some differences between what we have in Creo parametric 7 and the viewable made.see screenshotsif I open this drawing in Creo parametric 8 I can see also those modificationsquestions: is there a config option to avoid this behavior on the cad worker? i tried :auto_clean_shown_dimensions noUSE_V19_CLEAN_DIMS no also USE_V19_CLEAN_DIMS yeswithout results.seems related to flat definition on sheet metal so what is different in creo parametric 8?thanks for your help
The picture shows the "ears" I add to rectangular depressions in a part so that the fillet left by the milling cutter will be removed and I can bolt a rectangular part with sharp edges into the depression. Is there some better way to handle this problem in Creo? What do you do? As a footnote, we used to call a depression like the one shown, a "dap." Is there a better term now in use?
Puzzle-25. Solve red area of triangles. Prime 8 sheet attached. Q1 for 12 years kids. Q2 for Mathcad users. Symbolical solutions are better.
Hello,I have a problem of surface finish with a volume rough. The previous operation leaves 0.2mm of stock (walls and bottom) for the finish with my volume rough. I choose a spiral toolpath and i have sharp edges between each trajectory segments. In the real world this create micro stops of the servos of my milling machine and a very bad surface finish. So i decide to apply a radius with the option "Smooth_corner_radius = Max radius" and "Smooth_radius = 1" (End mill of 6mm diameter). The problem :The calculated trajectory miss some areas of my surface...Same problems with "constant_radius" and angle_radius" for "Smooth_corner_radius", smaller radius value and thinner "step_over". Some ideas ? Thanks in advance
The other day my (HAAS) machine crashed doing a G81 canned drill cycle. I'm not sure how to fix it, but I can't be the first to run into this issue. Hopefully one of you can suggest a reliable way to fix this. Here is what happened: I had a G19 in the program which changed to the YZ plane. But there were no circular movements in XY before the G81, so the post processor never added in a G17 code to change back to the XY plane. When the G81 was called, the drill cycle happened in the YZ plane instead of XY, which crashed the drill. Later, there was a circular movement, so the G17 code showed up there, but it was too late for my drill cycle. So apparently, the post processor doesn't realize that canned cycles are affected by the active plane. Is there a checkbox for this somewhere? Is there some better way to address this problem? Thanks for any help!
Hello,Every time i select "constant load" on a rough sequence, Creo add a at the start of each trajectory a ramping. It is not a correct arc but a succession of straight segments. The huge problem is that in practice, during machining my milling machine moves jerkily and vibrates enormously to follow all the segments. With other types of scanning, i do not have this problem, the cut start on the right Z position. (Volume milling with cst load option = same problem) Rough with cst load : Rough with "Follow contour or spiral" Any idea to remove this "ramping" ? Thanks in advance.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.7.0Within the cabling module, wires are losing assigned colors seemingly at random. The spool colors are designated and the appearances are added to the appearance manager as they should be. (They are auto designated via spool parameters)May not be random, though I haven't been able to pinpoint a cause. The most recent time this has happened was after modifying the angle of a wiring node location. I was able to change ports on wires without issue. This has happened multiple times though I haven't found a reliable solution to fix this or a way to avoid it. Any ideas?
How to activate the model with Creo Object TOOLKIT C++, which function can be activated?
Hi, how can I assemble components to coordinates like x,y,z and Rx,Ry,Rz and set the constraint to fixed with the VBAPI? Do I need to use IpfcTransform3D? I can't get it to work. A different approach could be adding a coordinate system with such kind of coordinates and constrain the component to this csys, delete the constraint and set one to fixed. I'd like to have the same functionality adding components like in the PDMLink structure tab and editing the coordinate values within excel for automating a huge assembly structure. I have working code from the examples for assembling components to default or setting different constraints. I would really appreciate it If you can you help memoving the components. Thanks!David
Hi communityin this worksheet prime does not want to calculateanyone have an idea, the function is however defined Prime8 attached file
HiPlease find the attached mathcad prime worksheet. I am trying to plot Vo(t) vs t. An error stating "Plotting failed. Replace complex numbers and NaNs by real numbers is showing. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
Good evening, I am a new user trying to open some old files the creator informed me were made with Prime 3.1.I installed Mathcad 8.0, but am unable to open the files. The files are available in an article on a technical hobby site at https://www.qsl.net/g3wzt/g3wzt1.html where download links are provided. I downloaded the files, extracted the zipped ones and tried to open them but wasn't able to. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am a newbie, so I apologize for any goof ups. RegardsJohn
Hi Guys, In desperate need of your Help. I want to setup Z-Axis to be vertical by default across Creo, But Y-Axis is Vertical.Right now using Config.Pro Option, Orientation set to Isometric. Also created a Custom CSYS with Vertical Z-Axis using the same to calculate CoG & Inertia and File Import operations. But every time I've to select this CSYS to consider it as reference and few users unaware of this unintentionally caused lot of issues. I want to setup Config.Pro Option, Orientation set to user_default. Can someone let me know what angles should I use for x_angle & y_angle to get Z-Vertical. Attached Images for your reference.
Can someone point me to a good explanation or youtube on how to change dimension schemes in Creo 9?For example, if it want to locate a crank-pin on the face of a cylindrical model, I would want the dimensions to by the diameter of the pin and the radial distance from the axis of the cylinder, not the dimensions to two planes. It looks like there is some simple way to step the dimension set through the choices which will work. I is there a group of training videos here that I can access to learn some of these improvements? If so, where are they? Yes, I know this is a simple question, but.....
Now that our department has converted over to MathCad Prime 8, how is it possible to access the FRAME ANIMATION function that was available from previous MathCad software versions? functionality of the FRAME function is required
Hello, Everyone. From the following :Given :Let ABC be a triangle with incircle ( I ), and let ( I ) touch BC, CA, AB at A', B', C', respectively. Drop perpendicular from A' onto B'C' at A''. Lines BA'' and CA meet at B''. Lines CA'' and AB meet at C''. Prove :C'C'' + B'B'' = C''B'' ( dark-green + green = red ) Thanks in advance for your time and help. Best Regards. Loi.
I have Creo 7.0.2 set up in a performance testing lab on a small local network, with no access to the internet.Creo is taking a long time to start up in this environment, 4x longer than any system I've tried with regular internet access. I suspect the slow launch is somehow related to the networking configuration, but I haven't found a solution. While Creo launches, I can see in Resource Manager that xtop.exe is attempting to access several external IP addresses...It tries to access different ports on these addresses, or slightly different addresses each time.It seems like the launch is slowed down waiting for these connections to time out. Quality Agent was disabled at install time.Antivirus and Firewall are disabled.License server is on the local network and accessible with <1ms pingI’ve tried disabled these Creo settings:File >> Options >> Window Settings >>Expand the browser during startupLet me know when a new version is availableI’ve tried the follow
Hello, can anyone help me write this in mathcad prime? Can't seem to place "otherwise" in my equation
Hello everyone, I want to import excel data to a table that has names and units... I'm adding the excel data and Mathcad file.
